The roof terrace is a superb setting looking in one direction to St Paul’s and the other to the Shard. The service was very good and the food was a higher quality than we expected Go for the beef Tartare, the lobster and the halibut you will not be disappointed. With the 25% discount on the food and drink this is very good value for a top quality City restaurant
Lovely views from the roof top terrace. We watched the sun go down, wrapped in cozy blankets, and then when it got chilly we moved in to the main restaurant for dinner. Very nice cocktails and food (including Dorset snails!)
I can imagine this being very busy in summer
Great new place in the City - lovely terrace
Beautiful hotel, fantastic restaurant and cocktail bar, can’t wait to return PERFECT!!!
Really nice atmosphere - nicely quiet but not so quiet it's eerie - and that was even when most tables were occupied.
Food was fantastic for the majority. Would thoroughly recommend the chicken and/or fish pie. Lacking a bit for the veggie amongst us, though. They were left a bit disappointed with very few options.
Mains portions were decent but desert portions could be a bit more hearty -, apple crumble was delicious but simply not enough of it. Water is far too expensive (£4.50 per bottle i believe?) but that bread was incredible - Guinness bread was one of the best I've had
Service could be slightly better on the tail-end of the service, but that's being very picky and we were in a rush at the end.
Overall thoroughly enjoyable and would definitely recommend, just a few pointers to improve
Friendly service, food was excellent and interior is very beautiful. It should be great for summer!
My daughter and I had an amazing Mother’s Day lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the desert was to die for!!!
The staff were very welcoming and attentive.
We can’t wait to return!!
Very lovely evening here. Perfect terrace to enjoy the sun with a view.
We were expecting a better view but if a little warmer it would have been more motivational to sit outside. Service was good and the waiters were lovely. Food was perfect.
The service was friendly, location great, atmosphere and views lovely. The food was very nice. Service is quite slow, having a jug of tap water on the table would have been preferable to waiting for service. The food was lovely, though the mixed salad could have had a couple more ingredients in it. But overall, lovely.
This restaurant has a great website but it does not reflect its quality. The service is slow and poor, the quality of the food is really not great and it's a very small, noisy place.
A new restaurant on the roof of this new hotel. Lovely space with a bar and restaurant as well as an outside terrace. Had an early dinner and ended up staying until closing time. This is an indication of the very welcoming and friendly service of all the staff, particularly Gosia (I think that's right) who takes such a pride in her work place and in providing great service. The food was good with a nice choice of meat, fish and vegetarian meals. The wine list is very sensible with choice and not OTT prices. A great find that will be very popular in summer, unfortunately for those of us that have already found it.
An excellent evening dinner with friends at a venue none had heard of. Not cheap but worth the evening together!
Amazing food, amazing service! Will definitely come again
Stunning new roof top restaurant in the heart of the city. Intimate but with a nice buzz, panoramic views and really friendly staff nothing to much trouble. The food was excellent especially the chicken dish and mash potato wouldn't hesitate to go to again.
Food was really lovely and well presented. Service was ok, given it was pretty empty it was a little frustrating that our sides were forgotten, and arrived as we were finishing our mains. Lovely venue though and am sure it will be great once teething problems are ironed out.
Great new place in City of London. Views are great. Some dishes are unique and with very good taste and presentation.
Lovely food and lovely hotel - my wife and I had a fab time
Excellent food and very well put together. The service was very attentive. Only complaint was the large uncomfortable chairs (not all tables had them) and the lighting level was a little too low. Will be lovely in summer on the roof terrace.
On arrival, we had a choice of tables. The first table was by the door but we was appropriately moved once a table was free. The waiter was super helpful and understood what we wanted. The manager was helpful and friendly too! The ambience was really good - not too loud, spacious and easy to see the views of St. Paul’s from our table. The food came in amazing portions and was really good. It was my friend’s first time having snails and she loved it! We also had a scallop to share which was really good too. The mains were lovely, COD fillet and half a lobster! Very pretty dishes and suitable for instagram lovers like myself. The cocktail menu is sweet but luckily, the bartender made something to our liking which we thoroughly enjoyed. The desserts were nice - a chocolate mouse with stout served in a pint glass and the blood orange posset was tasty but simple. Overall, we would definitely go back for another catch up dinner date!!
I couldn’t fault this establishment. From the welcome we received to the service during the meal and the absolutely gorgeous meal, we were both over the moon with our evening. The views are stunning and I look forward to returning very soon to enjoy the roof terrace and meet the accomplished cook once again!
Loved it - stuff & superb - getting strong draft if sat anywhere close to the exit to the actually outdoor space on the terrace
The restaurant is in a beautiful setting that will be very special in the summer. Drinks were excellent as was the service. My husband had cod cheeks to start and halibut for main which he really enjoyed and would give the food 4 stars, I had a rib cutlet which at £46 I was expecting to be exceptional. It was okay but not amazing. The chips on the side were the best ever and the smoked potato purée was also amazing! Definitely would go back for the sides! In all a good experience but for the price I expected a little more.
Lovely setting for dinner, probably very nice when weather permits use of outside terrace
Wine list has something for all budgets though surprisingly for a restaurant that is just opened, the wine we chose was not available. Not sure how that can happen after three weeks !
Starter selection was good and generously sized ( apart from the Steak Tartare which is a joke - see below), Mains again, good options, priced on the high side but taste of the pork chop somewhat made up for it.
Sides were nice and really tasty !
However, one serious negative, my partner fancied the steak tartare as mains and the only option was to double up on the starter version. At £32 not cheap, but hey might be worth it. Obviously at that price, expectations were high. To our surprise the smallest ever portion we ever seen in London showed up, honestly I'd have felt ripped off if that was the starter for £16. And not even accompanied by chips or anything.
Will we be back? Doubtful, value offering is just not there at the moment - for total bill at around £170 I would have expected more. Thanks to Sergio for looking after us that evening - he made up for the lack of value!
Very good overall, in terms of food and drink however the food was under maintenance, so pretty pointless at the time
Good variety of menu choices on the rooftop. Nice wine selection. A bit pricey though - £90 each for a 2-course meal and a bottle of wine.
The best sunday roast I have ever had!Service , food and location are great. Definitely recommended.
Amazing service! Great food, atmosphere and the wine was delicious. After-dinner drinks in the lounge were also lovely.
Loved this place!! It’s new and amazing service!
Wonderful food and wine on the roof terrace and super cocktails downstairs in the speakeasy bar DND!
Great service. Warm welcome. Best scallops we have ever tasted. When the outdoor terrace opens this could be a lovely hidden gem.
However, it had just opened so only two or three tables were occupied. Will go again now they are probably busy
We went to the restaurant knowing they had just opened. So we weren’t surprised that the service had a few issues. The staff just need more training and time together to improve their communication.
The view is lovely and the food was excellent. I would go back again after they have ironed out some of the kinks.
I know that this is a fairly new restaurant and so hopefully our experience was just teething problems. The food was fantastic but the overall service was very poor. We were seated in a corner which I have no problem with except for the fact that we were pretty much ignored. We were sat down and it took nearly 20 mins before someone came over to take a drink order.....and at this point we did not even have a drinks menu. Also where we were situated in the restaurant was so dark that we had to use the torches on our phones to read the menus (as did the couple next to us). We did receive a complimentary glass of Champagne because of the wait which was a nice gesture. Unfortunately the overall experience was tainted somewhat by the poor service. We had a bottle of wine which was not kept by the table. We had to ask someone each time our glasses were empty rather than this being spotted by the staff. It is a real shame that the front of house experience did not match the excellent food.
I know it’s the soft launch, but there were many issues at the restaurant that need fixing . Lots of disgruntled customers which did not help to enjoy the restaurant . Roof terrace still had building equipment. Food was nice enough but nothing special. Hopefully it will improve . Lovely views though And they are trying so good luck !
The Roof top Restaurant is beautiful the outside area wasn't quite finished but even so the view was amazing and will be fantastic in the summer months
The restaurant filled up very quickly whilst we were there and they only opened 3 weeks ago
The food was amazing we shared all the dishes so that we could all try everything The Oysters, Tomahawk Steak, Norfolk Free Range Chicken, Langoustine and Dover Sole all well seasoned well cooked, well presented and very tasty
The service could have been a slightly better but they were very busy, the only negative was the very loud, very disruptive, very drunk man on the next table should have been shown the door,
Amazing apart from that and I shall definatly be returning
Deliciously cooked food, great wine and attentive service. A great experience. Will be more enjoyable when the outside terrace is completed and you can enjoy the view over London from your table.
Such a fabulous experience. Beautiful service, fantastic food and wine. Thankyou for all your efforts in making it a special evening for us. We will undoubtedly return.
Excellent new restaurant at the edge of the City. Will be popular.
Friendly service and staff - given its a new venue in a recently opened hotel, shows they’re trying hard. Not much of a “view” from up there. Food portions could be a little bigger/better, main was more like a tasting menu. Loved the presentation of the food. Nice cozy ambience. Went to DND Bar on the lower ground floor after dinner.
Trying hard to be rustic. Food: average.
