Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business. You can expect great tapas and some amazing, well-priced Spanish wines, served in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere.
We have an outside terrace with heaters and umbrellas but of course, we can't promise the weather! If you book outside we can't guarantee a table inside if the weather changes.
For those unable to eat-in, we offer our famous Paellas for takeaway at lunchtime Monday-Friday.

We have been coming here on and off for 30 years. The atmosphere is always lively and fun so you can forgive the hit and miss food. Recommend the liver and rabbit. Avoid the croquettes

Three of us met for a working lunch on a Monday and were glad that we had booked inside, as the outside space is on the pavement with traffic passing by. We paid £25 per head including a carafe of Albariño white wine, and coffee but no deserts. The tapas selection was better than the seafood paella which was salty and uninspiring. We enjoyed the sardines, and spinach with pine nuts, and fried aubergine slices with honey. The staff were friendly and did not rush us. Recommended - good value.

I love this little place - it never disappoints. Sat outside last night with a small group of friends. We all found lots to enjoy and particularly loved the sardines and the fried aubergine.

Been to Meson Don Felipe a few times and each time has been great. The staff are excellent and very well trained. Food is between good and great but brilliant value. The pork stuffed aubergine is an incredible dish. Service is very quick and you feel very well looked after. Busy and bustling atmosphere but very authentic feeling. Perfect pre or post theatre destination.

Love this place - I first came here for lunch around 30 years ago and have popped back from time to time. Every time I have been, the food, service and ambience has been perfect. I booked for 6:30 pm and the restaurant was fairly full - by 7:30 it was completely full and they were turning potential customers away - so, booking in advance is essential, certainly in the early evening. The jamon is exquisite - try with their ice cold dry sherry.

3 of us enjoyed a lovely meal of varying Tapas dishes promptly served. Charming staff, despite being very busy. Our table was outside the restaurant, which meant we could enjoy plenty of people watching. This restaurant seems to have improved in the last couple of years from slightly chaotic to seamlessly officient. Well done all most enjoyable.

Service was slow and unattentive. Wine we wanted was not available. Calamaris romana were covered in thick batter. Have eaten here many times and this visit was very disappointing. Will not be coming back in a hurry.

The Paella was dry, we ordered both chicken and prawns, The calamari rings were nothing special but ok, what stole the show were the pork meatball in the rich tomato sauce which was slightly over salty. The Ambience js great and the decor is very inviting. I would come here again as a nice place and the service was excellent the staff all lovely

The sherry as always was excellent. I had the gaspacho which was flavoursome and good for a summer's evening. The paella to follow was mainly rice, heavy and could definitely be improved upon. Service is always good.

Fantastic as always. We love to sit at the bar where you can watch the lovely staff working seamlessly with their colleagues. Service is always good and the food and wine are excellent and are both moderately priced. The tapas potions are quite large so we would recommend ordering a couple at a time and see how you get on.

My wife and I ate here at 8pm midweek. The restaurant was packed so it’s essential to book at all times. The food was excellent and great value. Service was a little on the slow side (only to place an order, the food itself came in good time) but I think that was down to the fact there didn’t appear to be enough servers as opposed to their efficiency. And anyway, this is Mediterranean dining, it’s not meant to be rushed! Highly recommend.
