Great lunch with huge helpings!
Thought it was good value for money for a great city lunch.
The lady who served us was very attentive and professional, we will be returning.
Lovely tea and great value compared to other overpriced afternoon teas in the city. Great ambience, right noise level
Really enjoyed our afternoon. At times, service was a bit slow, but it didn't affect our overall experience.
It was ok, not the best, not the worst. There are other much nicer restaurants in The Ned.
Great venue - but the food offering at Millie's is not so great: A bit school dinner-ish in my opinion. Maybe we should have gone into one of the other restaurant areas at the NED? However - we enjoyed the evening very much: Live music - great, and service - very good.
Good food and great service. Really friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable setting and live music as usual.
Really good venue with great food. Can get noisy once the whole of The Ned starts to fill up and the live music starts but didn’t stop us having a really good afternoon.
Was not impressed with breakfast here . Service was ok but nothing special . Mushrooms on toast with poached egg was fine but not super tasty which they have to be if you are charging that much . No salt and pepper pots on table and one butter between two .
I would prefer the Ivy or Duck and Waffle next time
Entering the Ned you feel like to have entered into another world and time. The up-and-coming musicians on a Monday are very talented and entertaining to watch.
Amazing as per usual
Only thing that needs working on is some of the staff are a bit rude and not very smiley.
Dark hair girl with tattoos all down her right arm ( not being judgmental, couldn't catch her name) she was very miserable.
Overall was great food, service and atmosphere.
Staff rude, said had a booking but then said you cant book a table ? Even though we had booked on line ?
Very odd?? Staff should be more customer service friendly..
Delicious food, very good service and amazing live music.
The staff were rude, we had to chase them to order drinks 20 minutes after being seated. We had to borrow salt, pepper and cutlery from other tables which whilst not a big deal, with a compulsory service charge added to the bill was not what is expected. Have been many other times and has never been this bad. Such a shame
The service was very good, we were 4, 2 standard afternoon tea and 2 special ones, one for a vegetarian and 1 for a person with diabetes and they were both very good, thank you for the special attention.
Very good experience. The building is truly spectacular and it’s hard not to be impressed. I used it when it was a bank and they’ve really done it justice with this conversion.
Breakfast was good, nothing spectacular, and good coffee too. Service was a little mixed but the place was busy.
I’d highly recommend for casual meetings, or breakfast catch ups.
This was a wonderful spot for a cream tea. The venue is lovely, the scones were fluffy and warm and the service was quick.
We went on a Thursday afternoon and the vibe certainly changed after 5pm as the apres work crowd came in, but it was still very enjoyable.
I will certainly be back again.
A good place for a business breakfast - tables separated enough to be able to have a discreet conversation, effiicent but unobtrusive service, quiet enough to hear yourselves talk and think, good reception for phones/internet. not stupidly expensive either. And in the heart of the city.
soup was cold, spinach and broccoli were cold and not nicely cooked, didn't taste fresh. V disappointed
The restaurant and dining experience was excellent. However, we were very disappointed by having a 12.5% service charge added to our bill for pre-dinner drinks when my husband went to the bar to purchase them and brought them to where we were standing - there was no service element entailed at all apart from the barman pouring the drinks. Obviously, we expected to pay a service charge for our meal and its accompaniments, but there is no need for such a well-respected, popular venue to impose such a charge for the 'self-service' purchase of drinks at the bar.
Great breakfast baps, always love the environment here.
Lovely place to relax and eat good food.
Well spoken maitredee who was very helpful. Will go again soon.
Amazing food ... superb ambience. Live music was simply wonderful
Excellent service. Good choice of dishes. Hot and tasty food. Good choice of wine and beer
Great venue and food
We had to chase a waiter to take our order and some of our drinks didn't ever arrive. Shame as the setting is good for working breakfasts and not too loud but the service really let them down.
Millies is a great place. It's over priced but has excellent service. The small menu is quite good but not the most inspiring.
A surprising lack of spreads for toast and the crumpets, healthy sized serves and a top ambience.
Always consistently good food, and great atmosphere.
Terrible band wailing at full volume
All in all, terrible
Millies is a nice and easy place to eat and drink. It’s quite dark though, so you’ll need your phone light for the menu!
Excellent option for a quick business lunch. The food was great and came very quickly once we ordered.
Absolutely phantasmal. Would definitely go again,
Food was better than expected and good value for money
It's always a lively setting, but the food was very mediocre last week. I think Cecconi's is much nicer!
A beautiful setting with delicious food. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend The Ned and will be going back again soon.
Waiters do not focus on your table and go wondering, left for long periods with no service at all. Was on a client meeting and was a bit embarrassing but the rest was good.
Excellent food, perfect service and beautiful interior.
We had to change a business breakfast meeting to a 5:30 meeting - it was quite noisy and very dark .... but would have been great if we were staying longer.
We went for a business lunch. To start, despite booking with Opentable and arriving on time, the hostess said we had to wait and she would see if she could find a table available for us -- I thought that was the point of a booking but she acted like the booking did not mean anything and they did not have to honor it. Second, the waitress had a poor attitude. She kept pushing us to order bottled water and huffed when we didn't. She then literally snatched the drinks menu out of my colleague's hand despite the fact that he said he wanted some extra time to look at the wine list and could she come back after she put in our food order. She was rude to us throughout the service and we were so relieved when another server actually brought us our meal as it was getting embarrassing seeing how rude she was treating us in front of clients. Finally, the bill as a disaster, she actually gave me the bill from the table next to me but I did not catch it until after I had paid and then had to go back - again very embarrassing for a client lunch. She was also being ageist. My clients are youthful but very successful but it was clear she took one look at my party and decided they were all kids and not worth her time where as the table next to us which were grey haired businessmen got much better treatment - irony being that the 'kids' early 30s at my table were probably bigger players in the market. The food is not that spectacular and the Ned is not that exclusive that they can get away with treating customers this way.
