Pretty average Italian restaurant, as an Italian I can easily judge that. Nice location next to the river walk and overall friendly staff, but not a place I would eat at again.
Staff were so lovely and the food was amazingly tasty. Will definitely be re visiting
Wonderful service. Excellent food & even a side salad made to order!
Excellent meal and friendly service. Will definitely eat here again
Authentic Italian, very good pizza. We recommend for an informal lunch or dinner with friends or family.
Delicious food and kind service. This was our second visit and we will be back!
Good service and good food!!!
They have the best gluten free pizza I have ever eaten!!!
couldn’t eat the main (salty, swimming in butter) sent back but still charged on bill.
kindly offered dessert but would have expected the main, they wasn’t touched, to be removed from bill.
didn’t check on service throughout meal
we enjoyed our evening very much the food and service were excellent and the ambiance was perfect.
Special treatment, nice quality of food
Expensive wine but overall good food and service
My favorite restaurant in London. Incredible service and the food is outstanding.
Authentic Italian cuisine, with great service! Highly recommend the tagliatelle with truffle oil and sausage!! Highly recommend!
Group of 10 - service was quick (and all at the same time) and very good food! Would recommend. Reasonable prices.
Authentic Italian food and atmosphere. Some things seemed slightly pricey (like the ice-cream) but the mains were reasonable. Not huge vegetarian choice but I was happy with what was on offer.
Well, we had a dinner there just another day. And the restaurant definitely felt cosy. Service was polite and speedy. However, I quickly spotted a big issue with their menu - they failed to state ingredients correctly, thus, as a lactose intolerant and veggie, when ordering pasta with mushrooms, I was not please to find out it contained cream. The rest was fine. Their wine by glass is yummy.
I celebrated my 21st birthday here and the service was exceptional. The staff and customers were very welcoming and I would recommend the restaurant to others.
This restaurant was fantastic, the food was lovely very authentic Italian food not too fussy which I love, the wine was lovely and the service was exceptional such a friendly waitress, made us very welcome. We were celebrating my husband birthday she gave us a sharing tiramisu for free. This restaurant made me feel I was in Italy, not London!!!
Lovely food and friendly staff, new favourite local spot for a casual supper
Another excellent evening at Melanzana. Made to feel welcome upon arrival. Very friendly service and excellent food. Has real feel of Italy.
Delightful sea food starter. Best pizza we’ve had in the UK.
A bit dark and noisy at our table right next to the refrigerator, and generally very warm in the restaurant but otherwise very good ambience. Nice and friendly staf.
Thank you very much for your valuable review, we are looking forward to see you again at Melanzana
Very delicious food. I came here with 4 friends and all of us were happy with the friendly service and the exeptionally tasty food.
Lonely food and experience.
Best pizza I ever had in London!
We promise you to go even higher, thanks for the nice words, looking forward to see you again soon.
Really nice welcome, good service and great food. Went twice in a week and the restaurant more than met expectations. Has a feel of a real Italian place.
Really enjoyed having you at Melanzana, thanks for the nice words. looking forward to see you again soon.
We have been there because from website the food seems nice, I arrived there the place was empty, the manager was unfriendly , frittura mista taste like from frozen and over priced, a small glass of white vine charged at 7,50£, the ambience was very “squallido”
Good food, but quite a noisy environment, not helped by a large party. But to be fair, the staff did move us to a quieter location without prompting.
Will visit again.
A small family run Italian restaurant. The food and service was excellent and we had a really enjoyable meal.
Friendly staff, lovely food quality authentic Italian home style cooking. Desserts were amazingly delicious.
Good value for price in a buzzing setting. Always again.
Good, straightforward Italian food. Very nice environment and friendly staff.
Visited for the first time this week and we will definitely be back! We booked a table for six with two of them being toddlers, and everyone from the kids to be grandparents were pleased with their meal. At our table we had focaccia, minestrone, lasagna and a pizza. It all tasted fresh and arrived quickly. The best part was the amazing waitress we had. She was so good with our little boys and made them feel so special!
Good food, value for money, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant service.
We have been coming here for a few years now and the food and service is always fantastic.
Great food and service as always! A neighbourhood gem. Only suggestion would be to get rid of the music, unnecessary especially on a busy night.
Absolutely fantastic find! Recommended to us whilst we were visiting the area. Service couldn’t have been better, the food was outstanding, and the house wine was very drinkable. The whole place felt very authentic and run with love. We will be back!
Needed several seats and pizza at the very last moment on a Saturday evening, and this was among the very few available. At least for an Italian palate, there is huge margin for improvement as the pizza was not crunchy and hard to digest for some of us (maybe not cooked enough), and one alternative main course (tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms) too creamy. The hand made tiramisu is definitely better, and the service proactively responsive and warm.
Food was great and very generously portioned.
Restaurant was popular without being overly busy. The staff are very friendly and make an effort.
All in all, a great dinner. Would definitely recommend.
One of my favourite restaurants in Battersea. Really lovely staff and the food is superb!
