Food was really good as well as service! The ambient was a bit loud in the conservatory, thought possibly affected primarily by the fact that the windows were closed due to the rainy weather. Overall though nice experience, would definitely recommend!
Great restaurant, friendly staff, fabulous food, amazing view... it was a bit cold in the dining room but other than that we had a really good time and enjoyed our evening. The restaurant did prepare a little surprise for my friend's birthday at the end of dinner which was very thoughtful!
We booked in for a 10.15pm dinner after a show, as we were staying at the hotel. The food and drinks were excellent. The loud clanking of cutlery being put away, the bar being closed up and generally feeling like we were in the way as they wanted to leave wasn’t great. I appreciate we were a late sitting, but don’t offer that if the experience isn’t going to be great.
The food and the service were outstanding. A creative and beautifully executed menu, the food was beyond delicious. The roof terrace is a rare outdoor dining space in London that despite its location was not overrun by noisy office workers who tend to ruin the ambience of most restaurants in this part of town. The service was excellent and non-obtrusive. In short, one of the best meals I have had in London in a long time!
A truly wonderful addition to the City. The food is delicious, a small, but good menu and the roof terrace is just lovely.
Lovely roof terrace bar and restaurant. This was my 2nd visit and just as good. Nice food and good selection.
Great venue if like us the sun was shining. Limited menu but you will find something to delight your taste buds.
I would recommend an earlier sitting like us 6.30 gives you chance to soak up the sun , warmth and views before it becomes to cool.
Thoroughly recommend if your looking for something a little more exclusive and peaceful to enjoy your evening.
First time at this venue and it is ideal for a warm summer evening. Welsh rabbit was a great take on welsh rarebit as the cheese element contained rabbit. Delicious. Grilled squid was soft and succulent. For lamb double chop, I was expecting Barnsley chop but it was a very tasty and well presented rack of lamb. The skate wing was thick and juicy. Peach crumble for 2 was a generous portion and excellent.
All in all a very good experience which I will repeat.
Very good service ,the roof top was so beautiful view special in thAt perfect weather .food very delicious
Lovely setting, the planting and design is very clever. Enjoy looking at all the buildings from this level, not too high. We had great food and freaky weather, the team up there coped really well! Even moving us to a different table in mid main course when the heavens opened! All done with the minimum fuss with care and detail, plus a bit of a laugh!
Loved the food, service, rooftop setting - definitely going back!
Seated promptly but had to wait an extraordinarily long time just to get tap water, not to mention giving our drink and food orders. Service improved with food delivery. I think it took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table after being seated. Food was decent.
Great restaurant on such a lovely sunny evening. Great views and wasn’t too busy. Shame there’s isn’t a bar. Food was nice with a good choice. Have booked to go again already!
It was just perfect
We ate outside as it was a warm evening but glad when the overhead heating came on. The food and service were excellent and we really enjoyed our evening.
Super nice setting, attentive staff and nice food. A very pleasant and comfortable experience.
What a lovely hidden gem!
I actually can’t wait to come back. Food was really good, service excellent and the vibe right up my street.
Tranquil and calm setting (Saturday lunch). Service and attention was faultless.
Very good choice, attentive staff, and enjoyable food catering for a wide range of tastes.
A problem with the dessert was skilfully handled without fuss.
Really good food e.g. scallops (bit too much butter) & we ordered another round of their Guinness bread!! The tuna could do with a bit more searing but it's a perfect summer salad in the sun!
A friend arrived late - we weren't sure she would make it - but the staff were able to move us from the small, shady table to a reasonably shaded larger one quickly and efficiently!
The views to The Shard or The Vase (Blackfriars/Southbank) are great but the immediate area is a bit too tall..........
Sensational secluded sun terrace with stunning views over London. Delicious skate wing with spring vegetables that looked like a rainbow on the plate. Impeccable service which ensured an easy relaxed lunch. Great place to impress a client.
Lovely venue and view
Lovely setting, food was good but it stops there.
Service wasn’t great regarding changing by side for another alternative. Unfortunately this was not allowed. The Restuarant needs to get with the times and understand that not all customers want fries with there main meal and should get some alternative options.
Also it was a very rushed service and it seemed they wanted everyone out the restuarant so they could close. We had only just sat down and they asked us to order ASAP before the kitchen closed.
It’s a shame it’s a nice venue but much improvement needed for the prices they’re charging.
Much better roof top venues around where you’re treated better, I wouldn’t rush back.
excellent all around, yummy food, friendly service - cute waiters 😉 and the venue, superb ❤️
Great food, great service, great view. What else is there to say?! Thank you!
Great location but not very happy worth service:
- no butter knives
- we ordered gluten free bread, never arrived
- served wrong cocktail
- wanted order more wine, waiter said that wine menu got lost
Not really satisfying
Overall a very nice rooftop terrace with amazing views and lovely’s service, lots of potential. The food was delicious but portions for value for money were tiny and not worth it. Did not like all the wines - again not good value for money. Cocktails not amazing. Also had disruptive drunk city boys interrupting diners. But overall nice chilled out place for summer nights.
Very nice atmosphere and really good food!
Beautiful setting, lovely food. Set menu was excellent value for the standard of restaurant.
The only disappointment was we were celebrating a special birthday which I advised them and although I wasn’t looking for anything free a little happy birthday on the pudding dish would have been a real touch.
My personal assistant enjoyed a fabulous dinner at your restaurant this week. Food/Service/Ambience were all excellent. Quite pricey however, worth it!
Beautiful roof terrace, with lovely furnishings and plants, nice views but fairly small in size so felt exclusive not busy or crowded. Great to have option to eat inside on roof but still have the lovely views and light while staying warm. Service was brilliant, food was all good though disappointed with the number of items on the menu that were not available (oysters, scallops, halibut all not available). Steak was lovely though nothing served with it except half an onion so became expensive main when needed sides too. Octopus was also a little on the small side as a main for my partner - just one octopus tentacle on mash.
Overall, a pricey evening but felt a special place for a special occasion, so definitely recommend.
Great outdoor seating, great service, and terrific food.
Very nice setting and food presented very attractively. With deal was good value. Only issue was the conservatory does get very hot with the sun
Food was good and well presented for the starter and desserts, but the mains were not to the same standard. Fish was full of bones and this was explained that rather than fillet it, they preferred to leave it to the customer to remove the bones. We also had a rack of lamb for 2 and another fish dish which was fine, but nothing fantastic. Would return but would think about different main courses. Service and ambience are very nice. Price is OK for London. We had a few drinks and a bottle of wine and cake to £360 for 4 people.
Great dinning at the roof terrace, overlooking the Shard and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Terrible, a real disappointment considering the location and the service. £200 for a really bad meal. The fillet stakes did not taste great and were cooked terrible - very dry, like if they were deep fried. The chocolate mouse with stout was one of the weirdest things I've tried in a long time. Maybe the head chef was off that night, but for that kind of money you would expect a really good dinning experience.
Stumbled upon this lovely restaurant and tried it out with my wife on her birthday. Loved the ambience and the friendly service. Food was excellent as well.
On arrival to the restaurant, we were greeted by very friendly staff. The (what appeared to be) manager, took my coat and bags, to put in the cupboard (I had a lot of stuff) and me and my friend felt somewhat awkward standing and not knowing where to wait or whether to wait, whilst other staff also stood there (suggest that whilst one staff puts the coats away, the other shows guests to the table).
The ambience was lovely - beautiful setting with super comfortable chairs. We quickly got our menus and ordered our drinks. I ordered a cocktail which had a unique yet lovely taste (the Ocho). The Asparagus and crab mayonnaise were both lovely for starters - I would recommend them.
The mains took a while to arrive to our table. I had the cod fillet for mains and my friend had the halibut. The halibut was lovely however, the cod fillet was salty (granted I did not notify the waiter).
We didn't hesitate to order dessert and went for the chocolate mousse and burnt cream - this took a bit too long to come but we weren't disappointed with our choices and the presentation of both were lovely
Overall, we had a great experience however, do think that service could be improved in terms of speed.
I would (and already have) recommend this place to friends/family.
Amazing location, food sublime. Service was excellent.
We had a brilliant birthday lunch here. As it is in the heart of the 'City' it tends to be quieter at weekends than during the week. We had a great view and the service was excellent.
