Attention to the scam:
The check had nothing to do with the quality and the price announced in the menu. With 2 different ‚taxes‘, our check for 2 people, 2 glasses of wine, 2 palinkas and dessert included was € 144. the table beside, asiatic tourists, complained about the same thing. I got the feeling, that they make ‚a special check‘ for tourists.
The report quality-price is clearly, bad.
Will not recommend this restaurant

We had a lovely steak & dessert, with a great selection of wine. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was really great too!

I am so glad I booked a table for my husband & myself to dine at this restaurant. It was a fantastic find & worth every forint!
We arrived at 8PM on a Saturday night to a full restaurant, but our table was ready for us. We were sat upstairs in a cozy table, but we didn't feel cramped. The restaurant was warm inside, but that was probably due to it being -3°C outside & also due to all the diners inside. It cooled off as people started to leave.
Our waiter greeted us with a friendly face & explained the menu & the special offerings to us. He made excellent recommendations based on what we told him we were looking for. He was polite & of good humour throughout the evening. He also has an attention to detail that I wish was evident in other restaurants...such as ensuring the glasses are oriented a certain way in order to allow you to read the beverage name, & also to ensure your first glimpse of your meal is appealing to the eye. I wish I had gotten his name so I could mention him here.
The food here is of exceptional quality. My husband he had the artichoke (which he really liked) & I had the special soup of the night with venison cheek (it was delicious). For the main course, my husband chose an Omaha T-bone Steak, sold by the 100g. His was approx. 600g & was the perfect size. It was seared to perfection & practically melted in your mouth (yes, I took a few bites!). I had the Tagliatelle with mushrooms, which was also delightful. I paired my meal with a regional sauvignon blanc & my husband had a local draft lager. They were both tasty. We finished off our meal with sips of unicum. It was a perfect meal & a perfect night!
The Meat Boutique restaurant is situated just south of the Chain Bridge on the Buda side of the Danube. It is at the base of the castle surrounded by a few other nice cafes & restaurants. It is easy to reach by foot or by public transport, & is only a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of the tourist district.

Good steak, which is rare in Budapest. Very tight and too hot where we were seated in the “loft”.

I prezzi sono stati carissimi ed il cameriere ha fatto di tutto per raggirarci con le ordinazioni. Alla fine abbiamo speso duecento euro in tre per mangiare un antipasto da dividere un hamburger e una bistecca grande da dividere in due. Non abbiamo preso vino e metà della bistecca era composta da grasso e osso. Ristoratore veramente disonesto posto da evitare assolutamente.

This was a very nice restaurant. The facilities were extremely clean and inviting. Obviously a lot of thought had gone into the decor. The food was GREAT. Service was nice, and pleasant. Not overly pushy or rushed, but a nice pace.

The place to be in Budapest. Awesome food and wonderful service. We had a great time. I would recommend this place.

Ambience was good, nice restaurant, but we wait too long for the food, then the price was really too high!
one of us took a Steak for 65Euro!!! ok maibe on the menu there was the price (for Hectogram) but we can't ask for 2 Hectogram! we ask for a little steak (with around 2/3 Hectogram bone) and we pay 65Euor for it! really too much!

Wanted to leave the river cruise for a dinner out and the Meat Boutique was our choice - and it was a great decision. The food was exceptional and the service from Andrew as well. We had a variety of dishes and none disappointed. Enjoyed the view from the ‘Buda” side.

The Food was very delicius, Special the Burger. Service was also good, but I was not amuesed About the payment. At the phone they told me it is no Problem to get separate invoices. But I was a Problem, so we had to figer out who has to pay what. That was not very friendly.

Wirklich sehr gutes Essen. Die Auswahl ist nicht riesig aber absolut ausreichend, auch die Desserts sind lecker. Der Service typisch für Budapest: höflich, aber nicht wirklich kundenorientierte.

This review would have been 5 stars on all categories if it wouldn’t be for the last 5 minutes at the place. Let me explain: family of four all adults having a great time, excellent food, drinks and service. At the end we were told that AMEX is not accepted - while it is posted as accepted form of payment - and we were charged 12% extra fees for service on top of the bill which doesn’t include the tip. Server could not find an explanation for the extra 12% and even ask for another 10% tip. We paid all and left.

I was very happy about going to this restaurant because of the reviews found on Tripadvisor. The place is nice and cozy! Amazing view and amazing reception! I was a little disappointed with the food. Wine list was good. We ordered 2 goulashes and a pumpkin soup. Goulash tastes great and meat was excellent. Pumpkin soup was nothing special. Then we had duck (disappointing taste and consistency of the meat) and a Uruguayan burger (very tasty! Recommended!). I just expected a little more because the potential of this place is endless. Service was ok and check a little higher than expected but for that view it was worth!

The service fee was very expensive but they do not explain to me and my friends before order the food, and He forced me to leave a review before giving the bill.

Nice steak house, friendly knowledgeable staff. Tables are a bit close together and seems to be a meeting place for business dinners so conversations were a bit full on around us

We made lunch reservations as we got on the tram at Buda Castle — efficient & effective way to get into the queue for this busy spot. We had the venison goulash (tender!) and the cservapcsicsa, a delicious sausage with a pita-like bread. Service was a bit harried with it being a holiday. Great find in a high-traffic tourist area.

Great meat quality and taste BUT I chose the venue because it advertised as having a scenic view. Well, only if you sit outside (in the middle of winter) and 1 table inside. By the way, the table remained empty the whole time we were there but we were not allowed to take it because we were only 4 and the table sat 6. Instead, we were placed on the second (very outcasted) floor, zero ambiance or view.

Recently ate here with my boyfriend for New Years Eve. We were both extremely pleased with the great attentive service and the beautiful tasty food. There was great ambiance in the restaurant and it has lovely views over the Danube. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

In Meat Boutique I had the Beef cheeck, Duck liver with mashed potato and roasted vegetables. Dessert Coffee cheese cake. The food and service was perfect the staff was helpful and very kind. I had a perfect table in the window with a perfect view on the Dabube and the Pest side.

I orderd a burger and it was by far the best I had in a long time. The meat was first class!! For dessert I had a Flodni, it also tasted great. The restaurant has a great location, close to the castle, with a beautiful view, friendly staff. Highly recommended!
