   I had the full Scottish breakfast, my partner had the croll with 3 fillings and children had the French toast. All were very yummy. Child particularly love the French toast as it was cinnamon French toast with banana and Nutella. Would love the pancakes to come back though! Customer service was flawless as the waiter was attentive but not intrusive and definitely service with a smile.

   At times we found the music too loud. Most people there to chat - it’s not a club. Tone the music down. Also the little light that was put on table is useless - hardly any light at all. Better with something better or candle/tea light.

   Welcome was lovely to our table, drinks were good, however food was average , friend ordered Eggs Florentine - description was creamed spinach… it wasn’t, it was wilted spinach with more watercress than spinach, I ordered Avocado on toast with crispy bacon and a Potatoe scone on the side…. Poached eggs were hard and they forgot about my Potatoe scone so it got sent back down to the kitchen by the food lift before coming to that table so I saw it happen as We were sat opposite the food lift where staff were receiving food from the kitchen but also trialling a new dish for the day … pork roast. Meanwhile the manager was so loud talking to the staff , he had an ear piece in, which is why I think he was loud 🤣 saying to all staff to come and try this new dish, all the staff gathered trying the dish on the counter our food was coming out, manger and other staff also ate French toast on the counter , as far as I could see hand washing wasn’t happening , very unprofessional especially the manager saying so loud repetitively to the staff… “this is the pork dish for today… let’s push this dish, sell it and get lt out the doors “ after our meal we were never asked for additional drinks, we had to wave to staff as they were too busy eating ! We asked for the bill which we all split , 2 by card and 1 paid cash which was more than the bill… the waitress asked “do you want your change ?” Eh yes because it was £20 extra even after a tip !! Sorry but you don’t ask… you should just bring it back ! It’s a shame because initial impressions were good Hope you can take comments on board Sarah

   Friendly, attentive waiting staff but food well below par and expensive. My gnocchi at £15 had a few mushrooms and leaves sprinkled on the top and my husband’s chicken burger was chewy with an odd- tasting sauce. For dessert, the flat apple tart was very burned around the edges and I had a pale scone which had been microwaved.

   Great, helpful staff make all the difference. Accommodated our requests for particular tables throughout the evening. Great service throughout.

   By the time we arrived the beef was finished but the roast chicken was still very nice - special mentions to the Yorkshire pudding and gravy! Unfortunately the restaurant was absolutely freezing which made it a bit uncomfortable. Other guests were also commenting on it! The service could have been improved also. It could have been great with a few small tweaks.
