Nicole my server was fantastic. She deserves a raise. She went beyond the call of duty. I will request her when I return.

Not sure why, but after showing for my reservation and having dinner, the next day the restaurant sent a message that I was not eligible for any points. They gave no reason.
Was able to make a reservation, but when we arrived the restaurant was closed.
There was no one there, and the metal grid was down. No luck after being rained out Friday! I deferred my bonus points because I am afraid to try again.
They closed suddenly because of a storm as I arrived. I had another reservation yesterday at 6:45 PM, but no one was there and the grid was down in front of the restaurant.
Excellent service, crew knew the menu and their business. Had a traditional fish and chips. Quieter than I recall but it was not crowded and I wanted to have a meaningful business lunch. Meal was delivered promptly and was surprised that such a high quality meal and setting could be had for such value.
It was so loud we had to yell across the table to each other, and the steaks were not good. They were overcooked for what we requested and had a weird artificial smoke flavor. The roasted vegetables were bland. The grilled salmon was actually pretty yummy tho.
I had made a dinner reservation for 5:30pm through opentable. Me and my gf arrived at 5:15pm and was told that they don't open until 5:30pm. We came back around 5:35pm and had to wait for the waiter to sit us at 5:50pm and the restaurantwas clearly empty and even made few eye contacts with a few of the servers walking around in the back). According to my gf, the woman's restroom ran out of soap and had an odd odor. At a time with the COVID19 going around, you would think a restaurant would stock up on soap for their customers.
We ordered the calamari and arugula salad. Fourth of the calamari was fried veggies/jalapenos. The lobster tails were alright. We got the C.A.B NY strip with bone in at medium rare but it came closer to medium/medium well and some burnt edges. Truffle fries tasted like normal fries. Nothing too special and truffle about it. Not sure if I'll make another visit (at least at this location).
McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - Washington DC (K Street) was lovely! I went late at night right before it closed for a quiet dinner on a Wednesday night. The waiter was very attentive and helped me even figure out what kind of oysters I like! I will definitely be back.
I had the rockfish small plate with mashed potatoes mixed with cheese. It was fabulous! However, I thought it was a bit over price for the portion. This dish should be priced around $10 to $12
For very light eaters only
The waiter Kevin was very professional and helpful. The service and food was excellent for our company outing.
Great food great experience
Although the food was excellent our service was not good. Both food and bar service were not good. It took extremely long times to get our drinks, appetizers and dinner. I'm hoping we can write this off as an off night and the next time we visit M&S will be back on top of their usually excellent game.
After being seated, we waited and waited for server to bring us menus. We waited and waited for waiter to return to take our order. After order was placed we waited and waited for our food to be delivered. We had to summon the head waiter to bring the check. We have been coming the M&S for years with very good service and food experiences. This Washing DC location is a loser. wait staff was friendly to some customers and not to us. NEVER AGAIN! We won’t be back!!!
It was a birthday gathering for my son. Overall we had a great time. He loved the crafted drink and the manager did a great job with the presentation. I think it was the Aromatized & Smoked. Service was a tad bit slow, but nothing that could't be handled with great conversation. The instructions for the burger were not followed (no mushrooms and no onions) it had both and the crab cake had way too much breading in it. When eating a crab cake it should only be a small amount of crumbs to hold it together. it was more breading than crab. Those are the only two issues I heard throughout the meal.
Hospitable and attentive server, Nicole. The 3 orders came to the table within a reasonable period of time after ordering and my guests enjoyed the crab cake and trio plates.
It is recommended you request AJAY as your server - he is superb
Sat at the bar - great bartenders and service.
Poor service and mediocre food. Spend your money elsewhere.
Hasn’t been there in forever and was so excited for some good seafood. I got scallops which were good but barely warm. The decorative stuff on my plate looked like someone stick their fingers in it...looked kind of gross:(
We ended up getting Smith Island cake which was fabulous and had the most excellent cup of coffee. Our waiter was great!
On the fence about going back again but love seafood so I just might.
It was crowded and the waiters kept bumming into me. I do not recommend the grilled sixty salmon because it mediocre and the vessel on which it was served made it look unappealing. Had to request the complimentary bread before it was offered. Not going back.
Michael our server was great. We had a private booth for our party of 7 which was great. It was our daughters birthday and she invited some friends who enjoyed their meal and the restaurant.
I was surprised the menu was as limited as it was. I have been to the original in Seattle, and the menu was extensive. More choices would have been most desirable. My Chincoteague oysters weren't as fresh as they should have been, given the proximity to the source. Everything else, however, was splendid. My wife's fish was cooked to perfection, and the beef medallions I had were off the chain!
Great atmosphere, service was nice and food was okay.
Wasn’t too thrilled about this Valentines Day meal. Took us over 30 min to be seated with a reservation. The staff was not very friendly. Food was not worth the price. Overall, mediocre experience.
Waiter was very nice food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long for anything
Burnt steak, took our plates before we were even done
The food was AMAZING. The servers were REMARKABLE. No complaints at all!!
Birthday Valentine’s Day
Celebrated my sister's 55th birthday and she enjoyed it very much. Everything was OUTSTANDING!!!
Everything was perfect!!!!
The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. A special shout out to Kevin for his outstanding service and professionalism.
We had a great experience at M&S! Our server, AJ, went above and beyond with his knowledge, patience, concern, and friendliness. Our food was incredible, we truly savored every bite, but the service is what will keep us repeat guests. AJ is just exceptional! We can’t wait to see him again. At his recommendation, we had the shrimp kisses for an appetizer, followed by the crab and shrimp stuffed salmon and the swordfish topped with lump crab. Everything arrived quickly and was cooked to absolute perfection. For dessert, we had the Smith Island cake and the creme brûlée, and the creme brûlée was great, but the Smith Island cake...if you’ve never had it, DON’T SKIP IT! The whole evening was just perfect. From the moment we walked in until the time we left. I couldn’t have asked for a better restaurant for a great date night.
I was a little disappointed with my latest visit to M&S. I once frequented it more often than now. I was surprised by the quality of the food. I order spinach, stuffed (crab and shrimp) salmon and mashed potatoes. Presentation was uninviting, salmon was overcooked, spinach and potatoes were barely edible. What happened!?! Service was amiable, solicitous and helpful (I use a walker). I'd probably go again but with lower expectations.
