Medium Rare - Arlington
The French toast was to die for, the steak was unexpectedly covered in gravy that had a gritty texture. We were really there for the mimosas anyways though, so not a huge deal. Waitress was great, kept the bottles of champagne coming all through brunch.
Everything is always wonderful. They need to bottle the gravy and sell it on the side. The only issue I have is the kids charge. It should be half of what they charge for adults.
It’s was great. Excellent food and excellent service.
Great Valentine’s Day date. Food was tasty and the atmosphere was festive.
Was very overpriced for what felt like a fast casual restaurant vibe. Food was very average.
Valentines Day dinner with my wife
The steak is very tasty! Great cozy atmosphere. Would definitely go back there to eat
The brunch experience was really good. I definitely recommend
Reservation for brunch on Valentine's day. They had outdoor seating with social distancing - it was a cold winter day. Their heater wasn't that effective, hence the lower ambience rating but they were very happy to try anything to keep us happy. Excellent service from Emily and management. My wife wasn't thrilled with how the poached egg was cooked so they gave her another option (French toast = excellent) and took the other item off our check. We'll be back.
I was pleasantly surprised based on the mixed reviews. We found the service to be great and the food was very good. Steak cooked perfectly medium rare, fries hot and crispy.
Second round of steak and fries offered was just as tasty as the first. My only negative, is that the wine is very pricey for the quality and size of the pour. Overall a good dinner and would definitely return.
Food was excellent! I was disappointed that we had to wait almost 20 minutes for our 7:30 reservation though which meant we were starving by the time we sat down.
The concept for Medium Rare is from a popular French restaurant, and while they checked most of the boxes, there's some room for improvement.
First of all, we had a group of four and they brought us three slices of bread. When we asked for more, they gave us two more slices. Five divides about as well as three with a group of four - don't be so stingy with the bread!
Secondly, there are recordings of French 'lessons' in the bathroom. At first I thought they were cute, but then they got more and more sketchy. Essentially they're 'pick up lines', but they're kind of gross and could be triggering for some people. Get rid of the skeezy recordings please!
Finally, wine was okay but didn't allow us to taste before pouring glasses. Not a big deal, but added to the feeling that they were rushing us through.
On the bright side - that six layer carrot cake is totally worth the wait.
Great first time! We were extremely surprised to have a round two and it was delicious! Service was top notch as well!
Maybe it was just the timeframe, but the fruit wasn't ripe enough, the eggs were not scrambled enough, the French toast was still runny. Was very disappointed because other reviews were amazing about their experience.
Great service. Steak was super tender and fries nice and hot. Good salad ( took some dressing home), good bread and wonderful desserts.
Great staff, great food! Definitely the best steak spot !
Good, reasonably priced steaks and fries. Not fancy, but good.
One of my favorite places to eat! And very easy to stay gluten free. The service was impeccable, the steak cooked exactly to order, and the fries perfectly hot and crispy. Love this place!
A visit to Medium Rare is an experience. I went with a group of friends to brunch and the visit stood out from before seating. Medium Rare Arlington is situated in the hip and lively neighborhood of Ballston, perfect for a weekend out. The noise level inside the restaurant wasn’t noticeable, and there was a heated bubble attached to the side for more COVID conscious guests. With TVs to watch playoff football, and a highly attentive waiter that always made sure we were well off, I can’t recommend Medium Rare more. And the food quality goes without saying - best French Toast and Steak Frites I’ve ever had.
Great operation overall led by Chris Will continue to go there
Lovely date night
A friend and I visited medium rare for brunch this past Sunday. The restaurant’s brunch is bottomless with a number of different entrée choices. Excellent service, great ambience and great value make this an outstanding choice for Sunday brunch.
Medium Rare continues to be the best combination of quality and value in NOVA.
Delicious!
The service was very good for brunch! I wish they had more food options but otherwise it was good!
Excellent food, with attentive wait staff. Gladly return
Great brunch- steak is always just right
Always great food and service! A dependable treat!
They spaced everyone well for this pandemic. The staff was friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our visit. Next time we will try dessert.
Great place to eat. Recommend it to anyone that has never eaten there.
Love coming to this place
Really good but prefer the Connecticut ave location for ambiance
Always a good go-to place for brunch. It’s reliable, decent prices, and always good service. No complaints
The food was fantastic, COVID protocols made us feel safe and the service was very good even on New Years Eve with lots of diners and takeout orders.
Nice location, friendly service and good food....great value!
The best bruch atmosphere in the area, solid food and bottomless mimosa and bloody Marys are the icing on the cake
Went for brunch. Food was good, but the service was lacking. Even though the restaurant opened at 1015 and our reservation was for 1100, they were still setting up for service and take out. Waitress was not attentive and our party was one of two in the dining room.
Great concept well executed
Fantastic deal for a boozy brunch! Delicious steak and great service. I am already going back next weekend!
One of the best restaurant meals I've ever had...and I have eaten all over the world. Excellent, attentive service. I recommend this restaurant whole heartedly. NOTE: Arlington Count tax is execessive and a ripoff. Shame on them.
We enjoyed our dinner at Medium Rare Arlington and sat outside with the heaters and tent. The food, service was very good and prices reasonable. During Covid the restaurant has a limited menu.
