There was no bread at all.. what kind of a valet doesn’t have bread at 3PM?
Delicious food, so very tasty. Definitely recommend
The food was great, but the service wasn’t. When we had finished, we tried to get the bill from our waiter several times. He seemed to be rushing around a lot, and had a lot to deal with, so I don’t think it’s all his fault.
We went to medicine mainly for their famous cruffins and cronuts. We had booked a table, so when we went in we saw they had a few at the front, and planned to get them after we had our brunch. However, when we went to choose, their weren’t any left! We knew then we should have bought them at the start, but didn’t realise they only made that amount and that was it. Considering it was only 1pm, it was a bit disappointing.
Overall the food was of a great standard, but we wish their were more staff, so we wouldn’t get ignored, and we wish they made more of their special cakes, so we could have tried them before lockdown! 😔
Really nice cafe with great sourdough bread and comfortable ambience. Price is reasonable and affordable, can't wait to visit again!
Amazing food with a lovely setting. Lovely atmosphere, been twice now and will be back for more.
Perrfect, as always! The food is delicious and such good value. So nice to support local businesses of really high quality. Feels like an oasis in the city and cakes are lovely too
I normally love coming to the Medicine Bakery but when we went yesterday the food took over an hour to come (it had been standing for a while so it was cold), it took ages to be seated as people pushed infront of us and the service wasn't as good as usual. It is reasonably expensive and usually I do not mind this as it is a good experience, but this time was not worth it.
Food is fantastic, great flavours and a little different to most cafe style establishments.
A lot busier than the last time I was there, just a little too busy in the current circumstances. And the service has suffered a little as a result .
But always worth a visit
Great venue. The menu is so good it's hard to pick what to eat! And the cakes - absolutely amazing! My girlfriend and I visited at lunchtime on a Saturday and the service was a little slow at times but it was nothing to put off and we're already planning our next visit!
Service here is always slow, got our breakfast before our drinks. Takes awhile to get seated and then order taken.
Absolutely brilliant .
The food was delicious. The service excellent from all members and special shout out to Luke, he was lovely & kind.
Nice food but you’d think the staff would be more attentive.
Love the Cronuts great food definitely recommend the staff were lovely...
Entrance and the staircase could be more inviting. Once you are upstairs the room is lovely and great ambiance.
Everything was greet ! Booking was smooth. Table provided immediately! Staff are always great and friendly. Food was delicious and served fairly quickly. Overall really good. Amazing bakery.
Love this place. Food excellent. My only criticism was the service was slow, and that’s not down to the staff, they were rushed off their feet. Medicine needs to employ more staff.
Great brunch menu, food was lovely! The cakes literally go like hot cakes!
Good food, nice and airy dining room. Coffee was lovely!
Food was incredible as per usual and staff are always attentive.
Lovely find and well worth a visit.
The food was fresh and delicious.
The cakes are huge and amazing!
Service slightly slow, however considering all the restrictions everyone is following I would say it was worth the wait!
We will be visiting again!
Slow service. The Covid restrictions make it unpleasant due to wearing a mask while having to queue to order cakes at the counter. Should be table service.
I am not a foodie but I really enjoyed the choice the had on the menu even for Vegans! Also loved seeing the photography work on the walls but black female photographers who are based in the UK. There needs to be more places like this!
Food was great!! Service in the restaurant was good. Food was a bit slow coming out, but it was busy so not a problem. Good value and a nice vibe. Worth a visit.
Very friendly staff and good quality food as always
Amazing!!!!!! Why haven’t I visited before?!? Food was so good and the bakery items looked delicious but I was too full to try them!
Lovely food and great service, this was my first visit but definitely won’t be my last!!
Absolutely amazing food I had the banana bread and mum had the brioche french toast with maple bacon ! No faults it was perfect ! Coffee was also lovely
Great breakfast options but too loud to have business meetings
Great brunch - the masala eggs were amazing. Different options to your standard breakfast/brunch. Lovely building with a nice buzzy atmosphere
Quirky and fun, with yummy food. Everyone left happy and full.
Delicious! Great menu, everything is home made and lovely! Would definitely recommend
Amazing food but has a total different vibe to the Codsall one. The staff aren’t as attentive which doesn’t when you can’t leave the table during these times.
Waited 10 mins for drinks 30 mins for food. No sugar offered or brought with tea and then drinks were completely finished by the time breakfast was brought out which isn’t great. Staff are willing to help once you call them over but you feel like you’re annoying them doing that. Noise level is weird, tables are so close together (during the pandemic too?!) that you can hear everything the person next to you is talking about. I had been raving about it for ages so brought my bf here for bf and we left both saying it was average: we’ll stick to the Codsall one.
Great Brunch. High recommend food and drinks and take away bakery afterwards!
Great menu options (including vegetarian and gluten free), and really delicious food in a open, bright and alternative environment.
I met a friend here for brunch after a recommendation. I had the masala eggs and the biggest americano you've ever seen! Both perfect. The staff were great and the ambience with the high ceilings was quite relaxing. We went at a quiet time so can imagine it can get quite noisy when full.
We both purchased some sweet treats on the well placed bakery counter as we left......also amazing! I'll happily return.
A shame. The food was lovely but to order the food and to receive the food was very slow and we were forgotten about on more than one occasion even to pay the bill
proper nice proper bargain aswell, the scran was heavy so will be back next weekend. Merch coffee.
Booked a table but had to wait 20 minutes for said booked table.
Had to wait to order then around 30 minutes for the order to arrive, which was coffees the coffees were cold.
The coffees were removed from the bill which was acceptable, had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill & that was only because we chose to leave & pay at the door in the end.
The cakes were perfect, just shame about the service & cold coffee.
We had booked in advance and were seated in a row on a large table with another group sitting opposite us. Because we were a group of three, this was a little awkward.
Food was a little pricey for what we got. Three of us ordered the veggie breakfast with drinks and we felt as though we can find better value elsewhere.
Nice food, busy and loud on a weekend. Missing it's usual art atm. Nice cakes to take home but pricey!!
