Excellent £38 offer the 3 of us had almost all the starters between us and enjoyed the mains. The cocktail was lovely then we paid extra for a pudding.
Amazing food and service. We took the tasting menu which was delicious. Only advice is if you do take the tasting menu then don’t go for the pecking duck in addition as there was simply too much food. However the duck was fantastic.
The Peking duck and noodles were sensational. However the waiters stand was about three feet from the table facing our table and at almost all times there were two or three waiters there talking and punching the order board. It was like having them at the table. Another stand was bothering customers similarly about three tables away. I had to ask to have wine glasses filled three times. Summary—great food and bad management.
A great 5 star addition to the tower hill area of London. This will help to lift the quality quotient of the area. The whole Four Seasons ambience will transform a previously workman-like and unglamorous part of the City. The wholesale upgrade and the fast pace of transformation of the neighbourhood will give us wider choices of places to eat, stay and enjoy!
Excellent food served well in a room of great presence, with an outstanding design intervention. Expensive, but worth it.
My only complain is that the music seemed a bit ‘pop’ and random. Clearly an afterthought. This place deserves a more thoughtful soundtrack.
Great food and wine on a Saturday night in London. Chef kindly made a special dim sum platter on request which was delicious. Look forward to coming back.
We preferred the Japanese sushi than the Peking Duck. Was not happy when I saw roots of feathers on the duck skin when I was paying 80+gbp for the whole duck! The second serving of the duck which came with crispy noodles was too salty for me. We wont be ordering the duck again for sure. We liked the soft shell crab and the spicy tuna sushi we had. Not the most authentic but flavoursome and it suited our taste buds. Furthermore, the ambiance of the restaurant at the lovely Four Seasons and the proximity to home means we will likely visit the restaurant again, if only for the sushi.
Enjoyed the evening but despite x2 email reminders from the restaurant that we were having the early evening menu (which is what had been booked) we were given the full a la carte menu. Annoying. Also service in the bar area of Four Seasons was non existent.
Average food in a nice setting with a high price tag
Great venue, exceptional service, and great cocktails. Food was nice - similar to Hakkasan.
I came to the restaurant quite late 9:45 and it was my first time here. Decoration of the restaurant and hotel is very beautiful , great aumbiance, friendly service and outstanding food. Thank you so much to all team to make my dinner unforgettable. Definitely I will back and recommend to everybody who love Asian food.
This could turn out to be a vibrant catalyst to lift the dreary Tower Hill area, from hackneyed barrow boys “beer and pint dives” to Asian fusion cuisine and fine dining
Not hugely impressed with weekday lunch. Much better experience at the French restaurant opposite. Food was ok nothing really stood out for me. I felt the wasabi prawns were a bit bland. Service was polite but not hugely attentive. Long wait for main course. Sharing cocktail was nice. Overpriced for what it is. Disappointed.
Cena con amigos de mi hijo que estudia en Londres
Simply amazing experience. The service was outstanding thanks Ken. We opted for the Tasting Menu and we were not disappointed. The flavours were amazing and the tasty dishes just kept on coming.
Highly recommend the place.
I would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was very good.
Excellence in sushi and service.
We had the Mei Ume tasting experience, bought on time out, and it was fantastic! Every course was delicious, and the portions were the perfect size to leave one sated but not uncomfortable at the end. The service was attentive and helpful without being obsequious, all round this was a fantastic lunch. would recommend.
Booked earlier in the day, on a recommendation from a colleague. The restaurant is beautiful and service was great, but the options for the set meal were a bit pedestrian, and the Lychee Martini is an acquired taste. The other cocktail we tried was phenomenal though. May be worth a try for a la Carte for a special occasion
Excellent food in a lovely setting. Great service too. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful experience at Mei Ume, the food was exquisite and the service impeccable. Highly recommended!
Good service and food, however quite overpriced especially as the portions were not particularly big
Expensive and the stone pots overcooked the food - sushi was good
Outstanding experience in Mei ume. Supper professional sevice by all the staffs. I booked my Chinese new year dinner in Mei Ume.
A fantastic restaurant - great setting, excellent & attentive staff and a really good and varied menu. Not one for every day but certainly worth a visit (and for me a repeat visit).
We booked the Time Out tasting menu offer at £35 per head including a cocktail. The food was beautifully presented and of a very high standard but I would not have paid the full price of £99 per head especially as we didn't receive the full tasting menu but a modified version. Service was attentive and friendly and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Very unusual yuzu cocktail that we both loved!
Amazing food, I loved everything. Will def coming back
The food and service is perfect but the atmosphere is dreadful.
Non really special. It is a very standard restaurant.
Great food (except for anoverly expensive copy of blackened cod which was a tad underwhelming).
Tremendous building/restaurant- as you would expect from a four seasons.
The lobster was sublime. The most amazing Chinese I have ever eaten.
Absolutely delicous Japanese and Chinese mix. Makis are so fresh and innovative (one was rolled wit specks of Parmigiano on top). The wine was also good and different from the usual choice. The other high point of Mei Ume is the decor, with its marvelous ceilings and architecture, in line with the rest of this somptuous 4 Seasons hotel on Trinity Square. I only put 3 stars for ambiance as we were one of only 2 tables that Wednesday evening of mid January. The architecture makes the ambiance, though - as well as the waiter, who was discreetly present to fill any of our needs. I recommend. Will certainly go again myself.
Why aren't more people going?! The January 2018 deal is excellent - £29 evening deal at a high class Pan Asian Restaurant in the beautiful and subtle Four Seasons Hotel at Tower Hill - I dare you to beat the beautiful building (exterior and interior), the ambience and the staff. The deal is only available if you are seated 6.30-7pm Mon-Sat and only lasts for a few more weeks. Try it! You'd be mad not to!
Great décor in the superb Four Seasons hotel. Pre-dinner cocktails in the Rotunda bar were expensive, but superb.
Food is of a very high standard and, having been to Japan and China, very authentic. Sushi/Sashimi looked and tasted very fresh and vibrant and the dim sum was some of the best we've had. The main courses on the tasting menu were lovely, but a bit safe. The matching wines/sake went very well.
The ambience and service were very welcoming, with the background music loud enough to drown out the next table, but not so loud you couldn't speak normally to each other.
Overall, this was an excellent eating experience and one I would recommend.
Outstanding quality of food and drinks.
Service was simply the best. Great wine recommandation as well. Michelin star standards. I strongly recommend the chocolate desert with sesame ice cream.
The restaurant was amazing. The food was superb. The staff very attentive & friendly. The decor was exquisite. Highly recommend it.
Very creative cuisine ! Friendly and professional service ! Overall, a wonderful experience.
Amazing food. One of the best sashimi I have ever had. Highly recommend
