Fire Roasted Corn Salsa
Outside patio was great!! Servers and management were excellent and used PPE!
It was ok, but disappointing overall.
We love going there! Staff is so friendly. Can’t wait to go back!
We were happy to get out of the house during COVID-19 restrictions opening up and during the week. We were the only ones sitting on our side of the front door outside and had a wonderful time catching up with great food and drinks and they even brought out a birthday cheesecake with 2 lit candles since it was my birthday and another person's birthday was coming up and it was slightly windy that day. Service was perfect!
This was our first in-dining experience since Covid. The staff was vigilant and we appreciated the distance between us and other guests. I felt comfortable, respected and like our sense of safety mattered. The food was excellent. I would definitely eat at McCormick & Schmick’s again!
A fantastic evening out. The service was outstanding.
Dinner with my Mom and her partner Vaughn. We had some drinks to start - I recommend the raspberry mule. All of our meals (steak meal, Caesar salad with a crab cake, and my stuffed salmon) were magnificent. We also split a slice of chocolate silk pie, which was delicious and rich and perfect to split. Service was fantastic, and ambiance was just right for a lively discussion about the world we’re living in right now - and we dined outside, watching protesters pass that are fighting for racial equality. 10/10 meal - we will be back.
Always enjoy myself.! Great food and great service.
Given the pandemic, there was only outdoor seating which was pleasant though a nearby car alarm did detract from the ambience (no fault of the restaurant).
The service was attentive, the food was as usual very good though my salmon requested medium rare was well.
We are so grateful that the restaurant stayed open for take out and now outdoor dining given the pandemic.
This is a long standing favorite of ours.
Outdoor patio started raining had to have food boxed and go home as not able to be inside due to phase 1
Great food, and a lovely atmosphere.
Great food and the outdoor dining was enjoyable. They did a good job dealing with the social distancing rules with no inconvenience to quality or service.
Service is always professional and the fish is always fresh. Where M&S falls short is there price point for the dish. You get a fresh piece of fish but a plain roasted potato (think breakfast home fries) and a chopped mixed vegetable for about $30. The chef could do so much more with the sides to elevate the dish to the price you pay.
Excellent presentation and very delicious entrees.
Manager on duty and Taylor our server offered outstanding service.
Service waiter was very slow and kitchen very slow.
Steak not cooked as ordered
Lobster bisque was good
Had a better experience at the DC location
Very friendly staff. I appreciate their hard work and honesty
All four of us enjoyed our meals. The food was well prepared, portions were just right and dietary needs were accommodated. We were seated in a booth with walls which made conversation among the four of us very easy to hear.
Great happy hour menu! Waitress was attentive and food was good. We will return!
JP did such an excellent job...he really took such good care of us! And our food was delicious!
The food and the experience were excellent. For three of us, our three choices were: scallops, ahi tuna, and swordfish. Each one was outstanding. I used to go to McCormick & Schmick often. Then it seemed to go downhill. I had not been to McCormick & Schmick for several years. My belief was that there was only one truly excellent seafood restaurant in Reston. Now I know there are two, and one of them is McCormick and Schmick.
My only recommendation is for them to change their wood tables. They were stained from wet classes with many circle all over.
I would also suggest that Open Table communicates the customer's requests with the restaurant sooner. They did not receive my comment and request for a table near the window, but they accommodated me anyways. Thanks.
Went for brunch for my father's 70th birthday. It was a great meal and the kids had a great time as well.
Scallops were very small for the cost (4 for $41). Serve was awesome.
My steak was excellent. Only thing that was less than outstanding was the roasted root veggies. They could have been cooked a bit more. The carrots were very hard.
Cold seafood appetizer was good but very small pieces of crab
Margarita was not good - martini was fine
Blackened trout was dry and not well seasoned - potatoes were excellent
Beef medallions were ordered medium, but were served medium rare - very little sauce for the portion - spinach was under seasoned
Coffee was very good as was Smith island cake
We had a very pleasant server but he is clearly still training and left us for extended periods of time, especially at the end of our meal
Food was subpar. Service was slow. Restaurant wasn’t super clean. It was a real disappointment.
Quiet business meal over lunch. Food is good as always server seems a little inexperienced but friendly.
Great food... great service. The manage came by a couple times.... once to tell us about the oysters we just ordered and to check on our meal? Our waiter, Christopher, was amazing! We couldn't have had a bad experience even if we tried! I have been converted to a McCormick regular because of the visit 👍
The salmon with beets and asparagus was delicious and fit my dietary restrictions
Food cooked to perfection. Personalized service was outstanding.
Very pleased, we got seated immediately and our servers took good care of us. My husband ordered fresh oysters and I ordered clam chowder soup, both were delicious. As main dish my husband ordered lobster tail and I ordered the grilled seafood trio. Both dishes were also delicious. We ended our night with créeme brûlée. Our dining experience was excellent, from the service received to the quality of the food.
Service was ok but was valentine's day and wifes birthday. When M&S called back to confirm reservation said wife would get birthday dessert. Told waitress wifes birthday and she said happy birthday. We ordered desserts and both charged. We drove up from NC and chose this M&S because we used to live in area and came for birthdays and anniversaries.....Will dtill come when in area....
McCormick and Schmick used to have a better wine menu (older red wines) and a variety of fresh catch that changed daily. Not this time. The wine list included Ecco Domani Pinot Grogio, available from Costco for $8 a bottle and which no respectable restaurant would carry. We had Valentine's dinner so perhaps that's why they had more of a standard menu. The two lobster tails were small relative to the $38 price.
We were thrilled with both the food and service on our most recent trip to M&S 2/14/20. We previously had poor experiences here on Valentine’s Day but this year was much different. Our waiter was very personable and attentive. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. So happy we didn’t let a couple poor services keep us from returning.
Food was delicious and service was great. It was Valentine's Day and the mood was just right.
Absolutely amazing experience my fiancé and I from the time we were treated at the door with David(absolutely amazing hostess by the way he deserves a raise) and the waiter whom I cannot remember his name a made the experience incredible we will be returning again for sure. Thank you for a wonderful Valentine’s Day for my fiancé and I.
We ordered drinks the moment we sat down and it took 30 min for them to be delivered. By the time they were delivered the logo in the signature M&S drink was melted and the prosecco sangria was watered down, which makes me believe they were sitting on the bar for awhile. We ordered appetizers 10 minutes after the drinks and those came out before the drinks were delivered. I understand the bar gets backed up, but it would’ve been nice if they would’ve let us know that or if something was done about the delayed, watered down drinks. I except more from restaurants when I am paying $15-$20 for drinks.
I got violently ill hours after eating here.
My mom came down for a visit
