One of our favorite restaurants in Washington DC and Philadelphia.
This was a casual yet upscale restaurant. I had a variety plate that had several different shrimp, a crab cake and a filet. My wife had a plate w/medallions cooked well done yet still juice. (This is virtually impossible to pull off)
Our server AJ was great. He was able to chat w/us, provide great service while also serving two large parties.
We didn’t even realize that 2 hrs had passed.
The food, drinks and desert were wonderful. Great server and a lovely atmosphere. You’ll pay a bit more for all of this but for a special occasion it’s worth it.
We are from out of town so I can’t tell you if I had a great crab cake but I’m well versed is shrimp and steak and both were spot on.
You did a good job of accommodating 10 persons and a little child and adjusting arrangements quickly when the original room was deemed to be too tight.
The stuffed salmon was seasoned perfectly w/ mashed potatoes and string beans. The chardonnay was complimentary w/ the meal. Delicious!
The food was phenomenal. But our server was mostly absent. She didn’t come to ask how our meal was. After serving the food, the next time we saw her was to pick up our plates, when I asked for a cappuccino.
By the time I got the cappuccino, it was cold. Same with the bill. Took a long time.
I will likely go back for the food, but I will explain up front that we are in a hurry, even if we’re not, in order to get out in a reasonable time.
As always, the food was wonderful and the service was particularly good. Trene, the server, and Abdel, the Manager, were absolute stars! Will be returning at least once a week for lunch!
Food great. Tiffany was a wonderful server!
Delicious! Our waiter was amazing! Food was fantastic!
Solid service and food. The waitor was on point. Just didn't like being so close to people being loud at the bar. However, would definitely go again.
Background music was too loud.
We splurged and went to M&S for Father’s Day. For the value of price paid, it should be great! It was. The entire staff was just lovely - from hostess, our server to other servers nearby. Steaks cooked just as we ordered. Sides yummy. Dolce sangria cocktail was terrific. Desserts were very reasonably priced! So happy to see this in a town where $12-13 desserts are becoming the norm!
No valet parking, which I thought odd but we got a spot in front of the restaurant! Overall, it was a lovely evening!
Waiters seem to be nervous
Food was great and staff was very friendly.
Crab legs were cut and easy to eat with minimal mess and delicious flavor.
We have been frequent guests at McCormick & Schmick’s in both Baltimore and Bethesda. We’ve hosted a reception for over 150 guests. In those venues we were extremely pleased with the food, service and attention to detail.
Our experience tonight at 1650 K Street was absolutely HORRIBLE!
It took over an hour to receive our wine order and well over an hour and a half before our Entrees arrived. When the Entrees arrived, they were not hot. In fact my wife’s entree was barely warm. I was supposed to have had an entree with linguini but ended up with over cooked spaghetti.
There were multiple apologies and efforts to correct an absolutely horrible evening to no avail.
“Jack” who was our server had to be repeatedly asked to refill our water glasses.
When I asked for a Business Card for the evening “Manager” he deferred and instead provided me with Abdel Abaezzahra’s (the General Manager) Business Card.
McCormick & Schmick’s is capable of providing much better food and service from what we experienced tonight.
Additionally, there was no toilet paper in two of the three women’s stalls.
Great food and great experience! I recommend the rockfish imperial. Great dish for sure!
As a regular patron and Landry's Select member, I was disappointed that the host did not pay attention to the fact that we had been seen a long while with NO ONE acknowledging our presence in any way at all. I finally flagged down a young lady server, August ,who took care of us immediately making sure things went smoothly. Lunch delays are becoming a regular poor trend that does not suit the good name of your brand. What is going on ?
This staff how to make my birthday dinner an amazing one and the manager even came out to make sure everything was all right with our food and party.
Food was good, ordered soup and it showed up after the entree. Sent the soup back and still showed up on the bill. Was suggested a wine that was the worst value on the wine list, assuming they make the most on that wine because it’s bottle cost would be considerably less that what they charge for a glass. Not a terrible experience, just not what you expect for the money charged.
Great service and food
The seafood my party had was great. The waiter, Michael, who is usually the bartender was fantastic. I like my steak medium well. I trust Morton's to cook it right. Unfortunately, it was charred and not editable in the restaurant. I brought it home scraped it like toast and made steak sandwiches. A waste! I'm not a fish eater and am no longer a steak eater at McCormick and Schmick. The chef was wearing black. Was he really the chef?
Server was outstanding, scallop appetizer was really good, shrmp wrapped in bacon was overcooked. Salmon was under seasoned but cooked perfectly. Lobster was decent. Spinach was ok again needed seasoning, would be nice to offer a cream spinach.
Food was fine, service was lacking. sat at table a long time before water was served. then a long time for them to come and take order. It was lunch time on a Thursday and not real busy. Food was good.
Great restaurant I will be back again when I am in Washington dc
Great service. Servers always go out of their way to accommodate and change things as requested by the patrons. Food is always fantastic.
The service was fast and efficient. They are commended for being one of the few restaurants who acknowledged the military on Memorial Day. The food was very good as always.
Greatly appreciated the recognition of military service to this country. Freedom Isn't free. The persons attending all served in the military. We thank you for the free meal.
Horrible noise level caused by a waiter ( who was not mine)
Way over-priced for the quality of food you will get.
I had shrimp/crab-it was ok; potatoes dry, beans greasy.
Only items decent were the drinks (martini & mojito), and the dessert.
Nothing fancy for the price!
We had 16 for dinner and everything went very well. We had great service and staff very accommodating for a large group. We were able to coordinate for a "private area" so folks could celebrate and honor some very outstanding veterans. Would and have recommend McCormick & Schmick's !
Dinner with my parents coming from my home country
The meal was tasty and the service was friendly and attentive. I couldn't ask for more.
Great food and great service.
Who have always come to M&S For lunch but service was quite slow. Other tables that were sitted after me got served first, which really put a crunch to eating and going to a meeting. I was disappointed with my waiter. To top it all he forgot my crab soup!
Atmosphere was great, service was solid, food and drinks were awesome!
Overall a great place to celebrate any occasion, and have a nice dinner out.
Nice surroundings, service was good, friendly and efficient, food was excellent. Quite pricey, but look where you are so to be expected.
Everything from start to finish was awesome!
Tarik was a great server!!
Nice atmosphere with good food and decent wait staff.
The waitstaff was very attentive
Waited 10 minutes for a table and had our last name called, just for a table for two, and it was snatched by another group. I had to point out this mistake to the women at the entrance, who did not notice, and we waited another several minutes before being seated.
Excellent seafood, but we were off put by this odd entry.
The food, service and atmosphere was very good. The waitress we had was very nice. I would recommend to any one. I also enjoyed there signature chocolate desert.
