Great place for a working breakfast. Food was good with enough choice to ensure both me and my guest could choose quite different options. Nice touch with the juice shot of the day. Buzzy atmosphere without it being too noisy to be heard. Tables not too close together which is really critical if you're in a work context.

Excellent service. Shame that the manager is leaving as she has always been so pleasant to deal with and very accommodating... 5 star service all the way.

Not sure. Service was good but not the best and the fish & chips was way too oily.
But the Ned concept is nice so I would probably try another one.

From the minute we got to the Ned, and asked if we could delay our booking to take advantage of afternoon tea, we had the best time. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Everyone was really attentive despite dealing with 3 different dietary requirements! We had a lovely relaxing afternoon with plenty of food and weren’t rushed to leave. All fabulous!

Food absolutely fine. Location great. Service was too much - kept coming over to check that we were ok but then when we wanted to either order or pay had disappeared. Very friendly but just too much.

Had a lot of difficulties even having a table booked to get in. There was a queue at the entrance and the staff was not having a good process to differentiate people with table booking and folks just coming in for a drink. Service at the table was good. The ambiance was louder than I expected the band was not able to be heard properly over the noice of the crowd.

Over rated, over priced . Building lovely and retains old features.
Overall had a better experience at local garden centre for less cost.

I made a booking as I had previously been here for a meeting and was told I couldn't sit down without one. This time I made a booking and was told again, you can't sit down unless you are eating. These guys are obviously doing so well they can treat customers with utter disdain

Amazing afternoon tea with my sister. I treated her for her birthday and had completely forgotten id let the team know when booking. They came out with a small treat and candle with a happy birthday plate, and they knew to give it to her which was such a nice touch.

The service was second to none, nothing was a problem for our waiter.

Lovely afternoon, want to do it every Saturday

Even I made my reservation a week before, our table was at a bad corner which is just next to kitchen door. When I told to the lady who showed us our table, she had a very unpleasant face about our request and finally I catched a table which was paying the bill. They should be more interested. But the waitress was very kind. The food is nice and the cocktails are great. But be prepared for a great noisy ambiance:)

Value for money is correct, atmosphere is not to everyone's taste. But worth booking a table after 7pm so you dont have loiterers from the bar standing right next to you. Try the chicken!

I first visited The Ned with friends for lunch. I loved it and wanted to try out the afternoon tea. I booked for my husband and I and wasn’t disappointed. It was very good value and plenty of it too. Everyone we encountered was very helpful and friendly. I’m booking a table for four next week, again for afternoon tea. I’m bringing the girls from work in a month or so too. It’s a beautiful building, iconic even!
Have recommended it friends.

The food was delicious. The service was good. The restaurant was so loud, that we couldn’t have conversations and couldn’t communicate with the wait staff adequately. We didn’t even stick around to see the dessert menu.

It's lovely to have afternoon tea in Millie's Lounge, just to watch the people and relax. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary, and the service could have been more attentive, though it was very busy.

It’s a nice setting however even thought their website says up to 2 hours, we were moved fairly swiftly before 1.5 hours was up without even getting a chance to have deserts. I could see several others moved to the bar for that, so it just felt too rushed. I’ve had a fair few afternoon teas and that’s the first place to have ever moved me so quickly. Had we been given the full 2 hours, we would have been able to finish the afternoon tea. Overall not happy

Our visit to Millies Lounge on this particular occasion was disappointing, our table was booked for 11:30am and I had received email confirmation regarding my booking and detailing I had my table booked for a two hour period. We had arrived 5 minutes early to Millies Lounge and we were greeted by a member of staff who noted our arrival and the first comment made to us was 'I need to remind you that we need your table back by 12:15pm'. Upon showing us to our table I asked another member of staff to clarify when we needed to vacate our table, to be told again 12:15pm. In the space of 5 minutes we had 3 other members of staff come over to us asking for our order, we had literally just sat down and hadn't even attempted to look at our menu as still horrified to learn that we only had 45 minutes to enjoy what was suppose to be a nice leisurely brunch also it being a special birthday occasion. Before placing any order initiating myself again with staff I explained my booking and my email which states I had booked a table for a two hour period, I was told to wait and that someone would come back to me, by now 15 minutes had passed and we hadn't placed our order and had 30 minutes left before needing to vacate our table. A member of staff then came over to state we could have the table until 1pm. I felt this whole experience from the start was unpleasant and not leisurely at all, pressured into ordering and pressured into leaving it was not the experience I had imagined especially for a special occasion.
