Mia - Dalry

Restaurant is close to city centre, near a train station. Food was very tasty and staff very attentive. We would definitely return to Mia Dalry road.

Varied menu. Attentive and polite staff. No rush to vacate the table, we were there for over 2 hours. Good, tasty food, reasonably price. Would definitely eat there again.

Be sure and ask about the menu availability when you get it! We got the menu and spent 10 minutes waiting, when the waiter came he informed us there was no foccacia starters and no pizza- which were our choices! We had to snap-decide another option or we'd have had to wait another 5-10 minutes to order, and we had to leave by 6pm. A note for VEGETARIANS: check the veggie options, mine was not actually veggie- in my panic to pick something I ended up with risotto that had parmesan in it.

Was really nice a little rushed as I booked style table for 5pm forgetting about the restrictions. The guy said he was meant to phone myself as I could have came in earlier. Lovely meal just wished we had more time.

We have been to Mia’s a few times now and every time the food has been brilliant! Although we enjoy the food it’s the staff that make the place, they are super friendly and very welcoming. I’ve taken my 9month old son with me a few times and every time they’ve gone out their way to find us the best place so we can have the pram beside us as well as making a fuss of him :)

Nice menu; really delicious food and friendly service. It was very lively though and quite difficult to hold a conversation. Would still recommend though unless you're taking your Grannie.

Booked a table for myself, my partner and our daughter. Service was really friendly and we felt very welcome. Restaurant had a good amount of people in so good ambience. Portion sizes were fantastic and very generous! Salmon starter was to die for! Our new favourite Italian!

Service was poor - when we asked to sit at a table that wasn't right next to the door (there was one available) it hadn't been wiped. Staff had a bit of an attitude - I'm hoping this was just stress adjusting to the new Covid restrictions. Staff were not wearing masks over their noses. They forgot the tap water we asked for. We were left to look at the menu for 20 mins with no drinks order taken. Once they arrived to take the order we ordered drinks and food and then suddenly everything arrived very quickly - a bit too quick tbh! I would have like to enjoy my cocktail and olives before the starters arrived. The food was good but a little too rich for my taste - anything with a creamy sauce had A LOT of the creamy sauce. Don't think I'll be returning.

Good food. Staff very helpful. They did accidentally turn away my Taxi at the end of the night leaving us stranded. Please make sure your Taxi calls you and does not ask the staff. They are busy and perhaps English isn't great.

Lovely homely Italian style food served in a nice setting. Had the mussels for starter which were delicious. The lunch is great value for money and the restaurant is an easy 6 minutes walk from Haymarket Station or the main bus route.

We've been to mia a few times and have never been disappointed. Food is always delicious and we've had the same waiter the last two times who has been amazing and made our experience even better! I even emailed the manager to highlight the waiters attentiveness and humour - I have literally never done that before but I was blown away.

Not our first visit, loved the changes, the lamb chop special was excellent. Recommend you try this friendly place, the portions are Excellent.

I’ve lived in the west of edinburgh for years and passed this place many time before and after its renovation. Finally visited and was absolutely impressed by the quality of food and service. This place was so busy on a random Thursday night so I’m glad I booked! It’s clearly a very popular restaurant in the area. Had the starter scallops which were delicious and the pizza was great quality and size. My only downfall was that as I’m not using cash due to the pandemic there wasn’t any facility offered to add a tip on the card reader which was sad I could not honour the service provided.
