Amazing menu, very friendly staff
Food was a bit basic, but the offer we had was good.
The service was great, the energy was great. The restaurant was busy, but it still felt safe and comfortable.
Would definitely come back again.
I can still taste the lobster. The burrata was amazing and the sweet glazed broccoli. I’ll be back. Grazie a tutti
Great service & good value
Great food and refined plates
Incredible value for money considering 3 course and a glass of prosecco were £20 in soho. Michelin recommended for a fraction of the price. All the staff are lovely and super attentive
One of my favourites in london
We had a wonderful evening at Mele E Pere. The food was delicious and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we needed. We were greeted with a glass of Prosecco for our anniversary too which was a lovely touch. Definitely recommend the goats cheese ice cream! We’ll definitely be back!
Went for the 3 course set meal at £20. Good quality food, nothing outstanding but tasty and good portion size and hence good value. The pecorino cheese included in the set meal option was a nice touch.
Ambience was good, music not too loud so easy to converse.
Food quality was good but everything was so unpleasantly salty - the calamari, tagliatelle and gnudi. Spoke to some friends after who had been before and they also said it was the same when they went.
Great value set course menu, nice ambience too- thanks!
This is my fourth visit to Mele e Pere and each time, it seems to get better and better! We were celebrating a birthday, so I chose the brilliant 3 course set menu with a glass of bubbles. All courses were delicious and we were offered a free drink on the house as it was for a birthday which was such a treat and much appreciated.
Social distancing and hygiene were taken seriously and me and my friend felt very comfortable with our dining experience during these weird times.
All in all, it was a great lunch and I will be finding another excuse to eat here soon!
What a nice surprise in the heart of Soho! We had a delicious meal on a cold Friday night, the service was impeccable and the food really fresh and tasty! The Vermouth bar was fun, we discovered a few new ones before dining. Despite the street level bar being empty, there was a nice ambiance in the restaurant downstairs which was nearly at capacity. Grazie mille!
Good food, atmosphere and value in central London.
Very good evening as always here. But the set menu and a la carte offered a wide choice of excellent Italian food which was well presented. Wine list has choices to suit all pockets. Highly recommended
We had a pre-theatre meal both from the set menu. We liked the basement decor and ambience. Service was good - quick and friendly. Menu is a little limited but I think it preferable to offer fewer really good quality dishes, and that seems to be what they do. Our food was lovely. The dishes were relatively simple traditional Italien staples but very well executed and quality of ingredients shone through. Good sized portions too! Prices are very reasonable and you cannot fault the restaurant on value for money. Overall an impressive first experience.
Delicious food, really good prices for authentic Italian food
We have been to Mele and Pere for a pre-theatre dinner - service was really efficient, the food was served rapidly and the tiramisu, excellent! Definitely recommend it for this kind of occasion!
Early evening visit to Mele e Pere to meet a friend. Fairly quiet at 5:15pm, but very busy by the time we left at 6:50. Food and service were both to the usual high standards, and the three course set menu with a glass of bubbles is simply amazing value. As always, highly recommended.
My go-to Italian in Soho - the set menu is great value and the food is delicious and authentic. There is always a great vibe there - and not too loud. Would definitely recommend!
Great starters very good indeed. Below average service from staff. 15 mins sat down until we could catch anyone’s attention. Truffle pasta definitely not a good choice! Very watery without flavour and floating congealed oil. Ragu better! Good portions. Stick with your starters and try to go with the slow service and you’ll be ok!
Great service and value for money
Family came into town and the lady be Italian as was going to theatre did a quick search and this popped up. Never noticed b4 nor would have just walked in due to its street presence BUT what a gem.
Extremely good food and excellent service. Portions are generous.
I really enjoyed my dinner here. The food was adequate. Good value. the only complaint I have is that the restaurant is very vibrant - for some may be too noisy. So it depends on if you like places with the load atmosphere or not. The service was good and the servers were attentive. Overall happy with my dinner here, would come again
Artisan style restaurant and fresh pasta. Felt ‘real’ and not touristy. Lovely friendly staff and cosy atmosphere downstairs. Would recommend.
I'm a big fan of their Pre Theatre Menu. It's tasty, seasonal, fresh, reasonably priced and quickly served. A great option to try a new dish at every visit.
Went with our in-laws and had a super evening al together..
Very efficient staff , friendly and polite..
Very accommodating as we asked to change something from the menu at no bother at all.
A really nice place with young, eager and helpful staff.
The place is a bit loud, but we had a nice table tucked in a corner. the only drawback was the loudspeaker above.
Would definitely go back
Nice friendly service. Thanks to our waiter/reception front desk for a nice experience. Good value for money. Quality food. Would recommend 😊
Booked a quiet time on Saturday afternoon but was still quite busy
Went for set price plus bubbles as booked via opentable but we needed to ask for this menu
All food was good quality, well cooked & presented, albeit limited choice which is understandable
Well worth a return visit as its a solid, community Italian
service was good, busy and noisy as expected but food excellent and great value for money. definitely coming back
A great lunchtime spot for a group to meet as it was quiet and no time pressure. A bit expensive for what it is.
once again Male E Pere didn't disappoint. this very inconspicuous trattoria bubbles underground, hidden on Brewer street. The food was sensational with a very creamy and delicious Burratta topping the Bruschetta loaded with sweet tomato. the T bone was well cooked and soft, but you could certainly do with more chips!
All sensational for a very modest price.
Had the set menu , three courses and glass of bubbly for £20. Excellent value and excellent food. Good service and nice restaurant, not too noisy for a catch up with friends. Would definitely go back
Will definitely return. Really good all round.
My friends all enjoyed too.
Salame e gnocchi starter was especially delicious, and the whole set-menu-with-prosecco deal was a great value
Set menu is great value. Staff are brilliant. Thank you!
Restaurant and food disappointing. pear in beetroot salad hard ...both small pieces! Ambience more a cafe than restaurant.
I’ve tried their pre-theatre menu with 2 courses tonight for the first time. The vegetarian main course -orecchiette- was really good but nothing special about the tiramisu.
Overpriced generic Soho joint
enjoyed the lunch special! the pasta was very well seasoned and al dente!
