They sat us indoors in the back where there were no other people and we were able to talk without a lot of noise. Also, we stayed almost 2 hours, a reunion of sorts, many of us had not seen each other in over 20 years. They were totally cool with it and didn't make us leave after the 1 hour limit.
We've been here 2 other times since Covid, both times we sat on the patio and it was great. The server one time could have been much better, but the other it was fine.
Chicken in fahitas was dry and tasted like cardboard
We are in the bar area. Not too busy. Patio was packed. Inside had good social distancing. Servers wore masks and gloves. Felt safe. Good follow up by manager. Nice experience. Consistently great food and drinks!
Honoring dad for Fathers Day
Love Mesero at Inwood / Lovers, so we met friends at the Beltline location. Not nearly as friendly - but may have been due to an inexperienced greeter. Although we had reservations and the restaurant wasn’t crowded, we were told to wait until our friends arrived before we could sit and order drinks / appetizers. That seemed unnecessary and awkward - so I asked if we could just sit and start ordering for our table, but was told no. Once our friends arrived and we were seated, we were then told that we would only be able to dine for 60 minutes and that we needed to leave so they could free up the table for the next guests. This also seemed tacky and unnecessary- and after our 60 minutes, the restaurant was almost empty anyway. Not sure we’ll go back to this location, although we are huge fans of the food.
Food was fantastic and ambiance was great especially sitting outside on the patio. Service was excellent as well.
Enjoyed the patio!
Chicken enchiladas had a ton of cheesy sauce on them. They did bring two kinds of beans, though...
Excellent food and service. Place is beautiful!
This is one of the best patios for eating in the area.
Great service and delicious food while social distancing
Great service and atmosphere. Food was pretty good although my food said it came with beans on the menu and I never got the beans. Our waiter was very nice and attentive and we loved the outdoor patio setting. Drinks were pretty good. Just wish the portion size had been a little larger given the pricing.
Just happy that they were open for dine in! The patio was busy but we ate inside and had a very nice time!
Great service and great food. I felt totally comfortable and felt that they had gone beyond to ensure safety for their diners.
It was very nice, not crowded.
The service was excellent!
The place felt very safe & clean with social distancing measures in place. Well done Mesero employees!!
One of my favorite places. Try the shrimp ceviche!
Excellent service. Love the patio. Salmon tacos and rice were dry and not that good.
Mesero was a Cinco De Mayo Celebration to remember !
Very good service and meal. Would recommend to anyone
Our server was awful! I tried to order and he told me he needed to start with someone else at the table. Then he walked away when that person wasn’t ready even though I was ready. Never came to our table it was not friendly.
Paula was our server and did an excellent job.
I have been a long time Masero patron but I won’t come back to this location. The last two times I’ve been here it was a poor experience. The food was ok but service was sketchy and drinks weren’t up to par. Lots of communication issues with the server. Overall, just not what it used to be & super disappointed.
Mesero simply rocks! Everything I've tried on the menu is delicious and not-your-typical-Tex-Mex. The shrimp ceviche is like none other, the Chairman pork dish is another of my favorites, and the Redfish dish is great, too. My husband always enjoys the cremaqueso enchiladas and the nachos. Top shelf margaritas are smooth and delicious. Service is very friendly and efficient.
Great food and margaritas
Great environment, awesome service and a great overall dinner!
Mesero seems to be in a downward spiral. Manager felt it was a much better use of his time to sit in a booth and eat than to give his staff direction or manage how well the restaurant was running. When I complained that half of my order didn't make it to the table until we were ready to leave, his only comment was "well, they had to cook them". Excuse me? Enchiladas, tacos, FRENCH FRIES ALL had to be cooked also! Requests for additional salsa were only honored once and instead of each diner having a cup of tortilla chips those teensy cups had to be shared by 4 and they were also difficult to get refills for. Mesero reminds me of Mi Cocina in the way it is trending down.
Have been there 4 times during my visits to Dallas, each time its been very good.
I love this spot. Great food and the views of the country club make you think you're out in the country.
Service was great, food was great. Just a super loud area, and only 1 bathroom.
A bit crowded but expected on National Margarita Day. Service & food was great!
We had a great experience! The food was delicious and the place was packed, but that didn't impact our level of service. Diego was fantastic and we will be back!
Great food and margaritas. Loved our booth in the bar! Service was less impressive, but overall good experience.
Our service was unbelievably bad. I am not sure if he was new or just didn’t care or a little of both!
It is always our goal to sit in the bar because it is not as noisy. Food and drink excellent as always. Wonderful coffee and cake for dessert. Our favorite Mexican food in Dallas.
Maybe we just made a reservation on an off night... everyone isn't an A+ every day or all the time, but this was our experience on this night:
-We had to ask for water when we were seated even though chips and salsa were brought out already
-We had at least four different wait staff throughout the meal, no idea who to ask for if we had a question or a request
-The wait staff we saw the most spent over 20 minutes in conversation with a table next to us and paid less then 5 minutes of total attention to my wife and I
-I ordered a margarita when we ordered our appetizer of queso and guac... that drink didn't arrive until after our main dishes were serve, at least 20-25 minutes later
-While we waited for nearly every aspect of service, a wait staff was seen on his phone in the dining room, and another male wait staff was giving a female wait staff, a friendly massage on her shoulders
-The music was too loud and the tables were either too close together making it hard for wait staff to go between and the booth seating seemed small and cramped
-The food was average and between that and the perceived poor service, the value for our money felt very low
Our first time. Had reservations for 1:00. We we arrived, there were a dozen empty tables, but the receptionist (not friendly) told us we must wait 15 minutes. Kitchen was backed up. Once seated, our waiter was awesome (Jared) and the food was also very good.
We went for dinner on Saturday night. We were greeted and sat quickly but once seated the waitress took some time getting to our table. She was pleasant and all but not very knowledgeable about the ingredients in several dishes. We ordered queso which tasted like velveeta with very little flavor. We had the tacos for our main entrees which were somewhat flavorful but nothing outstanding. Overall, I would say that it was a mediocre meal.
The food was exceptional. I liked the vibe of the place, but the tables are way too close together. When a server has to excuse himself because his rear end is over your table to serve another table, that’s toooo close. It was also extremely loud. Not sure if it was the acoustics of this particular building, but to have to yell to the person across the table is not conducive to a nice evening.
