Absolutely phantasmal. Would definitely go again,
Food was better than expected and good value for money
A beautiful setting with delicious food. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend The Ned and will be going back again soon.
Waiters do not focus on your table and go wondering, left for long periods with no service at all. Was on a client meeting and was a bit embarrassing but the rest was good.
Excellent food, perfect service and beautiful interior.
We had to change a business breakfast meeting to a 5:30 meeting - it was quite noisy and very dark .... but would have been great if we were staying longer.
We went for a business lunch. To start, despite booking with Opentable and arriving on time, the hostess said we had to wait and she would see if she could find a table available for us -- I thought that was the point of a booking but she acted like the booking did not mean anything and they did not have to honor it. Second, the waitress had a poor attitude. She kept pushing us to order bottled water and huffed when we didn't. She then literally snatched the drinks menu out of my colleague's hand despite the fact that he said he wanted some extra time to look at the wine list and could she come back after she put in our food order. She was rude to us throughout the service and we were so relieved when another server actually brought us our meal as it was getting embarrassing seeing how rude she was treating us in front of clients. Finally, the bill as a disaster, she actually gave me the bill from the table next to me but I did not catch it until after I had paid and then had to go back - again very embarrassing for a client lunch. She was also being ageist. My clients are youthful but very successful but it was clear she took one look at my party and decided they were all kids and not worth her time where as the table next to us which were grey haired businessmen got much better treatment - irony being that the 'kids' early 30s at my table were probably bigger players in the market. The food is not that spectacular and the Ned is not that exclusive that they can get away with treating customers this way.
Had a very nice evening at Millie’s lounge at the ned. Service was wonderful and it was nice to see how kind and patient staff were with their trainees. The food was delicious, have absolutely no complaints and look forward to visiting again.
Lovely venue and an enjoyable experience overall. There were 4 of us, two Non-meat eaters but it wasn’t possible to get a plate of sandwiches without meat. We asked again for the second round but it was obviously a problem. Eventually, after quite a while, we were brought a plate of fish sandwiches. Which still wasn’t what we had asked for! So maybe not the best place if you don’t eat meat!!
The tables are too close together - preventing business discussion .. - as it’s not private enough
We took visiting family for Sunday breakfast. Very enjoyable. The only reason I didn’t go for 5 stars is that our table wasn’t in the greatest position. maybe it’s the luck of the draw.
Amazing food, staff & ambiance. A fabulous night out.
Great venue and food. Service very rushed and not very professional.
Food wasnt great n very over priced for what it is.
Brilliant ambience and fast service. Food was delicious
Too loud, miserable service, overpriced
Food - Egg Royale service completely cold, croissant is also just average.
Service - One gentleman very nice and one black lady extremely rude.
Great place and astonishing furnishings.
Overall not worth the price.
Good food, nice setting within the Old Midland Bank great service but pricey for what you get. Nice live music added to atmosphere
Wonderful venue in the heart of the City. Stunning surroundings and great ambiance. Food is excellent if a little over priced. Staff are extremely attentive and very polite. Would definitely dine here again and would have no hesitation in recommending the establishment.
Very nice and quirky place for a special occasion. The only comment is the prize for the service charge was a lot but I guess that is in london.
The Ned always delivers in terms of ambiance, however our group were disappointed with the food quality and service in Millie's Lounge. Our table waited long periods to attract service attention for ordering more drinks and desserts. Our Sticky Toffee dessert arrived freezing cold and it's replacement was again luke-warm. The staff did take this off the bill, but it was disappointing considering the prices.
Fabulous place, will definitely return to try the other eateries at The Ned! highly recommended
Awesome. Really special place.
Really shocked by the rude service and badly trained staff. Was so looking forward to my visit as I was bringing a close friend to have a quick celebratory drink but unfortunately the evening took a sour note due to our experience. Haven't seen the likes of it in a long time, London or otherwise. Went to another part of The Ned for dinner and was relieved to see this wasn't the case everywhere.
If a manager or GM can write to me I'd be happy to provide more details.
It is such a beautiful venue with an amazing atmosphere. Staff are super friendly and the cocktails were delicious, however the food isn't great - we had roasted salmon on rainbow chard with cauliflower puree and fish & chips, both were just really bland and chips quite hard. It was a special occasion so we didn't want to send it back. We'd definitely go for cocktails again, just not food.
Great place, love the food and the ambience. Fab staff. Love it here that’s why I keep going back !!!!
Food was a bit disappointing but The Ned is a great place to be.
Probably the best atmosphere in the City to say the least. I did think that the food at Millie's could do with a bit more TLC. (my steak wasn't hot enough for example)
Great service and wonderful staff, so a loveky evening overall.
Eggs were watery. Toast was burnt. In general food was poor quality. However staff friendly and surroundings lovely. Would not go back due to food.
The stuff was helpful but service we have to waiting for long to be served.
Food was disappointed in terms of tastes, nice atmosphere and with nice people around.
A lovely venue, stunning. Food and cocktails are outstanding too. This is my eight or ninth visit so, there you go. Staff are wonderful and very friendly.
One of the best restaurants I've visited in London on a Saturday night - fantastic food (you get what you pay for), great service, outstanding setting and wonderful live music providing a great ambiance. I would recommend to anyone and everyone! Can't wait to visit again!
Really lovely afternoon tea £10 extra for 1 glass of champagne which I thought was expensive but overall a lovely experience
Beautiful place, reception staff should improve manners and food over priced, but still good. You definitely pay for the architecture and ambience. Nice that there is a live band :)
The staff were brilliant. I requested a special table and they delivered! We went on a Friday night and the band was playing which was great but was a bit loud at times but not a problem at all.
Will definitely be returning and would recommend to my friends.
Jack and his team are outstanding - best venue in London to have breakfast !!
Food left me with funny stomach the next day which wasn’t pleasant.
The atmosphere is stunning and it’s definitely a place you would like to show to your visitors, however, I think the food is nothing special compared to the price you pay. Oyster were delicious though
A lovely experience although the waitresses seemed to want to turn the table over,so we were rushed a little.
