Fantastic ambience and atmosphere in a fabulous room setting. Service was perfect.
Unfortunately my wife had to send the rib eye back as it was cold and rare. Replacement was perfect medium rare and piping hot.
Lamb was perfect.
Excellent wine selection.
Would highly recommend and will return.
Lovely atmosphere as always and a comfortable seat for breakfast
Food was great, and that is all.
Two things were very annoying: (i) all of waiters kept addressing us with ‘guys’ (ie. ‘do you need something else guys?’, ‘how is everything guys’ etc.). first of all i am not a man and secondly i would expect that in a fast food restaurant Millie’s is not; (ii) why do waiters feel the need to fill in tour glass when its already full - it looks ugly especially if glasses are not very big and i have the feeling i am being rushed to drink it all and order another one.
So overall, not sure I will recommend this one to anyone.
Extremely rude heavily tattooed woman waiter. No manners.
Wow. I was blown away. Pictures do not do this place justice.
Good food even if the Steak was served a bit sparcely. Steak and chips only. The service is exceptional and the ability to hear your companians chat is brilliant.
Service was slower than usual and it took time to get someone’s attention to order more drinks.
Overall, it was really lovely. The food was amazing and the staff very attentive. The only thing I'd change is that I told them it was a birthday on the booking and there was no recognition of this. Not a criticism per se, just that it is lovely when a restaurant makes a bit of a fuss.
There appear to be a shortage of staff. Waited a while to order an extra coffee and again to pay.
Major issues with the food, unusual as the service is normally good
As always a pleasent place for breakfast at the weekends. Good service, food and atmosphere.
Excellent lounge. Great for after work drinks and dinner. Service is excellent.
Had a simply lovely time at The Ned! Lovely food lovely service! Expensive but lovely for a treat or special occasion!
Millies Lounge is my favourite restaurant in the City for Breakfast - Jack and his team are so lovely and professional and I always cant wait to return.
Food was average. It came at different times and the avocado was overripe.
We were at a corner table therefore waiters were not paying to us. Had to make a lot of effort to get their attentions and then to order food ... kind of ruin the moment. I like that a small cake was given to me for my bday!
You need to be aware that Millies has virtually no coverage on the menu for vegetarians. Which caught me by surprise and caused an issue as my main guest was vegetarian. Chefs need to up their game a bit as veggies and vegans abound these days.
The situation was eventually saved by a waiter offering to have food from a sister restaurant delivered at the same time, California Kitchen, which my veggie guest told me was excellent. Thanks to the staff - only slight improvement would be to offer this as soon as it becomes apparent.
What we did get food wise was, however, good in the end.
5 star breakfast and a vibrant atmosphere even at 8 am in the morning
Jack and the team were brilliant as usual - great service, great food and the meeting went well too!
Cold eggs and slimy salmon. Slow service and pretty expensive.
Always love this place, and the Hedgerow Fizz cocktail is divine. Just this time the service wasn't ideal - our waitress was clearly annoyed that we did not order big main courses and instead went for drinks and sides.
Food was sent back and taken off the bill. Meat not cooked to order.
Staff could have dealt with it better.
The experience has gone down hill.
Lovely venue, nice music on Saturday evening, cosy sitting. Service is very disappointing as well as the portion size.
We would have more appreciated if the music would not have been that loud.
A part from that professional team and good products.
Excellent evening out, drinks food and atmosphere were great.
The service was perfect in Millie’s Lounge, made it special.
Such an amazing experience at Millie's unlike any other I've experienced in London. Great food, great cocktails, great service, and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting London or living here!
Great service great food beautiful ambience
Wonderful place for afternoon tea. The food is delicious and they are generous with the portions. Service is always attentive and kind. Great place to take friends and visitors from out of town.
Lovely place but I always find the service very slow.
Always 5 stars and outstanding! The Ned is always my first choice in the City to meet up with friends and work colleagues.
They had live singers and the place isn't made for it acoustically so it was too loud. The banquette seating was too low for the table and my half lobster was anorexic! The french fries were hard and cold. The whole thing was unpleasant. Shame, because it was a beautiful room!
I ordered the steak medium rare, it was not even rare, blue at best. I mentioned it to the serving staff as I only ate a third of the steak. They apologized and offered me a dessert to make up for it. It was lunch time so dinner want a dessert and they refused to refund me for the steak even though they admit the steak was not as ordered.
I wont be returning.
Up to standard!
Lovely place and food was great
My girl friends and I wanted some where nice and a bit different for a catch up , the Ned was perfect !
With a live band playing in the back ground , the comfortable seating and relaxed yet elegant surrounds we had a lovely evening .
The menu was simple yet scrumptious , I can't fault it , highly recommend !
I am looking forward to trying out the other restaurants too but would certainly return to Millie's lounge .
The staff were very attentive, the food was amazing and everything was spot on. I told them about my allergies and they were great and understanding. I asked them to choose me cocktail and told them what I didnt like and they made a great choice.
Dear ZoeC, Thank you for your kind comments. We strive to ensure allergies are well accommodated and your experience is tailored to your preferences. Many thanks, Millie's Lounge
The Ned is an amazing experience and a must do for everyone! It’s perfect for any occasion. It’s 5* service and the food is delicious. Couldn’t recommend it more!!
Dear CurtisB, Thank you for your kind comments about our food and service. The experience you speak of really makes Millie's Lounge at The Ned stand out. We look forward to welcoming you back. Many thanks, Millie's Lounge
Service at the Ned is hit and miss. The staff are still learning what a 5 star hotel should feel like, attention to detail is poor.
Had afternoon tea - asked for one gluten free and one meat free. Was brought one plate of both gluten and meat free sandwiches and one that had both gluten and meat. They attempted three times to get it right - bringing various versions of the wrong order. Eventually got it right. Not the best afternoon tea in London for the price.
Amazing pancakes and crumpets for breakfast, in an iconic venue
Wonderful breakfast and beautiful setting
