We recently opened Misirizzi on 36 E 4th street.
Misirizzi is the Italian name for the roly poly toy, the toy that always rights itself when pushed over.
We know it's a funny name, but this is what we are.
Our dishes are always the result of the passion in trying new tastes of our great Italian tradition.
Starting from our memories to develop incredible nostalgic dishes.
All the pasta that we serve is home made, as in the best Italian grandmas' tradition.
Come and meet us, enjoy our food, wine or company, we want to make you feel part of our Authentic Italian Family

We had a very nice evening at Misirizzi. The restaurant has two different sections, one very different from the other, but equally welcoming. The food was really good, and the portions were a healthy size. It’s a very warm place, and service was awesome.
Great little Italian restaurant. Wonderful food, attentive service and fair prices.
We very much enjoyed our dinner. I appreciated our service, especially because we were a table of 8. My only complaint was the noise level. Due to another 12+ person table across from us, it was super loud! We had to scream to talk. I would go back for sure but in hopes of no large parties or perhaps request to sit in the front of the restaurant.
Dear Customer, I want to thank you for the nice review and remind you that we also have a beautiful private room, email us for more information. Hope to see you again soon Best Alessandro
Meatballs were not good and very underwhelmed with the cheese plate. Felt like the ingredients just were not quality.
That said their carbonara from their lunch menu was fantastic.
Delicious. Pasta portion was a bit small. More vegan options!
The staff was very nice. The food was good. Small place with nice ambience. I would recommend
Truly amazing food and great service
Great restaurant! It is s pleasure to dine there.
Everything was great! Service was great and food was amazing!
Calmar stuffed with shrimp and almonds as an appetizer were delicious. In the primi dishes, I had the flat pasta (i forgot the name) with red peppers , mushrooms and spicy sausage , unfortunately, it was so spicy that it took away any taste there could be.
My husband had the black linguini with shrimp and liked it.
Dined here and had a late lunch with my girlfriend. Service was half-asleep, drinks (spritzes) were so-so, but all three plates were prepared poorly. My piadina was cold inside and both mine and my girlfriend’s tasted like train food. No reason to go here with the local Italian alternatives.
Food was not very good. Meatballs were dry and chewy. Calamari was also chewy. My boyfriend’s pasta (forget name) looked like worms, but also the pasta was too dense and not flavored enough. I personally really liked my pasta dish (with lamb, mushrooms, and peppers). But otherwise, not the best food for a total of $160.
Sadly the new owner is awful in terms of creating the food of the last owner.
Best pasta I’ve had in a while. Black linguine with calamari and shrimp in lobster broth! Spectacular. Service was a great and prompt as well.
Delicious and innovative Italian cuisine. The restaurant feels intimate and authentic. Service was very attentive and friendly. Planning to go back soon!
Really impressed with the food - all our dishes were excellent! Only shortcoming was the back room got very loud as it filled up, just wish they would put some noise dampening elements in the there as we skedaddled as soon as we were done eating because it got so unpleasant. Highly recommend if you go at an unpopular hour!
Small, almost private and plaesant dining environment. Food was very good.
Hidden gem with surprisingly impressive food and service.
I went there because I read reviews about the beautiful ambience and delicious food. However, I didn’t find any. They gave us the table next to the main door. The food was over salty.. they should do better.
Great food; fantastic service. Lovely setting, three minute walk to The Public Theater.
Unique mix of flavors! Totally delightful! Portions were perfect!
We were seated immediately. Food was excellent. Prices were on par with what you’d expect in Manhattan. Portions were a little on the small side. Overall my family enjoyed our experience there
Went for Sunday lunch only because it was near the theater. Felt really lucky to have found it - we were early so there were few people. Service person could not have been nicer - met our off the menu requests with a smile and attitude of wanting us to have a good experience. The food was amazing - fresh, well made, well presented, different from most things I've had at other Italian restaurants. Highly recommend.
We love going here whenever we visit NYC. Small, intimate, very authentic Roman cuisine
Convenient for post public theater dininh
Our dinner date was on a Monday night, so it seemed they were a bit understaffed. The ambience and interior design were smart and sophisticated with distinctive and engaging touches. The food was very good. I had the shell steak and my wife had a special pasta. We were both impressed with the flavors and preparation of the dishes.
Went in for a friends’ get together/double birthday celebration. Was able to make a reservation last minute. Amazing food but the service was top notch. Our server was kind, quick, and generally outstanding. The ambiance is very home-like. Also I highly recommend the squid ink linguine.
Loved the food and the ambiance, but it was too quiet. We were only two tables and there was no background music, so it felt too silenr
Very attentive service and very good food
One of my favorites in the neighborhood. Low key but excellent food, quiet, always had good service. Good value for money. Perfect for an impromptu dinner with friends.
The food was excellent. The ambience is lovely. The service was courteous, warm and efficient. Lovely dining experience all around!
Food was extraordinary, the zucchini soup with prosciutto, the flaky branzino - all so well done. The wine was a good compliment, a Barbera D’alba. For desert, the chocolate cake, yum!
Service was just a good as the food and someone spared no detail when it came to the clever decor, dried flowers against a clean white background, with slate green doors. All senses are engaged here.
As you can tell, we loved it and will be back!
Like this if it was helpful - thanks...
We very much enjoyed our meal. Food was outstanding. It reminded us of a wonderful restaurant we went to last June in Florence, Italy.
Always delicious food. Quiet
Nothing bad, nothing special. Small dining area, felt a bit crowded
Second time eating here
It’s a nice, quiet place for Italian food
Great food. Great service. Reasonably priced. My th
Came here with a friend and ordered the calamari and two pasta entrees. The tortellini with butter and sage was really delicious, but the other pasta we got (had orange, pesto, pistachios) sounded great but was super bland. Drowned it with a ton of cheese and the sage butter sauce from the tortellini but it was a lost cause.
The stuffed calamari was unique. It tasted good but the texture was a bit off-putting.
We are at the bar and the space was cute and quiet. For such a spotty meal it was pretty expensive, but I’d probably go back for the tortellini and the cocktails (they were great!).
our first visit. very favorably impressed. great salad (portion was huge) and good pasta dish. Excellent wine selection. we will be back. very convenient to NY Theatre Workshop
