Very good food and friendly service. A bit pricey. Rather a characterless place. Hard to find as address is mercer Street but entrance is on Monmouth street.
Lovely place, great food, great offer and really friendly staff. we very munch enjoyed our lunch with friends!
We had two breakfast meals and one diner. The food was great the staff were amazing ,so helpful nothing was to much trouble even though it was busy the staff took time out to talk to us. It was my wife's birthday on Sunday 1st Dec so we had breakfast on that morning almost every member of the staff came over and wished her happy birthday and they gave her a cake selection to eat. The diner we had on the Saturday was really nice there were five of us so we had a mixture of the dishes and we all really enjoyed the food every single dish was cooked to perfection, lamb sliders soo nice . The restaurant has got a great layout its just so different from a normal hotel restaurant big windows so you still feel connected to the outside world. When we checked out we went back into the restaurant to thank every member of staff we could see. Amazing food wonderful staff.
good ambience, food was average in my opinion. pricey for the portion
Cool cocktail / tapas style place - good for a date or a friends chill. Portions are small (tapas) so be aware. Drinks are decent.
Good food and we'll presented but too heavy on the citrus juices in the dressings.
Portions were not generous.
Not prepared for the loud live music so found that intrusive and it made conversation difficult.
You need to prompt the staff you have theatre tickets and to get a jog on with the bill. Food v tasty, staff very good otherwise. Although we were seated in a corner like we were social housing in a plush inner city new build.
Really great service. We had to rush as we had the theatre and they made sure everything was out on time and even brought a happy birthday dessert for my boyfriend. Great service and delish food. Good pre theatre choice.
Great food, friendly helpful staff, hip and vibrant atmosphere. Definitely will return.
Absolutely delighted with our visit - the food was incredibly fresh and full of flavours, prepared with love and attention to detail. Each dish was beautifully presented and showcased the ingredients perfectly. My only criticism is that the music was loud and that meant it wasn’t always easy to hear conversation around the table ...
A welcoming, friendly atmosphere, with attentive and professional staff who are happy to explain the Peruvian/Italian meals and the approach -- with each very tasty dish arriving as soon as it is ready. Each dish is perfect for sharing, and the flavours pack a punch. Highly recommend the striped sea bass and the ribs.
What a fantastic experience, the service was faultless and the food was next level. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice meal out at a reasonable price.
Superb food on the lunchtime fixed price menu with decent wine at a reasonable price. Helpful and friendly service and very accommodating as we were one extra in our party to the booking.
Ive been here too many times to know that this was a rare "off day". We waited over 30 mins before our order was taken . The waiting staff had vanished after we were seated. Drinks ordered to start arrived with the second course, the wine even later. Items ordered failed to materialise. Oh dear and I had brought 2 friends on the premise that this place was superb. It was only when the evening staff arrived that things began to be the normal superb restaurant that the Monmouth Kitchen is. BTW the food, was as ever, fantastic.
We've really enjoyed your dinner over here . The ambiance is modern en trendy, the service was great, even so we had a late late dinner at 10:00 p.m. The food was really outstanding. We would certainly recommend this place.
Great service and variety of options. Good value for money as well.
Very average / poor food - no indication on the menus on what is cold and warm, we took the recommendations from the staff, however most of these were cold dishes that tasted the same e.g Tacos Chicken/ Tacos scallops, basic salad, basic cooking and expensive for what it is....
great food and nice place. Service wasn't quite as quick as I would have wanted but it was OK and very friendly. Good location. Some really great dishes and some lovely desserts.
Attentive staff , well presented and cooked food , would book again
We loved the mixture of Peruvian and Italian small plates. The wine was delicious and the service attentive, but unobtrusive. We’ll be back!
Highlight of this experience was definitely the staff - so attentive and friendly, and each of them said happy birthday to my mum which was really lovely! Food was great value and really delicious. Great ambience with a DJ playing some nice chilled house music. Prosecco was a little expensive and bumped up our pre theatre meal quite a lot! Other than that, would definitely recommend.
Great vibe and atmosphere but food was disappointing. Thought it would be breathtakingly delicious but it was pretty average - tuna tacos, burrata and ravioli quite nice, but avocado corn salad very average, and aubergine too.
Another wonderful meal. It has never failed to delight. Great food, staff and ambience. From Melissa’s lovely welcome another perfect pre theatre experience. We will be back,
Second time here and the food is always delicious. Nice dj muisic a bit. Too loud for some but I get it
Loved the food and service but the music was too loud! We could not hear ourselves talk!
Great food, lovely atmosphere and ambience. Staff very attentive, welcoming and informative. Good service and delivery of food. Shame we couldn't have the theatre menu on a Saturday
Four of us met for a lazy Saturday lunch. We all ordered a couple of plates each to start with, that we all shared. The food was excellent and created that lovely buzz of conversation and excitment that you get with great Tapas and other sharing foods. As meat lovers the Signature smoked lamb cutlets and the Sliced beef tenderloin anticucho both deserved the second round of orders they received, though I also really enjoyed the Sea Bass ceviche and Robata corn on the cob. After the third round of orders we were all pleasantly full.
Like the A La Carte menu, we tried a few diferent bottles from the wine list, and like the A La Carte menu you can't really go wrong with any of the choices.
The service was excellent throughout.
Very nice, unusual combination of foods. Thoroughly enjoyed. Good service with a smile. Will go again
Excellent food; service was impeccable. A great place for an evening with friends.
Professional, attentive service. Food was interesting and very tasty with an adequate selection. The cocktails a little different which made a nice change. Love the idea of sharing different plates of food.
Great food, excellent service by Stan.
Hard to find as its not where the address says it is - we were about to abandon it as a spoof till we waked passed it
Was an amazing evening
Great food and atmosphere
Thank you
We’ll come back again for sure
Excellent food and good, friendly service. Bit noisy at times but overall a great place to go and I’ll definitely return.
My husband and I were in London on vacation from California and enjoyed a wonderful
post-theatre meal at this trendy but relaxed venue. The small plates were inventive and delicious,
the service attentive and well-informed without being cloying, and the cost a good value for the quality delivered. The D.J. 's music was a tad loud for our taste, but since we were the oldest couple in the room,
our preference re noise-level would not be shared by most diners.
Outstanding service and food was absolutely superb highly recommended
A little pricey but worth it. The ribs and the ravioli exceptional!
The food was exceptionally tasty. We shared a number of plates and they were all very good. Only criticism is that the desserts were all extremely creamy -not good if you don't like cream. The wine list had a good selection and that staff came across as genuinely friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that we did not get the cocktail advertised in the restaurant festival deal and booked and confirmed via the open table as our waiter knew nothing about it but overall we had a very good experience and liked that we were not rushed off the table as is often the case in London restaurants. We went at lunchtime and four plates each was perfect for lunch
Great food, service was a bit late sometimes to fill wine etc.
So delicious!
Nice atmosphere and the food was good. However portion sizes quite small for the price.
