We had such a lovely time. The food and cocktails are amazing. My wife is gluten free and they looked after her so well without any prompting! We felt so welcome. Would highly recommend! Thank you for making her birthday very special.

Amazing views and good service but the food fell short. The omelet starter was very good but the spring vegetables "en papillote" were bland and the salt baked kohlrabi had too much salt. Perhaps the meat and fish dishes are better but we didn't try them.

I have had the privilege to have eaten in some of the best hotels and restaurants globally and the V&M ranks very highly towards the top.
The food was well prepared and amazing. It wasn't to over complicated as you find nowadays but full of flavour. We had the fish and the steak both of which were cooked to perfection. The service was great and not to stuffy or overpowering and the ambience in the Roof top Terrace was comfortable. Due to the weather we were inside and with the number of covers the space was not over crammed together. The veiws across London are great and will be even better on a summers day.
Also try the DND bar in the basement, again being new it is undiscoverd and a great find for London. If you like comfortable discreet places ( based ona Prohibition theme) where you can talk without overbearing music in the background then go here. I'd recommend the Whiskey Sours!

Roof Terrace restaurant with great service, very good wine pairing suggestions and overall the service was great. Food was good, but no OMG effect. I would recommend to go for fish courses rather than meat.

Great terrace for a sunny evening like the one we had.
Service was very slow as they were very busy for a Tuesday night and presumably understaffed with four people front of house run ragged.
Food was good, not excellent.
Bread was very good.
Their Croquette was very good - nice flavour and crispy.
Fish for main course had been sitting on the parse under heater lamps for far too long to be very good. Asparagus was nothing to write home about.

Nice restaurant, good food and service

Lots on the menu to choose from would have given it a 5 if it wasn’t for the triple cooked chips which needs some attention.
Shared rack of lamb was delicious and beautifully cooked/presented.
Thank you for a nice evening

Overall a very good experience. Waiters were very friendly, Cod cheeks were great, ribeye fantastic, pork cutlet a bit dry and flavourless. We received 25% off, I don't think I would return and pay full price.

We weren’t sure what to expect but everything about this restaurant was excellent- warm and welcoming staff. The food was fantastic- an absolute delight! Even though outdoor roof terrace was closed due to weather the views still great and ambiance lovely- we’d definitely come back and recommend to family and friends!!

We visited on a busy night with a full restaurant and bar. The atmosphere was vibrant and the staff were very pleasant and helpful however, the service a little slow on the night.
The prices are substantial and we expected high quality food. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations and was pretty ordinary ‘pub grub standard’. The food looked better than it tasted and I expected much more for the price paid.
A 12.5% service charge was automatically added to the bill, even though we were only a party of 2. This seems to be standard these days in london but I don't approve of this method and it is embarrassing to ask for it to be removed. I certainly don't object to paying for good service but I believe it should be a choice, and I prefer to give it directly to the server.
I would go here again for a drink in the bar for the atmosphere, but definitely not for food.

We had a terrific evening, the restaurant is really amazing. The food came beautifully presented, simple, colourful and interesting dishes that were very well executed. I could eat those scallops all day long. We really enjoyed the food. The service was helpful, unobtrusive and at just the right pace, not rushing us when we were talking and food came out promptly. Simply great.

The roof terrace is a superb setting looking in one direction to St Paul’s and the other to the Shard. The service was very good and the food was a higher quality than we expected Go for the beef Tartare, the lobster and the halibut you will not be disappointed. With the 25% discount on the food and drink this is very good value for a top quality City restaurant

Lovely views from the roof top terrace. We watched the sun go down, wrapped in cozy blankets, and then when it got chilly we moved in to the main restaurant for dinner. Very nice cocktails and food (including Dorset snails!)
I can imagine this being very busy in summer

Really nice atmosphere - nicely quiet but not so quiet it's eerie - and that was even when most tables were occupied.

Food was fantastic for the majority. Would thoroughly recommend the chicken and/or fish pie. Lacking a bit for the veggie amongst us, though. They were left a bit disappointed with very few options.

Mains portions were decent but desert portions could be a bit more hearty -, apple crumble was delicious but simply not enough of it. Water is far too expensive (£4.50 per bottle i believe?) but that bread was incredible - Guinness bread was one of the best I've had

Service could be slightly better on the tail-end of the service, but that's being very picky and we were in a rush at the end.

Overall thoroughly enjoyable and would definitely recommend, just a few pointers to improve

The service was friendly, location great, atmosphere and views lovely. The food was very nice. Service is quite slow, having a jug of tap water on the table would have been preferable to waiting for service. The food was lovely, though the mixed salad could have had a couple more ingredients in it. But overall, lovely.

A new restaurant on the roof of this new hotel. Lovely space with a bar and restaurant as well as an outside terrace. Had an early dinner and ended up staying until closing time. This is an indication of the very welcoming and friendly service of all the staff, particularly Gosia (I think that's right) who takes such a pride in her work place and in providing great service. The food was good with a nice choice of meat, fish and vegetarian meals. The wine list is very sensible with choice and not OTT prices. A great find that will be very popular in summer, unfortunately for those of us that have already found it.

Food was really lovely and well presented. Service was ok, given it was pretty empty it was a little frustrating that our sides were forgotten, and arrived as we were finishing our mains. Lovely venue though and am sure it will be great once teething problems are ironed out.

On arrival, we had a choice of tables. The first table was by the door but we was appropriately moved once a table was free. The waiter was super helpful and understood what we wanted. The manager was helpful and friendly too! The ambience was really good - not too loud, spacious and easy to see the views of St. Paul’s from our table. The food came in amazing portions and was really good. It was my friend’s first time having snails and she loved it! We also had a scallop to share which was really good too. The mains were lovely, COD fillet and half a lobster! Very pretty dishes and suitable for instagram lovers like myself. The cocktail menu is sweet but luckily, the bartender made something to our liking which we thoroughly enjoyed. The desserts were nice - a chocolate mouse with stout served in a pint glass and the blood orange posset was tasty but simple. Overall, we would definitely go back for another catch up dinner date!!

The restaurant is in a beautiful setting that will be very special in the summer. Drinks were excellent as was the service. My husband had cod cheeks to start and halibut for main which he really enjoyed and would give the food 4 stars, I had a rib cutlet which at £46 I was expecting to be exceptional. It was okay but not amazing. The chips on the side were the best ever and the smoked potato purée was also amazing! Definitely would go back for the sides! In all a good experience but for the price I expected a little more.

Lovely setting for dinner, probably very nice when weather permits use of outside terrace

Wine list has something for all budgets though surprisingly for a restaurant that is just opened, the wine we chose was not available. Not sure how that can happen after three weeks !

Starter selection was good and generously sized ( apart from the Steak Tartare which is a joke - see below), Mains again, good options, priced on the high side but taste of the pork chop somewhat made up for it.

Sides were nice and really tasty !

However, one serious negative, my partner fancied the steak tartare as mains and the only option was to double up on the starter version. At £32 not cheap, but hey might be worth it. Obviously at that price, expectations were high. To our surprise the smallest ever portion we ever seen in London showed up, honestly I'd have felt ripped off if that was the starter for £16. And not even accompanied by chips or anything.

Will we be back? Doubtful, value offering is just not there at the moment - for total bill at around £170 I would have expected more. Thanks to Sergio for looking after us that evening - he made up for the lack of value!
