   The service was very good and the staff were excellent. We were both fairly disappointed with the afternoon tea that we were served. No sandwiches as advertised just a small piece of sausage roll a little savoury and another small little thing. Then 2 very small scones with a jar or jam to share and again small amount of cream and then 3 dinky sweet treats. Wouldn’t go again due to not good value for money

   This was a Christmas gift from my son for my sister and I. We had a lovely time. Metro deco is beautifully decorated and we received a warm welcome. We had preordered one vegan and one ordinary afternoon tea. I’ve had vegan afternoon teas before with dense cakes and scones like bricks. Not at Metrodeco. The cakes and scones were superb. The savouries were delicious too and the vegan cheese pie was wonderful. Vegan cheese can be revolting but this tasted so good.

   This is a hidden treasure a few minutes from the Lanes. Lovely setting, fantastic hand made food lots of different teas to choose from and excellent service. One of our party was vegan, their food looked identical to ours and was delicious. Cant rate it high enough

   Had a fabulous afternoon tea here. So many different teas to choose from and all the food was so tasty and very fresh. Never seen such a giant scone before, that was delicious! Couldn't manage to finish everything at the time so took some home to enjoy later on. Would definitely recommend.

   I had an incredible afternoon tea experience at Metrodeco! The atmosphere was cozy and vibrant, with absolutely beautiful decor. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, creating a mix of vegan and vegetarian nibbles for my friend and I! The tea was sensational with a variety to select from -- and more than I could drink in one sitting. I was blown away by the treats - freshly baked and a nice mix of sweet and savoury! Lastly, fantastic value for money- would definitely go back and highly recommend to anyone visiting Brighton. :)

    Exceptional food, everything homemade and super scrummy! Service was fab, nothing too much effort, they even welcomed my friend’s dog and gave him treats. Fabulous treat for my birthday.

    We booked the gin afternoon tea here after reading the reviews and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious! I would certainly recommend a visit. Delicious food, great service, lovely ambiance! 10/10.

    Having chosen A Gin afternoon tea with a voucher I had been given for my 60th birthday it had taken 18 months to achieve due to Covid …. But it was definitely worth the wait!! The usual selection of sandwiches has been replaced by homemade hummus, carrot pate, a locally sourced sausage roll and a cheese savoury - each one a tasting experience in itself followed by scones and a lovely selection of cakes. The menu of teas was 2 pages long and we tried as many as we could! Graham and his team were really welcoming and friendly and we will definitely be finding a reason to return soon!

    The afternoon tea was tasty but it’s overpriced and for that reason I wouldn’t return. It was extremely cold upstairs and we kept our coats on throughout which wasn’t really how I had pictured things.

    Fantastic service. Our afternoon tea was delicious. There was also live music, a skilled guitarist playing beautifully in the background. An all round 5 * experience, we would definitely visit again .

    We had the most lovely afternoon tea. The staff went of their way to make it extra special for my parents birthdays. The food was hearty and delicious. Can't wait to come back many many times 🥰

    The food was amazing here and Sam the chef made the effort of calling us the night before to double check if we had any dietary requirements. I needed gluten free and my partner is vegetarian which they catered for amazingly. They have so many nice teas to choose from to go with the food and the service and atmosphere were excellent. Thoroughly recommend!

    The afternoon tea wasn’t just good, it was magical! Towers of delicious savory and sweet treats, bottomless pots of tea, you best come hungry. The people were wonderful as well. If you are in Brighton, afternoon tea at MetroDeco is a must do.

    Afternoon tea for 2 was a Christmas gift from a family member. So I can't judge if it was good value as we didn't pay for it. But I'm sure it was. Delicious food, excellent service. We will be back. My only very minor tweak is that the decor could do with a little refresh. As I say, a minor point.

    Highly recommend Metrodeco for afternoon tea. Extensive tea menu, from which you can continue to order more pots throughout, and a delicious selection of savouries and cakes, plus scones. We had the vegetarian savouries and they were excellent, not an afterthought at all like some places.

    Very disappointing. Not a good ratio of savoury to sweet. Very stingy with the sandwiches, basically half a sandwich - which was very unrefined. Cold sausage roll not a good addition. All the cakes extremely dry. Very hard to get attention of servers and both times I had to get up put of my seat and walk over to the bar to request service. Not impressed and dreadful value for money. I would not recommend this place

    A short walk from the Pavilion but well worth a visit. Great food and a wide range of teas. Staff were brilliant. Love that you can purchase the tea. Will be going again.

    Lovely afternoon birthday treat. Although it was busy, it was very relaxing and you just didn't really realise how many people were there. The Afternoon tea was perfect and lovely you can take any leftovers home. The choice of tea was great and I will be going back to buy just more loose leaf tea.

    A very special place to spend an afternoon with loved ones. The guys running it were super helpful and friendly without being in your face! Regulars popped in for takeouts and were genuinely welcomed, as were their dogs. We left happy and relaxed…thank you so much.

    Had an afternoon tea at metro deco. It was amazing. I had the veggie option and my boyfriend had the normal one. They were super tasty. Tried some of the tea and would deffo recommend the chai masala. Great time and very filling.
