Mezzet Dar Tapas
Inspired by Spain and Lebanon
What does Dar mean? It’s Lebanese for “lounge” and Spanish for the verb “to give”.
And that’s a perfect combination with Spanish and Lebanese-inspired tapas as well as fine wines in a relaxed and convivial ambience.
Spanish Rice w/ Roasted Baby Squid
Silence of the Lamb
Marinated Scottish Lamb Fillet + Roasted Baby Potatoes
Black Cod Tempura**
Cod + Chilli Jam + Harissa
Great food, atmosphere and superb service.
Will definitely be returning.
Excellent food, and excellent venue. We will be back!
Used to love this place, food quality very much reduced. Microwaved tortilla /v dry, the Middle Eastern food edge was good but clearly lack of spanish real influence or quality. Menu has no descriptions and weird things like Mexican chicken which is not Spanish or Lebanese, and doesn’t even tell you what it is. Drinks list still the same as pre lock down but shame as it could do with a fresher take. Chicken dry, salad very very boring, ham quality ok but not great and the manchego cheese tasted cheap. Worst was croquettes, floury, over mixed so almost chewy, clearly not made authentically and a really dry , over processed croquettes. Please get better !
Love it here. Fantastic food, great staff. One of my favourite places to eat - oh and delicious cocktails too!
Sweet staff, lovely food. Tad experience but after lockdowns understandably trying to recoup I imagine. Great little restaurant and an asset to the area.
When we came here about 3 years ago we were blown away with the quality of the food and cooking. It's still very good but some of the dishes were a little underwhelming.
We will definitely be going here again. The lamb over rosemary was very tasty!
Excellent food as always, Silence of the lambs was a big hit cooked to perfection. Gave us a taste of the Lebanese wine which was delicious will be our go to choice of wine in the future. Generous portion sizes
Utterly delicious food. Some classic Spanish tapas but to me the more original Middle Eastern tapas, very interesting and tempting combinations.
Fun colourful decor in small welcoming venue.
Just delightful in ever respect
I love this restaurant. The Iberico pork cheek and grilled asparagus were lovely, the black cod tempura outstanding but the arroz caldoso might have benefitted from a little more of the baby squid. The service is always excellent.
Really delicious food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great choice of tapas - can’t wait to go back to try some other dishes!
Disappointed with the Valentine’s menu. Very Over priced and unexciting menu. I didn’t like it that we weren’t able to have anything other than the set menu.. the food was overly rich and had no sides so I felt very sick afterwards from lack of anything fresh to accompany the meat and dips. I felt like I wish we’d stayed at home instead and saved ourselves £80...
Fantastic food, Silence of the Lamb was particularly tasty! Great service, friendly and unobtrusive.
We've been to Mezzet Dar several times in the last couple of years and it has nver been anything less than excellent. Service is attentive without being overwhelming and the food is very tasty especially the Silence of the Lambs.
Excellent visit to Dar which is the Spanish Lebanese fusion restaurant; Sister to Mezzet with is the true Lebanese restaurant. I had no idea they we different restaurants and on arrival we were redirected to our booking at Dar which is just two doors away. So happy we went to Dar. The food was fantastic. So full of flavour. We had 13 dishes between 5 of us and tbh it was a probably a dish too much but we wanted to try so many things we didn’t regret it at all.
Staff were excellent and looked after us well. Dishes come out of the kitchen when they are ready so there’s a steady stream of food, just as it should be for this type of meal. You won’t regret your visit here. I just wish we lived closer.
Intimate dining, unhurried, lovely staff.
Extremely good food. Portion sizes were larger than expected so my recommendation would be to order two per person initially, and order another later if you still have space.
Wonderful food and staff cosy tapas bar with unusual seating
Lovely food and good service. Nice for a chatty kind of meal but not a huge amount of ambience as the tables are very small and a bit of a lack of atmosphere. Pricey for tapas but perhaps we aren’t used to London prices!
