Momo Restaurant

I made a reservation to have a afternoon tea here but due to the Covid-19 outbreak they had a restricted menu. While I completely understand why they had to do this, it was still a little disappointing. My friend and I ended up getting a tea and some desserts which were amazing and the staff were so grateful. I would highly recommend coming here again once things go back to normal.

It was a good, nice evening out. Service was personal, yet some how the staff seemed a bit preoccupied with themselves. Still I would be glad to come again and to recommend it to others. The downstairs bar is a definite treat, with lovely decor and ambiance and good cocktails. Could be a destination in its own right.

Friendly polite staff who were very helpful. Lots choices in regards to the dishes available. The food was amazing & full of layered flavours Cool decor & great ambience. I had a friend visiting london for his B’day & took him & his daughter We all impressed, happy & full.

There was amazing service and fantastic vibes. Really made the birthday celebration a memorable one. Thank you very much.

Delicious Moroccan food in London, would definitely recommend. The design of the restaurant makes us believe that we are spending a night in Marakkesh is, that incredible !

The food was good. However, the booking slots are for 2 hours after which time we had only just finished our meals. As a result we felt we were put under pressure to leave immediately after the plates had been cleared. In view of this, it was not a completely satisfactory experience.

I really enjoyed this place that it is like taking a dive in North Africa, a true Moroccan.
The only thing that I was a bit disappointed, it is that they overlooked the fact that it was a birthday dinner and when we order the desserts, they did not even bother to come along with a candle.
I guess because they were busy, but still considering that it is an expenses place - around £ 50-60 per person - I would have expected to be looked after a bit better.

Service felt very rushed and borderline rude. Food was absolutely amazing. Wallet was stolen in coat check. It's been a couple years since we had been, and the service and atmosphere has changed for the worse. Having a wallet stolen while other employees walked around with jackets distracting people, another employee went through our jackets and tried to sneak out the door. Didn't notice it was missing until we got home.

We loved MOMO!!! Our server, Paul, was so wonderful and set such a lovely tone for the evening. The food was delicious and ambiance is so nice!

The food was extremely poor. From the quality of the ingredients and the layout and portions. You can tell the establishment are buying cheap. The service lacked quality and attentiveness. Overall a very bad experience with my partner who’s food tasted stale and sour.

We went to Momo a few years back, food was delicious, ambience was amazing and was an all round 5 star experience. So we decided to go there again on our 20 year anniversary. It was extremely disappointing in comparison. Food was SO salty, wine servings were small considering the price, shisha lounge was an hours wait. We told the waiter and he said he would feedback to the chef but we spent £109 on one main meal each and 3 glasses of wine, no starter, no desert. So I doubt we will be going back there again! My tagine was salty and my husband's beef tagine was tasteless. The patatas bravas were essentially very salty home made chips and the bread and olives we ordered were such small portions it was gone within seconds. We wouldn't have minded paying if the food was decent but unfortunately we were left very disappointed. Also the tables were so tightly packed we could hardly hear each other. a bit of a rubbish way to maximise profits on valentines weekend, would be better to take less people and have a better dining experience!

The food was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. Fantastic ambience, beautifully decorated.

I loved the concept and the cuisine. The food is outstanding, the service is very good. I either accidentally picked the winners from the menu, or the food on offer is outstanding in all its variety. The internal decoration is really engrossing, unfortunately the tables are simply too close too each other and the place is crammed when busy.

The food was lovely but the service was shockingly bad and chaotic. We received many wrong dishes, had to keep asking for things again and again and had pita bread served to us after dessert in error! There seems to be too much emphasis on the birthday celebrations and cakes than on the service. Unfortunately despite the good food we won’t dine there again.

Delicious food, great service from the staff, made special arrangements for a birthday.

The service was extremely slow which spoilt the whole experience. We got a discount on our bill as a result of the slow service hence 3 stars.

My wife & I took my parents and we were all very impressed with the selection of sandwiches and sweet treats. We were there for over two hours and only ended up rushing to leave as we had theatre reservations. The staff were very attentive & accommodating and even boxed-up our final cake course for us to take with us. It felt like a special treat and we'll be returning at the next opportunity! Thank you.

We went on a Sunday, and Dinner commenced at 6.30pm and they will not allow you in before this time. The member of staff who came to the door was less than polite - so much so that we went in search of an alternative restaurant.
However, my partner is very fond of this restaurant so we stuck with it. The maitre d’ was very pleasant and helpful with menu choices and the food was very enjoyable - the chicken liver starter was fantastic and the lamb tagine was excellent.

It was my first time at momo's restaurant and I just loved it !
I loved it because the food was excellent, the atmosphere amazing and the staff is wonderful, they make you feel at home and they are nice and very good in advice.

Unfortunately I did not read the ‘small’ print!....my fault.

Had booked what I thought was dinner for two at 4.00pm.
Was shown to the bar at 3.30, and ordered two Prosecco.
At 4.00, we were shown to our table and handed the menus, which included full A la carte selections, great!
So far, so good.

We were then advised that they were only serving afternoon tea at that time!
Total surprise to us, but had to leave as we were hungry and needed dinner.
The manager apologised, was gracious, and explained this was not the first time this had occurred.
He did not charge us for the Prosecco.

Ok, so read the small print you say, and you’d be correct, but I’d argue that when booking to dine at 4.00, the website should make it clear in large print that only afternoon tea would be available.

Notwithstanding all the above, we will return, after first carefully checking the booking.

Very good food in a super cozy place! The waiters are very professional and made it a pleasant evening.

The food was amazing. The only thing is it's very expensive, quite frankly due to the atmosphere and the quality of the food. Get ready to spend easily £50 above. But, trust me it's all worth it for a special night!

Love this place, the couscous it’s a best and the service it was very great
