Cute tropical theme and fun cocktails. Food was really unique and delicious. Our server Andrew was awesome.
We booked a reservation at the restaurant and when we showed up they brought us to their event space in the back. It was literally a plastic fold out table with a party store table cloth and the set up and ambience was not at all what we knew of Miss Things. We joked it was like we were at a Bar-mitzvah. I could have written it off but pair that with a new server, a too cool bartender and mediocre signature dish it was a poor experience. They reached out to me through 3 modes of communication to confirm my reservation and not one mentioned it wouldn’t be seated in the actual restaurant so I wouldn’t go back here.
It smells from the toilet. First thing you notice when you enter, last thing you notice when you leave, and then the one thing you notice when you sit in the front. From our place we could directly watch the toilet doors, one was open for a long time and nobody cared about it... Staff is basically friendly but incapable of running the restaurant and nobody seems to really care or take charge. We ordered two drinks, we got one, then were asked to order only then we got the second drinks. We were told that one of the mains will take longer, so we ordered a starter. But then the mains were coming pretty quickly and actually before the starter. The starter (soy beans) were burned and the staff didn't even care. Food was okay, but missing the kick which made it special.
Cute spot to go to maybe more so for drinks. Service was great. Be warned place is small on the inside! The ambiance was good until they opened up the back room for a party and I was confused why it looked unfinished just had a purple glow on the bare walls. Foods was good. I had the pineapple fried rice and my friend had short rib loco moco portions were good. Drinks were cute lolol “picture worthy” Dessert didn’t sound that appealing so we went somewhere else for that. Overall I’d give them 3 and 1/2 out of 5!
Amazing bartenders! Great cocktail program! Nice rum selection :)
Was never made aware that we only had our table for less than 1 hour and 30 minutes, the whole thing felt rushed and we had to go to have drinks at bar nearby.. these things should be communicated in advance so guests can decided whether this works for their groups or not.
The front seating is cool but if you have a table of 5 or larger you will be escorted to the back, unfinished room and get perched in a weirdly high booth table or seated at a pull out cafeteria style table with an Hawaiian table cloth draped over it. Only one server for 1 large birthday party and 5 other tables of 6+, and although she tried her best, it was annoying to have the other 4 waitresses who brought out food say 'sorry i can't take that order' for both food and drinks. Food was good though and the servers were all polite. I could see the restaurant getting better overall.
We went on a Saturday night at 6:30 pm. They had sold out of half of their menu items the night before and not restocked. We were offered half of their regular menu (less than half for me as I don’t eat meat). Pretty poor customer service to not have the foresight to plan for Saturday night patrons.
It was a disappointing experience.
Very nice presentation and great ambience. Service was excruciatingly slow. Was good until 10:30 when the club music started BLASTING and we could no longer hold a conversation even outside of the club area.
Amazing tuna poke tacos
The food was great; I’m really glad they had vegan options since my friend is vegan. The service was nice and overall I have no complaints. They have great food presentation and a wide variety selection of drinks. This is my second time going and would definitely go back again.
Food and drinks taste great! Our server was friendly and recommended us some items to order.
Really fun cocktails! We wanted to try them all!
Lau Lau was very delicious; I didn’t order any drinks but a couple of my friends ordered multiple mojitos and Becky with the Good Hair. Beautiful interior and good service! Would definitely return if I am ever in the area again. Went around 8:30PM so the noise level was moderate, as there were many people seated.
have a nice decoration, nice staffs, good customer service. Food is good. I was sitting on the high chair with a high table that's not very comfortable, I prefer regular chair and table. Overall is good. Recommend.
A very cool vibe there. The waiter was great with one of the parties not drinking and still found fun things for us. Great experience. Will be back!
It’s lovely, plenty to look at and lots of cocktails to choose from, it’s fun and makes a great meeting place for a drink. The food was pretty good too! We had the short rib and the octopus, definitely preferred the short rib.
We love it!
Overall great food but drinks tasted a bit watered down with too much ice. Staff and everything else was perfect and would recommend going.
Great atmosphere and cocktails! I go here all the time.
This was the third time I’ve been here and I can say it was as good as the first time. This place is amazing from service , food and drinks. A must go for everyone!
They took my reso on open table, their kitchen was open, the security was so rude to me. it was embarrassing. I brought a date and we were brushed off without the smallest touch of customer service. Never going back ever.
Took a while to be greeted but cocktails are amazingly unique
Great food and cool atmosphere.
Did find it at times hard to talk over the music but all in all would definitely go back again.
We were not told that we had to leave by 8:30 until the next guests arrived. We wanted to stay longer drink more eat more. We felt like we were being kicked out.
The music was too loud we could not hear ourselves talk.
I took fried chicken and I liked it
Food and decor was amazing! They were able to take six of us with such short notice! Have to go here for drinks! Highly recommend
Great ambiance, nicely decorated interior, authentic cuisine, fun environment, friendly staff, prices are on the high side at approx $50/person
I always have an amazing time at Miss Things! The food is incredible. We get the pineapple fried rice with pork belly but we also tried the kaula bao this time (essentially bao with super tender shredded pork inside). The drinks come in cool cups and I’m a fan of Caribbean Queen which was served in a parrot cup (nice ginger beer flavour).
Great atmosphere, awesome service and yummy eats
Ordered the corn fritters, fried chicken, pineapple fried rice and had the pineapple upside cake for desert. The fritters were good but the fried chicken was extremely over cooked and dry and the pineapple fried rice was over cooked. The pineapple upside cake was delicious. Overall our server was attentive but due to a large party taking over the restaurant that night, the kitchen was backed up making the food come out extremely slow. But the kitchen and management still need to pay attention to the quality of food that’s going out to their customers. I was not satisfied with my dinner tonight.
