Megaro Eatery Ratings and Reviews
We were very satisfied with this restaurant. The food was excellent, with some vegetarian options. The pumpkin ravioli with chestnuts on a mushroom bed were delicious, as well as the goose breast. The Italian waiter was adorable. As French customers, we did not expect to eat this well in London.
This was my first time for dinner, having eaten breakfast several times in the past. I brought me wife for a romantic evening, and Karpo did not disappoint. The preparation of our food was perfect, both the duck breast and scallops were excellent. This place has a good selection of wine, that went very well with the meal. It's too bad I live 8000 miles away, or I would eat here more often. My loss is your gain. :)
We went very early on a Friday night so it was very quiet but the lighting is nice and the place has a nice feel about it. The upstairs seating area would be great as it has a huge window and you can see into Kings Cross. The wine and beer we had was nice and the starter of mussels was lovely as well as the crab and avocado roll. For main i had steak we had a burger and sides of chips and salad and spinach, It was all very nice but the creamed spinach was really too salty. That is the only things we would have changed. Overall a nice meal, great food and great service, give it a try!
Had a lovely time here but when one dish was returned as not meeting expectations, it returned back raw I.e from one extreme to another. Staff were polite about it but spoiled meal- chef may need to consider approach to feedback. Lovely location if in a rush
Great restaurant with a handy location. This is a gem which might be overlooked for the more obvious chain restaurants nearby - but STOP and take a look at Karpo. You won't be disappointed. The menu is excellent, plenty of choice, reasonable prices and friendly, professional staff.
We went for an early meal on New Years Eve. There was a set menu but options for everyone. Smoked salmon, lobster bisque, lobster Thermidor, steak. All well done. The highlight was the puddings. Fantastic. We live nearby and Karpo will become a regular destination.
Often been there for brunch, this was the first time we had been to Karpo for an evening meal. It didn't disappoint. The staff are lovely, the food (pork, steak, bouillabaisse) delicious, reasonable wine list, very central, suitable for a pre-travel meal as it's just across from St Pancras and Kings Cross.
Karpo is so handy for Kings Cross and St Pancras stations; it has a happy atmosphere and the staff are lovely. The food is always top notch; my only gripe is that they have stopped serving the all day breakfast, which was amazingly tasty and good value for money. However, our waitress said they might reinstate it as so many people have asked for it. There are other delicious dishes, so we didn't feel too deprived.
Lovely place - you can't see from the outside what's hidden behind that door on Euston Road!
Brilliant cuisine, great chefs - everything is always so well cooked. I have been to Karpo 3 times so far and was never disappointed. Wonderful attentive service as well.
Worth noting that especially the main meals are not cheap but then it's Central London, so probably normal price range - in any case definitely worth the money, the food really is creative and delicious.
I shall definitely be back!
Third time there while in London. Had the brilliant Cesar's salad (as usual), and it never fails to deliver. For the mains this time, took the burger. One of the BEST burgers ever! Simple food, yet delivered with so much class and meticulous cooking skills... This restaurant is definitely better than some of the 1-star Michelin restaurants in London. What a gem.
This is a lovely restaurant and extremely handy for St Pancras and Kings Cross stations which is what we needed. The manager and staff were really welcoming and very helpful and the food was lovely. Possibly the fish could have been a little warmer but otherwise the food was beautiful. The manager was really helpful when it came to choosing a wine to go with the food and in fact we ended up having a little tasting session which was rather nice. All in all a very nice dining experience.
