Michael Nadra Primrose Hill Ratings and Reviews
This is my first ever review I have written on Open Table and I am doing it only because Michael Nadra went far beyond my expectations in every respect.
I picked it for a special occasion and had a wonderful date with my girlfriend. The venue was intimate and well-decorated, the background music was just right, and we spent 3.5 hours dining and enjoying ourselves over cocktails, wine and food.
The food was truly outstanding and good value at that. My girlfriend had the Wagyu steak (which I stole a bit of and it pretty much melted in my mouth), and I would honestly give it a 10/10. I went for the lamb (also top-notch). The starter and desert I ordered (ceviche and cheesecake, respectively) were both innovatively and beautifully presented as well as being delicious.
I had one question and followed up with the restaurant after, and Michael personally answered in a prompt and professional manner and made me feel like he really did care about all aspects of the customer experience. From him all the way down to the waiters, the service was first-rate, attentive and helpful.
I am going to recommend this restaurant to absolutely everyone I know - I really do believe that it, and Michael, do an outstanding job and deserve praise and recognition.
A really pleasant surprise north of Regents Park. Nice environment and decor, creative menu, food beautifully prepared and really nice wine and cocktail list. A first class dining experience. Two minor quibbles but for the restaurant: (1) lose the rotating colored light show in the dining room - it’s a bit tacky and not reflective of the quality dining experience, and (2) one of our servers was clearly sick (stuffy nose and sniffly), and sick people should not be interacting with customers or serving food. These were the only things that kept this from being an all-around 5-star experience.
We had an excellent New Year’s Eve meal! The food was absolutely delicious, with a well-balanced and beautifully presented tasting menu. Our waitress was delightful - extremely cheerful and helpful. Although we are fairly regular diners here we will be back again soon!
Sat and lingered for many hours Sunday afternoon in the garden. Quite reasonable prices given the quality and generous quantities of the food. Solid wine list. This restaurant deserves more attention away from just special occasion diners. Chef Nadra is an excellent host.
We are frequent customers at Michael Nadra and it never fails to please!! We had an excellent meal and a good celebration of our wedding anniversary. Our only comment is that as it was a Sunday evening only a very small section of the restaurant was used, resulting in a lot of noise and loud conversation.
Another evening of great food and charming service . We were made most welcome and a request for an alteration to a dish was sorted instantly and charmingly . It was a surprisingly quiet evening - although it had been a busy lunch session - perhaps due to the bank holiday . Nothing was too much trouble as we ate our way through far too much irresistible food which looked as good as it tasted . Talking with the very engaging Michael Nadra at the end of the evening his passion and commitment came through clearly . This is a restaurant which has never failed to delight us .
We were celebrating a 40rh anniversary, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special. Service and food was excellent, and the acknowledged my comments on booking that it was a special occasion and did something special with our desert. A little gem in Primrose Hill, a tad pricey but well worth it.
We booked this for our daughter's graduation celebration. As always we were greeted very warmly and sipped prosecco as we decided on our food choices. Delicious rolls appeared and were replaced when needed. We chose 4 different starters and three different mains washed down by a couple of bottles of Picpoul. Everything was delicious and we cleared it all. Desserts were offered and chosen by three of us. The sweets were deemed delicious and my cheese chosen by the maitre d' were a great mixture. Whilst it keeps up this quality of food and service it will remain one of our "go-to" placed for special occasions. Not cheap but most definitely worth it.
Fabulous food and lovely restaurant. The owner Michael was the perfect host, very attentive and welcoming. The food was executed beautifully and tasted incredible. The only down side was as it was a hot day, we chose to eat outside and although the area was decorated beautifully, there was a busy public pathway that went along side it with very little screening. Would definitely go back and recommend!
Went for a three course lunch menu with the market fish as main which was truly outstanding with a great wine recommendation, beautiful deserts and a great cheese selection. With the sun on the terrace, friendly service and amazing food it truly was a memorable experience. Thank you
The food was exceptional, as was the service. The staff gave us a mini wine tasting and encouraged us to choose options that paired best with the meal despite being cheaper than the win we initially opted for. Michael also spent time helping us select the wine and made us feel extremely welcome. Will definitely be back!
Sunday, 02/04/17, was our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We live in Chiswick and usually go to Michael Nadra's restaurant here, but on our daughter's advice she suggest the change of venue to Primrose Hill. It was a great suggestion and Michael treated us very well, throwing in a surprise fish course and raspberry sorbet with 'Happy Anniversary' beautifully written around the plate in chocolate.
We will definitely visit both Chiswick & Primrose Hill again, the latter most probably with our daughter and husband.
Many thanks again Michael
Superb! The flavours were incredible and everything was cooked to perfection; the stuffed quail starter was my personal favourite. Unusually there is also a decent list of wines by the half bottle, a nice touch. I can't wait to go back to try the tasting menu!
