Spread over two floors, this Fitzrovia-based restaurant is the brainchild of Monica Galetti who is featuring as a judge on the BBC's MasterChef The Professionals.
The restaurant itself serves traditional, simple dishes that have been delicately tweaked and modified to Galetti's liking. Nestled above the spacious basement restaurant is the bar, which serves light snacks and an array of delectable cocktails.
Monica's husband, David Galetti, is in charge of the Front of House at Mere, using his years of experience as an expert sommelier to create a wine selection along side his head Sommelier Sandra that perfectly balances with the seasonal dishes on offer.

As always an amazing time. The restaurant is one of our favourite places to go. The staff are wonderful.
The food isn’t nice. Very upset.
A warm welcome from David when we entered the restaurant & then EVERYONE excelled be serving outstanding food, wine accompanied by very friendly professional service.
Dietary requests were noted & easily accommodated by the team during the evening that was thoroughly enjoyed & we therefore made sure we reserved another evening in November before retrieving our coats.
Thank you very much for a memorable evening!!!!
The food and service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff to explain what each of the dishes contained. The blend of flavours of the food was second to none, fully recommend an amazing experience.
The taster menu was stunning. Almost too much food. Only eclipsed by the exquisite wine flight.
Nice place for lunch, relaxing, very nice atmosphere and very good service. We shared 6 different dishes between the 2 of us. My son had the duck and the lamb and I had the veal sweetbread and the pigeon. All were good, the meats were perfectly cooked but I found that the glazed sweetbread did not go very well with the mash peas and chilli sauce and I could not really taste the mushrooms. The duck was far more interesting and neat. The lamb and pigeon were very good but not out of the ordinary but the deserts were exceptional (Chocolate+hazelnuts & lemon curd). I will go back to for dinner and try the rest of the menu.
Another fantastic experience at Mere.
The service, food and overall experience were first class. All 4 of us had a great time - the perfect lunch.
The Sommelier recommended a great bottle of wine.
Many thanks to all for a very enjoyable time.
Good choice on menu and friendly but not intrusive service
Came here for my wife’s birthday as she has a girl crush on Monica!
Everything was amazing. Food delicious
Service was friendly and relaxed yet very efficient and professional
Absolutely made my wife’s birthday
We will be back
Wonderful food, wonderful staff. Heavily recommend this gor a special evening.
We went here as a treat (and being fans of Monica!). Can't fault the place, the food, the wine, the team, the service and the ambience was first class. And if they have the cheese mousse on the menu when you go, order it, it was absolutely divine!
Excellent dining experience. A real fusion of flavours that really complement each other, whilst the waiting service was nicely attentive yet not over bearing - just right.
Whilst not cheap, the bill was nowhere near what I was expecting. Because of this, given the quality of food I'd definitely say it is excellent value.
Will definitely return.
A very nice experience. The food and the service were great even But I really recommend this restaurant! A very nice menu with influences from Samoa.
Smart but unstuffy restaurant. Service absolutely spot on - attentive without being overbearing. Some sensational food, especially the lamb and pigeon main courses. Peach dessert was very nice, but not to the standard of the rest of the meal. Just over £200 for 2 of us.
Excellent food and service with great attention to detail. Relaxed atmosphere. Nice touch when Monica made time to speak to all the guests
We had the best evening! The staff were just as amazing as the food and we will definitely be back! What a talented chef and a lovely person too!
Fantastic food and great service. The food was impeccable and the wine pairings were absolutely spot on. Can't fault it.
Perfect in every way. This was our second visit and it won’t be the last. Fabulous flavours, expert cooking and wonderful knowledge staff who don’t intrude but who appear at just the right time. Just a really, really great restaurant. Long may it thrive.
Our first visit to Mere and we weren’t disappointed. The food and service was exceptional. My wife was celebrating her birthday, and the highlight of her evening was being invited into the kitchen to meet Monica. The food was complemented by a great wine list. Will definitely be coming back.
Very flexible staff and very accommodating as one of our party was delayed
This is a lovely restaurant. The food is excellent, the service perfect. Unsurprisingly, the bill at the end of the evening is perhaps twice what we would spend elsewhere; but it is worth every penny.
Fantastic service, divine flavours. Would highly recommend and will definatley be going back!
We had been waiting to visit Mere for a long time and finally made it. It was so good, the food, the wine, and the entire service, this restaurant is, I would say, certainly the best value in its class as far as I am concerned.
We, a group of 4, spent a great evening at Mere with outstanding food.
Fabulous as always, with the divine David and magnificent Monica there too.
Food was outstanding. Pea custard was an explosion of flavour. The lamb was to die for too.
Absolutely brilliant, we were made to feel incredibly welcome. Service is outstanding, without being stuffy.
Incredible how we were made to feel part of the family. Looking forward to our next visit!
We absolutely loved mere; the experience, food, service, assistance with dietary questions, the room itself.
This was our first visit and we had the tasting menu. Every dish was delicious, with wonderful combinations of flavours. Hard to single out a dish, but the pea with truffle and ham starter was amazing. We have eaten in many excellent restaurants in London over the years, and this was among the very best.
Overall was a good experience.
The flavours were really interesting and felt brave - without being style over substance.
The only criticism I’d have was about the pudding. The Hokie Pokie sounded right up my street - and the first bite was sensational. The problem was, it was far too rich to be served in such a big a portion. I was hoping the gel was going to help cut through the very dense chocolate, but unfortunately the only real respite came from the (disproportionately small) bit of ice cream.
Obviously I could have shown a bit of self-restraint and chosen not to finish (hint - I didn’t), but spent the rest of the evening feeling very much like I’d overdone it and sort of clouded my memory of the otherwise very tasty meal!
This is the 3rd time I have been to Mere and as usual I found everything to be perfect...My friend and I was celebrating our Birthdays and we wanted to go somewhere special.
Every detail was bought out from the personal service at the bar when we arrived, to the subtle and unobtrusive service at the table, to the personal greeting from Monica at our table. Food was delicious...a really special night that I would recommend to my friends.
Outstanding fixed price menu lunch, a wonderful way to rejoice in life
An outstanding experience, the food was delicious and the service impeccable. The cocktails at the start were a great way to kick off the evening and there is enough variety for everyone. The wine list includes lots of interesting wines, which are reasonably priced. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone. Overall a lovely meal and we look forward to returning.
From arrival to departure the staff get it right. They are attentive without being overbearing and seem to know exactly when to offer assistance. The food of course is excellent, nicely judged portions on the lunch set menu well presented and delicious. Mere is a cracking lunch destination, highly recommended by me.
Perfect! Part of big birthday celebrations & did not disappoint, thanks Albie (chef)
Excellent service and food, good location and ideal for chatting without too much background noise
The lunch menu was excellent - duck and lamb superb
I was very surprised that there were only 3 tables occupied, staff were pleasant, they weren’t friendly though and the whole experience lacked a WOW factor. We enjoyed the food and the cocktails were very good. We travelled a long way to experience this restaurant and was slightly disappointed.
Nice ! Thanks arrange birthday cake for my girlfriend dinnier. See u next time.
