   As a Peruvian, the menu was an authentic version of Peruvian cuisine with a modern twist. Portion sizes were perfect and well balanced. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to try Peruvian cuisine without going to Peru:)) Well done.

   We visited Mistura while on vacation on a friend’s suggestion. The ambiance and service were outstanding and the food was simply fantastic. The Bistec a los Pobre was simply delicious, the steak was perfectly cooked and the rice base (I forget the name) was impressive. The cebiche, tallarines pasta and burrata salad were outstanding as well. Overall an A+!

   Best Peruvian restaurant in SLO county. Service is often a bit slow/disorganized, especially when you sit down it can sometimes take 10-20 mins to get to order. Food is nice and colorful! Ceviche is great, same with the crab tower thing, and the empanadas, and the pulpo, and lomo saltado. Cool design and ambiance, they also have good desserts and a chocolatier.

    What a terrific dining experience! Our server, Julia, was outstanding in all facets. The small plates were all memorable in their own ways, but the buratta with fresh beets and tomatoes was especially tasty. Our first time, but it won’t be the last!

    Best restaurant in town. Absolutely amazing! It's our favorite place to eat. My only complaint is the service is always slow; this has been the case way before Covid and after. We always book 2 hrs before we have to be anywhere due to this. You should not have to wait over 15 minutes to order a drink when there is only one other occupied table in restaurant. There were 3 servers standing around talking so not a staff shortage. Very disappointing but the food is what makes us come back.

    This was our 3rd visit to Mistura. The food does not disappoint!! Everything we ordered, from start to finish was absolutely delish!! The sushi rolls are outstanding! The appetizer, forgot the name, with yucca root, Ahi, avocado was soooo good. For main course we split the Lamb shank. It was exceptional, with all the spices and sauce! The desserts were to die for! So beautiful, picture perfect and mouth watering delish! The pastry chef explained what was in them and had to order 2. The pastry chef added another for us to try. Unbelievably good!! Can't say enough good things about this place! Would love the go there more often, but it's not that close to us, so we wait for special occasions and/or friends to visit to have them enjoy the experience with us.

    Mistura is a beautiful place to eat and drink. The restaurant is eye catching and wow. We ate outside and it was lovely with wonderful service, not too much yet there when we needed something. The food is an adventure and so fun and delicious! Can't wait to go back to try other items on the menu.

    This is a surprising mix of Peruvian spices and Asian cuisine. The tastes were distinctive and delicious! This place is for foodies for sure. A little pricey -- but definitely worth it if are in SLO for a special occasion and want to be happily surprised!

    The paella was delicious! The crisp was fresh and bright. We expected roasted potatoes for the appetizer, but it wasn’t too bad. Will return to try the other items on the menu.

    We were visiting my friend and choose this place for the “reunion”. Highly recommend it. We had several snacks, all of which were good. Sashimi was great. One struck us, we ordered two more - rack of lam chops! Delicious! I also ordered sea bass - one of the best I have ever had! Chef! Thank you! We bought the desert at the counter of a shop at the restaurant - Dolce De Leche, if I recall it correctly. You have to try it! Overall, it is more of Italian than Peruvian cuisine, but certainly with an interesting twist!

    Mistura is a treat for all the senses - it's tucked on the far end of Higuera street and maintains a low profile from the outside - we were struck immediately by the gorgeous interior, specifically the beautiful wall with all the green moss and different plants. The dessert display is nothing short of pure art - it was almost too hard to eat any that we chose, they were so beautiful! But they tasted as amazing as they looked. The starters we chose were all so different and bursting with flavor, the fish was so incredibly fresh and the pairings with various vegetables were well done. The main courses we tried, both fish and red meat, were delectable and generous portions. Their cocktails were also quite fun and creative and the coffee was soooo good. We had amazing service to top it all off. We are so bummed we only learned of Mistura in our last bit of time in SLO, but very thankful we had the opportunity to celebrate our son's graduation with brunch at Mistura!

    Celebrated our daughter’s Cal Poly graduation this past Saturday. Food was awesome. We were fortunate to snag 2 of 4 outdoor patio tables for our party of 6. While I had made rsvp months ago, the rsvp does not apply to the patio. We arrived before 5 and there was availability. Food and service were excellent, definitely recommend!

    Made a reservation here to celebrate son’s graduation. Saw it got good reviews and they were able to take a reservation for a large party (11). Unbeknownst to us they were only serving a limited “graduation” menu. Our party had 3 children and the menu in general offers very few kid friendly dishes, but the limited menu offered next to nothing. Our waiter was clueless as to what we might order for the kids. Drink order took way too long to get to table and came in two waves about 8 minutes apart - of course non-alcoholic drinks for the kids arrived last. Appetizers and entrees were all quite good - to be clear, the food was excellent. It’s the service that is lacking. One in our party ordered a rice dish with chicken and waiter apparently forget to have the chicken added. The rice dish was about inky thing close to kid-friendly. We all wanted to eat together but it took another 10+ minutes to get the chicken out … and when it arrived, it was raw and had to be sent back. Over cooked chicken finally arrived another 15 minutes later, but by that time everyone else had finished their meals and this diner’s experience was ruined. The charge for the chicken was removed and a small complimentary dessert was provided, but one meander in our party left hungry. Other reviewers have also commented on the lacking service. Management needs to pay attention to those reviews.

    Hope you don’t get sat at the forgotten table. Food was incredible but….. Very poor service. Table of 6. 2 people served, they ate. Then 1 more, 2 more and 5 were done eating, had to wait for the 6th person to receive their meal. Drinks ordered, waited 30 min to receive. Loved the food, the dining together experience was not met. I was embarrassed hosting our guests..watching everyone else eat . Having to keep asking for drinks and our food .

    Be sure to get the Pisco Sour the bartender is an artist. The food was top notch but the service was a little lack luster. All in all a gem of wonderful Peruvian food.

    The ambience was great as usual … tried the paella this time and it did not have as much fish as expected and the rice was a bit dry. Luckily our guests who chose other entrees really enjoyed their first visit.
