Had a midweek dinner here with friends. The service and ambience were great, but the food wasn't as good we expected. Not bad by any means, but lacked flavour and not as tasty as other Italian restaurants I've been to.
Friendly staff, great decor and ambience. Food delicious. Highly recommended and will return.
The food was really delicious, although a couple of things from the menu were not available. We both had pasta dishes and they were absolutely gorgeous.
Great place, always love coming here. Menu is really good with plenty yo choose from staff are super friendly
The service Was kind of lost
They mistake my dish
Food was not fine
Event was a cousin catch-up. Everything was great - just one misunderstanding but it took a few attempts to get it right. The staff member just didn’t get that we just wanted an extra glass, not another juice. But service was friendly and food was good
I have been eating at Megaro (Karpo) since it opened and I have never been disappointed. An interesting menu. High quality food at reasonable prices. The entrance is not prepossessing but don’t let this pit you off. Good service. Highly recommended.
Great food! I would visit this restaurant if I come to London again.
Lovely people. Very competent, very keen to please. I loved the food as well.
Just really good food, served efficiently and at reasonable prices in my view. We would definitely eat here again and 2 minutes from Kings Cross / St Pancras. Good venue.
An excellent meal in a great location. The offer of two courses and a glass of fizz was very good value.
First experience and he was good / atmosphere.
A great place for an evening out with friends when you want good food in a cheerful place but not too pricey or too stuffy. Well situated opposite King's Cross station but nice inside. Delicious but relatively straightforward food - both individual plates and for sharing.
Food was reasonable, but unfortunately the service was poor, staff were moody and not at all prompt for the bottomless brunch.
The “Frenchie” breakfast is bloody awful. Service was a joke
Great place, such friendly staff always a joy to come here! Well recommended
Friendly staff but slow service. Goo not great, but the price is good.
We enjoyed our full monty breakfasts, the food was good quality with the exception of the hash browns which tasted a bit old and dry.
Service was good, atmosphere was nice.
Lovely food, good choice of options and excellent value with the set menu. Service a bit haphazard, but very friendly and helpful. Exceeded my expectations overall.
Loved it! Good food, good service and loved the bottomless wine!
All the food was cooked fresh to order, presented nicely, we ate with a 2 course voucher with a glass of Fizz and topped it up with a glass of wine all of which was very enjoyable.
The staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
Very friendly, relaxed service. Good food specially cooked for us. No complaints.
I never write bad reviews but this is an exception. Booked this restaurant for our team event and found it embarrassing. The young waiter didn't know what he was doing, didn't seem to know what was available on the menu, kept coming over double checking instead of just listening in the first place, was totally distracted. We waited over and HOUR for bread to be put on the table to be told, from I guess the supervisor that it was their 'rush hour'! Food finally came, can't really fault the food but the ambience went out the window as we were so very hungry. Had to keep asking for cutlery because between courses they took them away, just replace them?? No sense of urgency, not professional in anyway, it felt like a chore to have them to serve us.
Unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant.
Overall: Not the best place for a bottomless brunch, probably better for evening drinks as they had music and central location.
Food: Tasty and cheap. However, small portion sizes and the food was just kinda thrown at us.
Drinks: Paid £15 for 'Unlimited Prosecco'. Not once did anyone come to fill up or drinks, the staff avoided our table and we had to call them over to refill which made it not an enjoyable experience.
Service: Not great due to asking for my 'bottomless' drink to be refilled. It was barely filled 4 times in 2 hours and then we were told we couldn't have any more drinks. The 12.5% service charge is a joke to be honest.
Ambience: Music was too loud to hear the person across from me talk and the staff were all busy chatting away at the bar making it hard to get service to our table.
The deal of 2/3 courses plus a glass of bubbles is good value. But the service was quite slow and also none of the mains on the set menu come with any sides. No one flagged this to us when ordering so the fish dish and chicken dish we ordered just came on their own.
Superb food. Excellent value: 3 courses and fizz for £21.50. Friendly, professional, helpful staff. Amazing steak tartar and seafood linguine. Generous portions and quality ingredients. Delicious desserts. The manager is brilliant. Probably the reason why the service and food is so good is because this chap is so passionate about the place. He really wanted every customer to be happy.
I recommend a visit.
Very nice food - excellent service. Will be nice when the scaffolding etc is all taken down outside - but that is nothing to do with the restaurant - just renovations happening in the street.
Best pancakes I’ve ever tasted. Nice atmosphere and a good selection of dishes for brunch.
We couldn’t get the offer we ordered but the staff waived the service fee - we were put upstairs by ourselves when there seemed to be space downstairs which meant the ambiance was poor
Really nice set up and surprisingly tranquil given the location on Euston Road. Disappointing veggie options though my meat eating friend really enjoyed hers.
Will try again in the hopes they extend the vegetarian options a bit further.
This was quite a find - a very reasonable price deal [and 2 for 1 drinks which included glasses of wine] with ample portions. The chicken and fish were good, salad well dressed and vegetables not over cooked. The beef tartare starter was delicious and enough to share as it was very rich. Not the greatest atmosphere or décor but close to Kings Cross and convenient. Sit downstairs as upstairs is a bit soulless.
Previous reviews looked good so we thought we'd give it a try. The set price menu was good value but limited however the food was delicious and the included glass of bubbly was good too. It wasn't too busy and we could hear each other speak without shouting. I'd definitely go there again.
Good risotto. Tiramisu was really nice but very watery hence only 3 stars. Went on a Tuesdays and tried to use the Meerkat 2for 1 which the restaurant didn't really honour and kept going on about a taste card. The point is it's 2 for 1 and in the end we only got desert off which isn't whatbi should be considering we purchased desert and main and should have only paid for one mains and one desert. Think that was naughty of them. Shouldn't sign up if you won't actually give 2 for 1 and then They were saying we could only do starter and main which is ridiculous. Food was nice but I prob won't go again simply due to not really honouring 2 for 1. Taking off thebxost for desert doesn't count. In the end gave up and paid
Had a fab brunch here with the girls... the staff were very attentive and friendly!
portions are big and food is freshly prepped and delicious, great value!
Had such a great time here friendly staff and good food well recommended
The food was lovely, couldn’t fault it and would highly recommend it; what I wouldn’t recommend is the service. Although the waitress was very attentive, when we arrived we told her that we had a voucher ‘tastecard’, the waitress said that we were mistaken and then subsequently tried to convience us otherwise right until I had to ask for the bill twice and continued to challenge the final amount until it was correct.
My salad was memorably delicious and a big portion. The risotto was also delicious!
I would not recommend this place at all, firstly, it’s situated between Barclays Bank and Burger King so don’t let the fancy pictures fool you - it is not the cool vibe place it pretends to be. The food was really basic and cold despite of taking ages to bring. The place was almost empty and the tuff kept coming over to our table which is fine - probably better than not coming at all- but when the waitress asked my friend if she is done with her coffee when clearly half of her cup wa still fool we started raising our eyebrows. It wasn’t particularly disastrous but for the money you pay you can go to a really nice cool place like Caravan or German Gymnasium and have a really nice WARM brunch in a nice atmosphere.
