Afternoon Tea is a luxurious affair, served in Millie's Lounge in the Grand Banking Hall. Paying tribute to the building's history as a bank, Millie's Lounge features plush seating and green marble pillars.
Dine Local: Afternoon Tea with a glass of champagne £28
Not available in conjunction with any other offers.
Afternoon tea itself is ok, not outstanding but just ok. You generally enjoy the atmosphere more than the food and tea
A last minute booking and we were pleased with our decision. Beautiful surroundings, wonderful service and lovely ambiance.
Absolutely loved it here, will 100% be coming back... definitely my kind of place. Service was excellent, food was great and the ambience made for a very relaxing breakfast.
Dinner service disappointing compared to afternoon tea and breakfast, menu limited, food uninspiring, noisy environment and service very poor and rushed
Food and ambience were great. Service was quite slow, but luckily we weren't in a rush!
Afternoon tea with champagne, lovely experince, good wondeful
Attentive service and friendly staff. The food was of excellent quality and the service was quick.
The perfect place for a business breakfast. The staff are attentive without being overbearing and the food was excellent. Thank you to Mr. Cohen and his team for making our visit to Millie's a very pleasant experience. I look forward to returning soon.
Fabulous breakfast. Very accommodating service
Just wish the had better cocktail options . Cocktails were in tiny glasses and not worth the money
Food was very good, staff initiated good conversation, good sense of humour, overall lovely experience. The only downside was the volume of the live music. When eating I would prefer a slightly more quiet experience, as at some points it was hard to communicate with my guest. But overall a lovely experience 👍🏼
Always great service and great cocktails! Pianist was a lovely touch also x
Every time I go to Millies I am always let down by the standard of food. The chips were overcooked and hard. It is not the same standard as Kaia and cecconis.
Food cold. Service okay. Not worth the money. Don’t go
Fabulous location for any occasion. We went for my friend's birthday and the ambiance was perfect. Beautiful music was played by singer and pianist in the centre of the hotel.
We had the lobster which was delicious - would highly reccomend this dish.
Service from the waiters was excellent- nothing bad to say to be honest. Will be back!
Lovely breakfast , good tea and coffee and polite and helpful service
It was a lovely afternoon. Staff made us very welcome and it was my friends birthday
and they gave her a special cake with a candle.
Lovely surroundings, great staff. Food only ok
My colleague and I ordered the chicken, but we had to send hers back as it wasn't cooked through. It was dealt with quickly but my poor colleague had to sit with nothing to eat and just watch us eat whilst a new chicken was cooked. She then ate on her own as we'd finished by the time the freshly cooked chicken arrived. Spoilt our team lunch out somewhat. Hopefully a one off and I would give the benefit of the doubt and return one day.
First time at Millie’s and can’t wait to go back. Food was awesome. Highly recommend.
We dido not receive all items ordered with the breakfast -
Water was not topped up regularly
The lady that served us came across as if she couldnt be bothered. Forgot our butter for toast, fruit salad and water.
She then disappeared and we were left looking for someone to take our payment.
We was told that she had gone on her break?!?
We have been to the ned a number of times but this was a paticually poor experience.
We left wondering if we will return again.
Good food but service not what you’d expect, miserable staff and not as attentive as they should be
Nice restaurant in a lovely hotel, good food good service. There was a nice atmosphere there.
Lovely atmosphere, The Ned never fails to dissappoint. We have had family breakfasts to birthday dinner celebrations here. It's the perfect venue for every occasion.
The food came out really quick which was great! The curry was delicious however the rice was very hard and undercooked.
Service was very slow, meaning I waiting 45 minutes to get a cocktail. Maybe the bar was short staffed?
Overall it was a lovely experience, I was just annoyed about the slow service.
Fabulous food and atmosphere! Definitely recommend
We had a great time at The Ned
Food and service was really good
Service was also great !!
I thoroughly recommend this venue for a great evening out in London
The food and scene was amazing! However the service itself was slow, and had to ask to have Prosecco topped up a few times. Was rushed when they wanted the table but would be slow when we need them to be quicker.
One of my favourite places in London and a great experience. Everyone needs to have lunch or drinks here at least once.
Excellent meal, very attentive staff, beautiful surroundings> Drinks are expensive but the food is good value.
Great food and atmosphere. Service a bit slow. Someone bought the afternoon over and said someone will be over to talk us through it, but no one came over, which is totally minor and it would not stop us from going again! Recommend the champagne!
Attended Millie’s Lounge at the Ned on Saturday 5th September 2020. The service was a little slow initially, but generally good and staff were extremely friendly. Opted for Fish and Chips as a main and I am so glad that I did as it was excellent.
Regular so I enjoy it place of the consitant high level of service.
Friendly staff. Food was delicious. Try the chicken curry! was amazing
Wedding Anniversary breakfast.
Very small glass of orange juice.
Full English - brown toast was rock hard.
Sausages didn’t seem as good quality as the excellent breakfast at Browns just around he corner.
Disappointed overall, from experience in other 5 star hotels the food is much much better. The menu choice was limited and the dessert we had was the worst thing either of us had had for a long time. The banoffee pie...had maybe just come straight out of the freezer?
Thé live Music was a nice idea but the acoustics in such a large room didn’t allow for a good ambience.
Great vibe. Busy but spacious, lovely jazz band adding to a great buzz around the lounge. The crab and Dover sole were fabulous and the lobster claw was enormous!
Great service and the drinks were as they should be. Will be back soon.
Attended for afternoon tea.
Absolutely gorgeous experience all round. Sandwiches egg and cress coronation chicken smoked salmon and cheese and ham. For me I would only normally pick one of those by choice but all were well made. Only reason for 4 in food. So accommodating, so pretty and would definitely recommend!
