Booked Monmouth Kitchen at the last minute, impressed with service and Ambiance, food was lovely and staff attentive.
Italian and Peruvian on the same menu sounds a bit strange however it really worked. We loved the fact that we could order lots of dishes as the portions were small so we got to try lots of different things.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is great.
It is pricey however the quality of the food is good. This was the perfect way for us to end a great family day out.
Not value for money
Extremely small portions
Delicious food, albeit plates were small. We'd definitely go back again but we'll be ready to order a couple more dishes!
We needed somewhere good and convenient to the theatre for a small family celebration after the matinee.
It was just what we wanted. Hope we can return!
The Monmouth kitchen never fails to impress, service, food and wine list are all superb which is why its my go to lunch place in town at present. I honestly have nothing bad to say. The sliders and the calamari are a must. Have fun and enjoy
Incredible food and service. Staff were very friendly and hardworking.
Interesting and unusual mixture of Italian and Peruvian cuisine, very good service and reasonable prices. Very noisy!
The food was surprisingly good. Everything we ate as well prepared and well presented. The service was very friendly and attentive. Although the music was great, we found it a bit loud but our friendly waiter offered to ask the dj (yes, there was one there) to turn it a level down.
A brilliant meal in Monmouth Kitchen - we called in for pre theatre dinner but ordered off a la Carte as it had so much more choice. Service was exceptionally good, really helpful, made recommendations, great care! Food was fabulous - such great flavours. Will definitely return.
Lunch set menu before afternoon theatre show. Nice atmosphere, greet food, friendly staff.
Lovely meal with our daughters.Delicious food.
Sfeervolle plek met heerlijk, gezond en origineel eten
On vacation with the kids we went to the Monmouth Kitchen after seeing a show. The neighbourhood was lovely. The staff was attentive and helpful with the diverse menu, particularly Stan. The food was excellent with interesting dishes we hadn’t tried before. Sharing lots of little dishes allowed us to try a lot of the menu. Definitely recommended.
Lovely meal its quite noisy but very good and fun atmosphere. Food was lovely small tapas like dishes, service was very good, both servers explained the menu and advised what dishes would suit our taste. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back
We took a chance on this restaurant as neither of us had heard anything about it. Now we know why ; it’s a best kept secret. The staff were friendly (and good looking) the ambience buzzing and the food sublime.
We chose the Peruvian options and were not disappointed for the food was fabulous. Service was fast and efficient and always with a smile. We will be back and will be recommending to everyone.
This was my 3rd visit but the first time with a big party of 10 people! The staff were very friendly, accommodating and fast. The food was delicious as always!
Very friendly and helpful service. Aperitif delicious, food good but not outstanding and very small plates. Don't go there if you're hungry. We also found that the selection is very odd and that the plates we choose really didnt go with each other. So next time we'll stick to either Italian (best dish was the nduja pizza) or peruvian items.
We went to Monmouth Kitchen to celebrate my 51st birthday prior to seeing the musical Matilda! Delightful food and attentive service. We could share plates and the desserts were yummy!
Lovely afternoon tea with great flavours combinations, very beautifully presented. Friendly and Attentive customer service in a great setting.
Lovely ambience. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very flavourful!
Fantastic food. Every dish was outstanding and a wide choice of interesting options to choose from.
Great food and lovely ambience. I took an old friend and we both loved it
Great tapas for pre theater in a fabulous little neighborhood called Seven Dials.
Great restaurant in a fantastic location and the shared plates were delicious. Stan, our waiter, was exceptional and very attentive. Would definitely recommend there!
Went there with a friend. I got there first and was asked if I wanted a drink I asked for some tap water whilst I was waiting and I didn’t get it at all. We had to ask again when the food came. Then when we were done with the mains no one came to ask us if we wanted dessert, again we had to ask for a menu. When we ordered some drinks they came after the majority of the food, which i didn’t understand, surely it’s faster to make a drink than to cook lamb chops, ceviche and a salad?
The restaurant is nicely decorated, the food tasty. The service not what I expected for the place, waiters nice and friendly but not attentive. Also, £90 for two people with two drink shared a dessert and 4 dishes is expensive
Cannot recommend Monmouth Kitchen enough. The service was flawless from start to finish, such knowledgable staff who were perfectly attentive to our group. Each dish was so fresh and delicious, there was nothing we did not like! The menu is so varied and catered to every dietary requirement we had. Seriously impressed - a must visit.
Fantastic food, service and venue. The desserts are to die for!
Once again Monmouth Kitchen never failed to disappoint. I previously had dined there a few weeks ago for a friends birthday and I instantly fell in love, now I’m bringing everyone I know to this place and yesterday was mum LOL. The whole concept, atmosphere and value for money is just amazing you cannot go wrong. Can’t wait to keep returning !! Xo
Sidenote: I only took 3 photos cause I was too busy eating everything 🤣😂 sorry not sorry
Fantastic evening with friends; great food and wonderful staff!
The portions are very small, especially the tacos are way too small. Not worth the money.
Great tasting food, looks good too. Plenty of variety.
A lovely pre-theatre meal - service was welcoming and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very relaxed and calm. The menu choice is perfect as was the quality of the food we were served. The staff were all attentive and very professional. Have already recommended the Monmouth Kitchen to friends! We will definitely be booking again.
Great food, great service. Strongly recommended.
Loved everything, will definitely come here again. Loved the tiniest tacos ever scallop ceviches.
Service was fantastic. This was booked for pre theatre. Our reservations were at 1800 but we were running extremely late (arrived at 1820) yet the table was still held for us considering how busy it was. We sampled most things off the a la carte menu.
The staff were attentive to our needs and all our food was served to us before 1900, so we were able to make our show with time to spare.
Another positive for the service was when we pointed out to the waiter that one of dishes had a small hair on it, they removed the dish from the table and bill as well as presenting us with a freshly cooked dish off the menu, on the house. Were it not for time, we would have accepted and eaten this.
My only criticism of the food was the tapas portion sizes were very small given the price. However, it tasted great, especially the tomato ceviche and robata aubergine.
Will definitely go again. I like the idea of mixing Italian and Peruvian cuisine on the menu.
We selected this restaurant out of a number in the area, as it seemed a bit different from the rest. We wanted a pre-theatre meal, as we had tickets for a local venue. The idea of Peruvian and Italian 'tapas' was intriguing. We enjoyed all the food, although we felt we had to order more than the 4 plates recommended by the waiter. Maybe we were too hungry for the type of food on offer!
The dishes are tiny don't believe me the price range
Great for dinner with friends or a date. Everything is made to share. All dishes I had were incredibly flavorful. Many vegetarian options. Still dreaming about the salad I had.
Delicious food and great service. On the pricey side but food is worth it!
