Amazing food and fantastic service. The staff were all fantastic and I would definitely recommend. My Fiance and I will be returning again soon I am sure!
By far the best restaurant in Aylesbury, every time we go the food is incredible! Personal favourites is the scallop roll and prawn tempura. Friendly attentive waiter / waitresses.
Top quality food Japanese!! couldn’t fault it all and great venue, albeit a bit of a random location, would go back time and time again for sure. You pay for what you get, great venue and fab service
Would like to be given a little more time on each course and not felt that the waiter/waitress needed to remove our plates. I did ask for a rest between starters and mains which they did willingly do. However, had a beautiful meal and food as wonderful as ever.
A super first visit! Gorgeous dining rooms. We ate in the spacious, airy main room upstairs. Such a lovely space to spend time in. All the team members we met were super friendly and welcoming. Kind of felt like a family vibe.
The food was YUM! Crispy gyoza to start and then miso teriyaki salmon that was so delicious it was all I could do to not lick the plate! Oh and fab cocktails too!!
Will be back soon! Thank you for creating such a lovely place!
Very nice food, beautifully prepared and presented. Restaurant lacks atmosphere. Fairly loud pop music, not Japanese music.
We always have incredible food, easily my favourite place to eat in the UK.
First visit to Miya and the food was truly fabulous - everything we had including options for vegetarians was excellent. Only given a 4 star for service as there was only one person on front of house / bar and this led to some delay in ordering but that was more for the business rather than the individual member of staff who was engaging and helpful albeit very busy! Ambience was excellent and the setting lovely. Will certainly be returning more than once if they keep up that standard of food!
The best sushi that my husband and I have ever had! Fantastic evening
Disappointed. I'd pre-booked asking for a celebratory feel, there was no recognition of this at any time. 2 of the party had the duck, however it was not rendered and thus fatty and left. The pudding was great we had the sharing platter however not many Japanese elements though. I will not be returning, for the price it was not worth it
Excellent night out. Great food and venue. A pleasant change from regular pub and restaurant fayre
Great food, great service, good sized portions. Just a little chilly for us.
Amazing place for food! I felt like the food was a little overpriced for what it is but was amazing! The service was incredible, very attentive and quick! When we walked in and were waiting to be seated, the greeting we got from the lady behind the bar wasn’t very friendly and was quite off putting but when we got upstairs that was redeemed! Very pretty and a lovely experience.
Came here for sons 18th birthday meal
Lovely atmosphere , food amazing and overall experience excellent
Music levels was good and would definitely recommend.
Beautiful food, the sushi was outstanding. Good service and nice atmosphere.
My partner and I both ended ill after having dinner at Miya. We ordered Katsu curry which was flavourless and the Amai duck was very average. Had to wait 30 mins to get someone's attention for the bill. Not worth spending the money.
A lovely evening, food was lovely and service friendly and efficient
Helpful and friendly staff guiding us on food choices. Restaurant feels comfortable, safe with an air of decadence as it’s beautifully decorated
The food was incredible, the service was amazing. Slightly pricey for the amount you get but the quality of the food is very good. Nice cocktails
Not as good as our previous visit. Service wasn’t great- trainee being shadowed by a manager- who was very good at avoiding eye contact.
Just the most amazing food, so difficult to choose what to have as you want it all! Staff are attentive and friendly and the decor is beautiful.
Lovely food, lovely atmosphere, service great! Highly recommend. Lots of choice if you’ve never tried Japanese before.
Food very tasty and looked great . Staff good and attentive but it wasn’t overly busy . Good place to meet with friends but it did mean it was quite noisy on the night we visited with a girls night out birthday party in progress
Very good quality food. Could do with more variety on the menu asides sushi. But very good restaurants and great ambience and service.
Food was incredible
Nice Japanese restaurant run by independent owner.
Starter and main dish amazing… for the dessert we had crepes with ice cream and we were expecting something home made, instead we had American pancakes bought from Tesco or some similar shop and didn’t like it at all!
Even though we made the order on the beginning for starter, main and dessert, we have waited probably more than an hour for the dessert after we finished with the main course!
Also we had a booking yesterday for 7:45pm and we arrived in time, waited at the entrance for 10 mins and no one came to say anything, after those minutes 1 member of stuff came to us to say to wait a bit longer as our table is still busy with other people 👀
I mean, really??
Not a good service at all!
3 stars is more than we have experienced!
So after reading a lot of reviews about how the service is not good in miya, i finally went there Saturday evening with my other half. So here is honest review. The service from the staff was very good. They kept coming and asking if everything was alright and made sure that we were ok. The best part of miya is the food is so damn delicious. I had delicious food in a restaurant after a very long time in a restaurant. It was better than food i ate in restaurants in mayfair, london. We had duck and mango california rolls, king prawns tempura, chicken gyoza and salmon nigiri for starter. The duck and mango rolls were so damn delicious so was the gyoza and salmon nigiri. The king prawn tempura, i found it ok, nothing special than any other tempura. For the main we had lamb cutlet and sea bass that came with egg fried rice. Both lamb and sea bas was very delicious. Egg fried rice was alright. For dessert we shouldn't have ordered sharing dessert platter but we did and it was so massive dessert selection for two of us. We ended up bringing half the dessert in home. For me the dessert wasn't very flavourful. I found them just ok. So from now on whenever i go there i won't be ordering any desserts. Just starters and main which are super delicious. I'm already looking forward to going back there and eating more delicacies in their because miya's food is absolutely delicious.
Went for late lunch very friendly staff and excellent service and food
Good food, skip the deserts - not what you expect.
Absolutely loved my birthday meal at Miya, they never fail to produce great food and staff are very friendly. Can’t wait to go back.
Sushi rolls taste and look better from any supermarket.
Grilled Fish for kids is so dry fork can’t go in.
Food, service and the venue was great. However they shut at 3pm which we didn’t know. We booked our table for 2pm which doesn’t give you much time. This wasn’t down to the venue as we booked through a third party website which didn’t give us that information otherwise we would have booked earlier.
Miya isn't just the best restaurant we've been to in the Aylesbury area, it's up there with one of the best restaurants we've ever visited. It more than rivals the superb restaurants found in the heart of London – from its food, to its welcome, decor, ambience and staff – yet has the comfort and familiarity of a local pub. Everything tastes incredible. It's all cooked fresh and the clean presentation, right down to the choice of crockery, makes Miya an experience like no other.
Service was amazing, all the staff were so friendly and the food we ordered came promptly and was delicious!
Food was absolutely gorgeous and the choice is excellent. A very reasonable price too.
Delicious food, sushi and sashimi was great quality. Friendly and attentive service. Will definitely keep coming back!
Amazing restaurant and staff is just lovely! One of my favourite places, can’t wait to go back!
Amazing food and great service! Such a beautiful building and perfect for a special occasion.
Restaurant was accommodating; provided us with a highchair that we requested in advance. They requested for all adult diners to check in on the COVID-19 app which gave some comfort that any cases that is known by the restaurant will be known by their visitors. Food was great and was brought to us in good time.
