It was just perfect
We ate outside as it was a warm evening but glad when the overhead heating came on. The food and service were excellent and we really enjoyed our evening.
Super nice setting, attentive staff and nice food. A very pleasant and comfortable experience.
What a lovely hidden gem!
I actually can’t wait to come back. Food was really good, service excellent and the vibe right up my street.
Tranquil and calm setting (Saturday lunch). Service and attention was faultless.
Very good choice, attentive staff, and enjoyable food catering for a wide range of tastes.
A problem with the dessert was skilfully handled without fuss.
Really good food e.g. scallops (bit too much butter) & we ordered another round of their Guinness bread!! The tuna could do with a bit more searing but it's a perfect summer salad in the sun!
A friend arrived late - we weren't sure she would make it - but the staff were able to move us from the small, shady table to a reasonably shaded larger one quickly and efficiently!
The views to The Shard or The Vase (Blackfriars/Southbank) are great but the immediate area is a bit too tall..........
Sensational secluded sun terrace with stunning views over London. Delicious skate wing with spring vegetables that looked like a rainbow on the plate. Impeccable service which ensured an easy relaxed lunch. Great place to impress a client.
Lovely venue and view
Lovely setting, food was good but it stops there.
Service wasn’t great regarding changing by side for another alternative. Unfortunately this was not allowed. The Restuarant needs to get with the times and understand that not all customers want fries with there main meal and should get some alternative options.
Also it was a very rushed service and it seemed they wanted everyone out the restuarant so they could close. We had only just sat down and they asked us to order ASAP before the kitchen closed.
It’s a shame it’s a nice venue but much improvement needed for the prices they’re charging.
Much better roof top venues around where you’re treated better, I wouldn’t rush back.
excellent all around, yummy food, friendly service - cute waiters 😉 and the venue, superb ❤️
Great food, great service, great view. What else is there to say?! Thank you!
Great location but not very happy worth service:
- no butter knives
- we ordered gluten free bread, never arrived
- served wrong cocktail
- wanted order more wine, waiter said that wine menu got lost
Not really satisfying
Overall a very nice rooftop terrace with amazing views and lovely’s service, lots of potential. The food was delicious but portions for value for money were tiny and not worth it. Did not like all the wines - again not good value for money. Cocktails not amazing. Also had disruptive drunk city boys interrupting diners. But overall nice chilled out place for summer nights.
Very nice atmosphere and really good food!
Beautiful setting, lovely food. Set menu was excellent value for the standard of restaurant.
The only disappointment was we were celebrating a special birthday which I advised them and although I wasn’t looking for anything free a little happy birthday on the pudding dish would have been a real touch.
My personal assistant enjoyed a fabulous dinner at your restaurant this week. Food/Service/Ambience were all excellent. Quite pricey however, worth it!
Beautiful roof terrace, with lovely furnishings and plants, nice views but fairly small in size so felt exclusive not busy or crowded. Great to have option to eat inside on roof but still have the lovely views and light while staying warm. Service was brilliant, food was all good though disappointed with the number of items on the menu that were not available (oysters, scallops, halibut all not available). Steak was lovely though nothing served with it except half an onion so became expensive main when needed sides too. Octopus was also a little on the small side as a main for my partner - just one octopus tentacle on mash.
Overall, a pricey evening but felt a special place for a special occasion, so definitely recommend.
Great outdoor seating, great service, and terrific food.
Very nice setting and food presented very attractively. With deal was good value. Only issue was the conservatory does get very hot with the sun
Food was good and well presented for the starter and desserts, but the mains were not to the same standard. Fish was full of bones and this was explained that rather than fillet it, they preferred to leave it to the customer to remove the bones. We also had a rack of lamb for 2 and another fish dish which was fine, but nothing fantastic. Would return but would think about different main courses. Service and ambience are very nice. Price is OK for London. We had a few drinks and a bottle of wine and cake to £360 for 4 people.
Great dinning at the roof terrace, overlooking the Shard and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Terrible, a real disappointment considering the location and the service. £200 for a really bad meal. The fillet stakes did not taste great and were cooked terrible - very dry, like if they were deep fried. The chocolate mouse with stout was one of the weirdest things I've tried in a long time. Maybe the head chef was off that night, but for that kind of money you would expect a really good dinning experience.
Stumbled upon this lovely restaurant and tried it out with my wife on her birthday. Loved the ambience and the friendly service. Food was excellent as well.
On arrival to the restaurant, we were greeted by very friendly staff. The (what appeared to be) manager, took my coat and bags, to put in the cupboard (I had a lot of stuff) and me and my friend felt somewhat awkward standing and not knowing where to wait or whether to wait, whilst other staff also stood there (suggest that whilst one staff puts the coats away, the other shows guests to the table).
The ambience was lovely - beautiful setting with super comfortable chairs. We quickly got our menus and ordered our drinks. I ordered a cocktail which had a unique yet lovely taste (the Ocho). The Asparagus and crab mayonnaise were both lovely for starters - I would recommend them.
The mains took a while to arrive to our table. I had the cod fillet for mains and my friend had the halibut. The halibut was lovely however, the cod fillet was salty (granted I did not notify the waiter).
We didn't hesitate to order dessert and went for the chocolate mousse and burnt cream - this took a bit too long to come but we weren't disappointed with our choices and the presentation of both were lovely
Overall, we had a great experience however, do think that service could be improved in terms of speed.
I would (and already have) recommend this place to friends/family.
Amazing location, food sublime. Service was excellent.
We had a brilliant birthday lunch here. As it is in the heart of the 'City' it tends to be quieter at weekends than during the week. We had a great view and the service was excellent.
Everything was perfect but especially octopus and deserts were so incredibly good. It was such a pleasure and I’m sure I will revisit this marvellous place again.
The baked beetroot was amazing and the service was great. I had a well done fillet as I am pregnant however it came out burnt which spoilt it a bit.
Visited on a Monday so the ambience was pretty chilled. The views are great of St.Paul's and the shard but as it is not very high rise building the views are not as good as some of the other high rise rooftops in London.
I feel like it would be a great weekend spot if the music was more lively and current or maybe house music was played. The music was very chilled but understandable for a Monday night.
The staff were extremely friendly and although the roof terrace has heaters covering from above it was still chilly with the wind and we were offered blankets which we excepted, so that was a nice touch.
Great wine and cocktail menu. The decor and interior is beautiful loved the toilets.
I will definitely go back to Mercer Roof Terrace and the Vintry & Mercer hotel.
Really enjoyable for a spring - almost sunny - lunch. Staff perhaps tried to add too much value with a lengthy debate. Looking forward to going back.
Delicious food & fabulous staff. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful location in the heart of the city - from the terrace you can see the spire of St Paul’s, Tate Modern and the Shard. Lovely in the setting sun. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was well cooked although slightly on the expensive side. But worth the treat for my son’s birthday. I would recommend and go again.
We selected the Mercer Roof Terrace knowing nothing about it and it was a real surprise. The roof terrace has great views without being too open. It is also non-smoking (as all places serving food outside should be) - although there is a small standing area where smoking is allowed.
The food was delicious, the staff were happy, friendly and attentive without being over-familiar and service was timely and accurate without feeling rushed.
Given the location and quality of the food and service, the prices are reasonable.
I will definitely be back.
Beautiful setting ruined by appalling service. Waited 20 mins for a glass, 40 minutes for the starter having been pressured to order before the lunch service closed. Main course under cooked and returned . Disappointing.
Food was excellent and service good. A great everyday venue for that part of town.
Fab venue..amazing food and staff. I will definitely be going back
Bonne nourriture et jolie terrasse sur le toi. Une adresse a conserver !
We had such a lovely time. The food and cocktails are amazing. My wife is gluten free and they looked after her so well without any prompting! We felt so welcome. Would highly recommend! Thank you for making her birthday very special.
Amazing views and good service but the food fell short. The omelet starter was very good but the spring vegetables "en papillote" were bland and the salt baked kohlrabi had too much salt. Perhaps the meat and fish dishes are better but we didn't try them.
