I know it’s the soft launch, but there were many issues at the restaurant that need fixing . Lots of disgruntled customers which did not help to enjoy the restaurant . Roof terrace still had building equipment. Food was nice enough but nothing special. Hopefully it will improve . Lovely views though And they are trying so good luck !

Restaurant only soft-opened, so a certain amount of building work going on around the place, though not directly in the restaurant. Roof terrace outside not yet complete, but will be a lovely place to eat.
Food was excellent, and portions generous - menu short-ish focussed on seafood and meat. Wine list offered a good selection with a decent price range. Service polite, efficient and attentive. Ambiance understandably a little lacking given there were only 2 other tables occupied.
Early 25% discount on total bill until end Feb meant that overall it was exceptionally good value. A welcome new addition to City eating options. Not doing anything revolutionary, but doing it very well.

I really enjoyed both the food and the service at Mercer Roof Terrace. The steaks were great, as was the wine. However I feel that the kitchen is slightly let down by the surroundings - the hotel is clearly still a building site. That said, I shall definitely be returning in the summer, once the terrace is finished. It looks like it will be really spectacular when everything is finished.
