The focus is on fresh, authentic food with dishes made every day from scratch.
Ideal venue to meet a friend for a quick lunch or come and enjoy our pre-theater menu with wines.
Fast service and delicious food. A good no frills option before the theatre.
We had a disappointing dinner here. The waitress got the order wrong and belatedly offered to substitute for the right one but we felt that would cause delay so pressed on. The food was overpriced for what it was. The vietnamese coffee was tiny and not very good but quite expensive at £3.50. The restaurant awarded themselves 12.5 % service charge on top which isn't at all merited. Will not be returning anytime soon.
Very quick and efficient service. Tasty healthy fresh food
Pre-theatre meal. Had a very tasty slow braised beef pho. All my family enjoyed what they ordered and thought it tasted very authentic. The service was prompt and business like, though not overly friendly. The ambience was non-descript, bit warm and cramped, being in a unit under the arches. Handy though for the Playhouse Theatre and food very good standard.
Food was really tasty and a great price for quality.
The tables are incredibly tightly packed - understand why as the footprint is so small all a bit too close. However the food is great and we really enjoyed ourselves. Would definitely come back
Great food, wine slightly overpriced
More like a cafe than a restaurant but it was the first time for us eating Vietnamese and it was very good.
Posto fantastico, il cibo e’ veramente buono e il sevizio e veloce e cortese
Wonderful food, only minor complaint is that we were practically chased out the door! Will definitely go back though.
Great food and great prices!
Very disappointed with Moc Kitchen. We had the pre-theatre menu. The two types of spring roll we had to start were unremarkable. My main of chicken with lemon grass noodles was edible but the chicken was overwhelmed by the huge mound of bean sprouts and noodles. The only flavour came from a scattering of chilli. My friend couldn't eat her aubergine clay pot with prawn. It was in a horrible dark gloopy sauce and not at all the fresh kind of dish we associate with Vietnamese cooking.
Very enjoyable meal, in an excellent location with great atmosphere and incredible service.
This small restaurant is perfect for double dates or catching up with a small group of friends.
Small and intimate, located in The Arches down by Charing Cross, this is a very good place for Vietnamese street food. Menu is varied and dishes are very tasty. Soups are deicious but my favourite main remains the grilled “cha ca” fish.
This was our first visit to the small and intimate Moc Kitchen. The food and service were both excellent and we want to return soon!
The service was excellent and the food was fresh and very well prepared and well presented. A very good lunch / dinner venue without any fuss.
This is our third visit to Moc, so we are obviously happy with place. The food is tasty and very reasonably priced for the theatre district. The lunchtime menu is especially good value.
Booking is essential as the restaurant is tiny and fills up quickly.
Excellent food and service. Great value for money. Ventilation could be improved, but otherwise a good place to go for pre-theatre as the food and service were quick
Close to stations and Theatre venue so ideal spot for dinner. Set menus good value and portion sizes good, food fresh and great veggie options for hubby (tofu etc) Tasty, cosy warm and buzzy. Forbidden black rice in warm coconut milk desert was YUM! Book to avoid disappointment
Great place to eat, good food and service. The place has a real buzz.
Good value. Service very friendly. Food good but not outstanding. Suitable for quick bite but not for special occasions.
Really lovely restaurant tucked under the Arches off Villiers st. The service was lovely and friendly. I has the grilled Cha Ca fish, which was beautiful, and my wife had done grilled beef that was perfectly cooked. Would definitely visit again.
Nice food and service but a bit cold because of a draft
Such an excellent little find. Stunning fresh food, friendly service and great drinks. We will be rushing back
I chose from the lunchtime menu which is a cut-down version of the theatre menu. The food was tasty and filling. This was my second visit to Moc as I had enjoyed my previous visit.
I would recommend Moc, especially the lunchtime menu which is very good value for this part of London. Booking is essential as the restaurant was full, even on a weekday lunchtime.
Lovely pretheatre meal. Good value and lovely service. Cocktail was yummy.
Arrived at 6pm.
At 6.40pm the waiter asked us if we could leave as there were other people queuing for a table.
So rude! We were still drinking our wine.
He then brought us the bill with 12.5% service already added!
Food very mediocre.
Delicious noodles and lovely service, thank you very much.
Went here for a pretheatre dinner with my daughter, ideally situated, 2 minutes from charring cross station and a stones throw from the Playhouse theatre. Authentic delicious Vietnamese food served by a courteous and knowledgeable waiter. Will definitely be back.
The pre-theatre menu is good value. We enjoyed the Salt &Pepper Aubergine starter, and the mains were tasty and good-sized portions. The restaurant is tiny, so it gets cosy with your neighbours. There were regulars eating here the night we visited which is a good sign. Staff friendly and helpful. Be aware of the 12.5% service charge. We would recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food, drinks and great value for money. Will definitely be coming back
Front door cracked open so cooks cigarette break smoke pours in front door into dining tables. Waitress has no knowledge or menu. Drinks came after food. Hands down worse experience ever.
Great food and venue... will definitely return
Value for money place. Quite some yummy food.
If your looking for a small atmospheric and lively place to eat then this is perfect, the food here is delicious.
We had a delicious dinner before going to a show at the Charing Cross Theatre. Great service and food tasty and light!
Food and service very good. But the restaurant was like an oven - all the heat from the kitchen appeared to land on diners and there was no airflow.
Intimate, friendly, excellent food. Great place to eat alone
Pleasant, unassuming Vietnamese restaurant, with good food and very pleasant (fast) service. Perfect for pre-theatre meal.
In an area of overpriced hotel restaurants and tourist traps, this Charing Cross Vietnamese place shines for its authentic flavours and reasonable prices. The aubergine hot pot was outstanding, and other dishes were pleasing to former visitors to Hanoi.
