We were at the restaurant for over two hours and had a very enjoyable experience.
The is now the 2nd bad experience, first being way pre-COVID and now post. Used to come here quite frequently, but not really sure what happened to the overall staffing, very rough. Walked in for our reservation, bartender looked right at us and kept working, eventually walking outside. Could hear 2 people chatting near the kitchen, waited for a few minutes before asking if anyone was available to help. Was finally seated (we were the only people in the place) and server had a personality of a wet rag. Very impersonal. Asked about the special listed on the website, neither he or the manager had any clue, and we were asked to pull it up from their website on our phones to prove it. Seriously? Oyster apps were great, but the berry mojito tasted different every time. While we were getting ready to order, several more tables filled up, one with a very large party of about 20, plus 3 other tables. Same server as ours. Finally got our order in, lobster bisque was oliy and way too salty. Stuffed salmon was undercooked. Ordered a separate lobster tail, and had to request twice for a knife (other than a butter knife) to cut it. Expect for things to be a little shaky due to COVID, but not quite this bad. Sadly, we will not return here. Also, free parking in the garage no longer free and is $5. You would think after spending $250 on a meal that the validated parking would be free, like it used to be. Better than the $30 I guess, but still... no longer worth it.
The food was good. I think they were understaffed. It appeared there was only one waiter for the entire section.
The server was very attentive. Still quiet ambiance which was nice.
Food was excellent but customer service lacking due to being understaffed there was one guy bartending and waiting on 10 tables (Diego) he was so overwhelm he was sweating profusely not a good look from a waiter standing in front of your table taking your order at a high end restaurant. There is no parking so you have to park in the hotel garage which is $30 that's ridiculous they try to make you feel better by giving $5 discount on parking fees not enough suppose to be about the food not stimulating the local economy
Great lunch. Should give 5 stars
Great food, tasty, high quality. Outstanding value for the price!
We were seated promptly, food didn't take long to arrive. Our meal and drinks were delicious, steak prepared to perfection.
M&S used to be a go-to place for special dinners. The Rosemont location has really gone downhill, maybe due to COVID? Their dirty martini used to be my favorite but it was poorly mixed and served in a tumbler full of ice. The crab cakes had bits of shell in them and the filet was a very poor cut of meat more like a chopped steak. They need to get back on their game before I will return. The shrimp kisses were the only bright spot.
Went for dinner after coming back from vacation. Great food. We both the Chef’s Choices. They were excellent! Service was a little slow but friendly and helpful.
Waiter wasn’t that attentive. He kept forgetting about our table. Great food and lovely ambiance.
Welcome to the pandemic labor shortage. Our server was pleasant, but scrambling, slow, and unavailable. Missed important items. Food was uneven. The filet and charred octopus excellent. Entree of 6 tiny scallops disappointing. Ribeye sub par. Creme brulee partly burnt black and hidden with a strawberry. Ouch.
So great to be out and M&S out did themselves. Great attention to detail and listening to our requests. Great graduation celebration. Thank you.
Really slow service, dirty sugar packet holder, salty fries. Way too expensive for the disappointing food and service. I would never return.
service was terrible due to lack of employees returning to work-chef did not know how to cook crab legs -still frozen. Manager did her best to rectify situation but very disappointed this was suppose to be a birthday celebration.
Great place. Clam chowder and sea bass were great
waiting 20 min for appetizers, 25 min for soup then next 30 min for main dish.
This was our first time there and we were very disappointed. The server was not knowledgeable about wine, oysters, or the main courses. The food was mediocre. The ambiance was nothing special. There were electrical wires visible and the light fixtures were crooked. There was also a stain on the ceiling. You would think in a place like this attention to detail would be important? We were also celebrating both of our birthdays and the server never acknowledged it even once. Not coming back.
Excellent sea bass and whitefish entrees. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Wine selection very good but a bit too pricey for the pours.
Mixed drink (martini) watery.
Great food, awesome service and an overall good atmosphere. The only small complaint, I booked a party of 15 and assumed we would be able to sit together. However, when we arrived, we were not allowed to do so. It was not stated over the phone nor online when I booked as with most restaurants, they state, your party may be at a different table and proximity is not guaranteed if the number of people is over a certain amount. No one was in our area so it seemed rather easy to join the tables but it was not allowed. We chose the restaurant based off the accommodation of being able to sit together as a group. Any who, I would go back with a smaller party.
Went for lunch. The were only 4 tables in the entire restaurant. Service was pretty slow - no urgency whatsoever. Ordered some oysters - sub par. Tuna and Octopus apps were pretty good!
Our server Briana was very professional and on the mark when it came to service and delivery. The food was top quality, with a minor glitch in the temperature of my steak. Noting that all chefs tend to cook steaks to medium-rare because - they know better. That said, I had an 8oz filet which was excellent. Greeting, apps, drinks, dinner, service, check-out - all good. Even the bus staff was notably doing a great job. Highly recommended. Great in combination with Lowes Jazz concerts!
Had to ask the hostess to find a waiter after we were seated
The food was awful. Would never go back. The manager never came over to our table. And it was my husbands birthday and they never said anything about his birthday. I plan on telling everyone to never to go there. 😕
Given the limited number of patrons the service was quite slow. Staff seemed unfamiliar with the menu - I could only assume that the server was new
Our waiter was fantastic and very knowledgeable of the menu and steered us the right way!
Service was extremely helpful and courteous. Gave wonderful recommendations. It was beautiful inside and the booths made you feel comfortable and set up very intimately. I am already looking forward to the next visit!
Our server Diego was great.
However, the small size of the lobsters for the price was disappointing.
I hated my experience there, would never go back !
Our party of 4 enjoyed the Mother's Day 3-Course meal. All had the Romaine salad which they happily customized to our liking. I enjoyed the twin lobster tails which came with a side of lobster cream sauce over mashed potatoes. Very tasty. My husband had the sea bass with crabmeat & a side of asparagus. The fish was very good but the asparagus were a mature size & he prefers younger, thinner. My girls ordered the the filets with a side of potatoes. Both filets were served more pink than they preferred, but decided to bring center slices home rather than send back, as the service was very slow. The desserts were excellent & generous portions. 5 stars! The upside down walnut apple pie was delicious. My daughter & I each had the chocolate pie. So decadent & rich that 2 halves came home. My other daughter had the fresh fruit topped creme brûlée which was excellent. Our one complaint was that the serves was extremely slow as lunch took almost 3 hours. The waiter did apologize for the wait. We've been several times & enjoy the food. We will return.
Worst waiter I’ve ever experienced. The place was mostly empty, so they may have had two tables each, yet our drinks stayed empty, took forever to get anything, and we were there an hour and forty minutes mostly just waiting. All of our food was disappointing. I honestly could have gotten a better clam chowder and steak at Golden Corral for $12 than I got for $140 there and it would have been larger than the two bites I got. Reservation was made for a birthday and that was never mentioned. I’ve heard good things about this chain before, but was super disappointed all around.
Oh my god it was like being at an Applebee’s. If the server offered me one more signature cocktail or special appetizer I was going to lose it.
Evcellent food, reasonably priced
Food is delicious and freshly prepared. Wait staff and greeters were welcoming and very helpful. We had a great dinner and a wonderful birthday celebration!
Diego was very helpful, efficient and non intrusive but available when we needed something, food was delicious, steaks cooked to our taste, fresh spinach perfectly npreparef, fingerling potatoes delicious.
The waiter was so incompetent inattentive and basically disappeared for long periods of time- my guest and I felt we had put him out . The restaurant was quiet we ate outside perhaps he didn’t like that - no one asked if we enjoyed our food I feel we may not come back. My friend was so annoyed she left a below average tip we both are normally 25% tippers - I have been. In the service business many years and understand and expect some sort of service and totally understand if it’s very busy . My friend works for a huge company and directly across from the downtown location she is thinking of finding other seafood restaurant with friendlier staff
Everything was great!
It was my wife’s birthday, we had a great experience!
Always, good food n grwat service. Free valet parking is a plus.
