Had a celebration birthday breakfast with a few friends. The service was appalling, it’s such a shame as I’ve been before and had such a nice time. The waiter was very rude!

Having read a few of the reviews I was a little sceptical of how our visit would go. Initially we were put at a table right in the corner by the fire exit, and when we asked to be moved they happily did so. The staff were initially very attentive and the sandwiches were very fresh. We asked for further salmon sandwiches which were delivered but after about a 20 minute wait. I felt after the initial welcome and service became less attentive. Overall though, I felt the afternoon was really nice, the food fresh and good value for money and if you are put on a decent table the ambience is really nice too.

Excellent food and service in an awe inspiring venue. The old banking hall looks amazing and just as I remember it. Great live music just adds to the ambiance.

I work 5 minutes away from The Ned and have been meaning to book a table there for some time. I decided on dinner at Millie's Lounge and it was a fantastic dining experience. From the moment I walked in, there was a surge of energy and vibrancy. I was welcomed with smiles by the staff and The Ned was generally buzzing being a Thursday night in The City. There was a Gatsby feel to Millie's Lounge and there was also live music, so it was quite noisy but we could still converse without raising our voices too much. But the waiters and waitresses did have trouble hearing our orders at times. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the scotch egg for starters and lamb and mash for mains. The cocktails and wine were also good, with a vast selection. The service was prompt, professional and attentive throughout. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Birthday dinner, service was great, food was good, live music with singers was really nice. But it all might be a bit too loud to have proper conversations without needing to raise your voice.

Loved! Loved! Loved Millie's Lounge. Delicious food. Excellent service. Fantastic ambience. Everything was just what we wanted for a friends' get together dinner.
Piano playing was great. The one thing we didn't like was the extra loud live music with the singers. Much too loud and was the style that would have been so much more authentic if 'unplugged.'

Great location, but disappointed with our dinner that lacked flavour and felt like it was cooked and reheated in a microwave. No dry chicken, no stuff or sauces offered. Fry roast potatoes .
For a great location, venue - so disappointed in the food. Wine was brilliant and service could not fault

Having been so excited about our first trip to the ned after hearing such raving reviews from friends we left utterly disappointed. How an earth Millie’s restaurant can getaway with charging £15 for a tuna salad which is by their own admittance tinned tuna is beyond me! Pret do a better tuna salad! Tables are so close together like sardines admittedly at a lunch time a bit of a nursing home atmosphere. Such a shame as stunning hotel - the concierge (very nice man) helped explain what may be better to try if we ever do visit again which seems doubtful. My sister was hoping to stay a night for her anniversary commemoration by up and swayed her not to based on my experience wouldn’t recommend.

Service was excellent - we had booked a table for 5 and inadvertently had 7. The team took it in their stride. Food was good but not as great as I’ve had previously. Service was excellent.

Brought my sister here for afternoon tea, to celebrate her 60th birthday.
Booked online a few weeks before going.
We had a fab afternoon - service was faultless, food delicious and the setting magnificent.
Thank-you!

Always great when I come here and always receive excellent service. There was a slight issue with my order today but I chose not to flag simply because the staff are so great and attentive. Especially Bianca

Excellent service, ambient and food. The toast took a little longer to arrive after breakfast was served than one might expect of a place like the Ned. Otherwise, outstanding experience.

We went for tea at Millie's Lounge. It was lovely, and buzzy. There were people drinking at the bar, and also people there for a nice tea. It was a great atmosphere.

The service was chaotic. The orders had many errors, to the point where once of waiters referred to it as a comedy of errors! Very poor which spoilt the meeting.
The food solutions are so limited it's actually very poor and lets the place down.
I was expecting much more for The Ned, particularly as it's been going for a year now.
To top it off there was no discount on the bill and I had to pay service charge...a total joke.

Great food and atmosphere. The waiting service was fantastic. Front of house should improve their greeting and welcoming of guests.

Although there are no specifically vegan options on the breakfast menu, the staff were very helpful and allowed me to swap items to create a vegan breakfast dish. Lots of non-dairy options for coffee which was nice. Portion sizes were generous, decor and ambiance exactly right for work meetings or catching up with a friend.
I'd have given five stars if there were vegan options on the menu.

Our only criticism is the live music. It is too loud and frenetic and sometimes a bit distorted because of the large space - acoustic not right. It can be extremely off putting when you are trying to talk and eat - however good the band might be. Hard to find a quiet spot.

Food was below average. Sandwiches were dry like sandpaper. Clearly had been left out for a while. Filling in meat sandwiches were non-existent.

Great venue, terribly overpriced for afternoon tea!!!!
Maybe for drink it would have been better.

Our 5 th anniversary dinner - great service and food .. would def go again . The only negative were the unfriendly barmen - we asked for a cocktail list ,were handed one but had no description of cocktail ingredients and we were not advised on any selection - it’s always good to have a friendly barman !

Our food was amazing and service was good. I was there on a Friday night and there was live music .... music was great just really loud when trying to chat over dinner. Will absolutely go back and eat at lunch and then for drinks at night when it’s a louder, fun atmosphere.
Definitely try the charcoal gnocchi - delish!

We were visiting in town and went for high-tea. Atmosphere is wonderful, especially with the live band (chill ambient music) and staff/service was fantastic. High tea was such a great experience, and a MUST DO for anyone visiting London. I loved that they were careful with my allergy and made the whole experience just perfect. The scone and jams, to die for!

Had a family lunch. Pluses - the staff were really lovely with the kids and the food and ambience is great. Cons took 20 mins to attract the surfers attention to order, and despite the reasonable priced kids menu, 3.50 a glass of milk is frankly ridiculous

The setting is fantastic - lively restaurants whilst still maintaining the Banking Hall feel. They have certainly pulled this off. The menu has good variety of choice and was excellent - both in terms of taste and presentation.

A couple of things to be aware of if you are booking here - we dined on a Thursday evening and there was a band. Although the volume was not excessive the acoustics of the high ceilings means that he volume does reverberate across the entire venue. The other is that we were seated at a low level table with lounge chairs next to the bar. I did book very late so I was grateful for a table - however the low level seats can prove challenging if you are a lady in heels. Unfortunately there was no tables available for us to move to - however the uncomfortable sitting position did mean that we went to a different venue for drinks afterwards dinner.
