Very disappointing restaurant. Food was very poor quality and badly cooked. The burgers were terribly over cooked, the tanine wasn’t. The service was very, very slow and they for our orders wrong when they finally came.

We booked Moreish as we had been previously on a Sunday and had the most wonderful Sunday Buffet . When we turned up yesterday we were just given a menu to book a la carte which was a huge disappointment. We were offered water but although apparently we were offered the wine menu no-one on the table heard this and so we were waiting to be offered this all through lunch . Unlike previous times the restaurant was very quiet and although service was excellent it was a very different experience. . My roast beef was an excellent cut but no green vegetables to be seen only parsnips , cauliflower and carrots. My husband's chicken a very small portion. t was my husband''s birthday and they bought out a beautiful dessert for him which was very kind, but my one took at least ten minutes to arrive later which was strange. Overall a little disappointing and we will just hope for the return of the buffet.

We booked a 12:30 Sunday lunch reservation not knowing that’s when they opened for lunch. The host seated us, fixed our drinks and took our food order because he was the only one there. The wait staff didn’t show up until 1:00 as the place started filling up. After that it was just a confused environment. The people were pleasant but it took 90+ minutes to have soup and a main dish. The food was wonderful, but the delays and chaos kept us from eating here the rest of our stay. Had drinks and snacks in the bar later the same evening, same situation chaos everywhere, staff not knowing what needed doing, what had been done, etc. I ended up going to the bar to settle our tab so we could leave. Also the bar menu is strange for our taste as bar food. We ate out and had drinks away from the hotel the next night just to avoid the chaos. They have to get their staff in order.

We were disappointed with the dinner experience at Moreish last night. We have stayed overnight at the Fairmont before and the breakfast wowed us! My wife and her mother have eaten at the terrace outside by the bar four times and the food is good although the service is somewhat slow. We found the service slow last night eating at Moreish and id hoped for more with the quality of food. I am Sicilian and have high expectations of calamari and yet again I was disappointed. Pleasant but not quite there. Two weeks ago I ordered calamari at the Ivy Asia in Brighton and it was “The real deal” it took me back to childhood memories eating freshly caught seafood down at the port. The chicken skewers were average. My wife ordered the tagene Andy the cous cous tasted exactly like the Ainsley Harroit diy packet. We both commented this meal is s##t. I wouldn’t recommend travelling to the Fairmont to eat at Moreish. This is ok if your staying and don’t have high hopes but you’d be happier ordering a burger or bowl of pasta from room service.

Excellent food and service with a very relaxed atmosphere. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and the food was well presented and tasty. Maybe a liitle on the expensive food but worth every penny.

Fabulous food, we got to sit outside in the courtyard which was lovely and shaded, the service was excellent and the food delicious! We did find that the portion sizes on the smaller dishes, where they recommended 2 per person, to be much bigger than expected but I am not complaining about too much food!! Well worth a visit!

Disgusting! Ruined our anniversary. We were turned away at the gate because the hotel had been booked by a company. We had a confirmed booking, but were not allowed within sight of the building. You can imagine what effect this had on our day, and it was too late to find an alternative. The guard at the gate told us we would need to rebook. I explained it was our wedding anniversary, and he said the hotel would contact me shortly. That was 3 days ago and I have heard nothing. I certainly will never book here again, and will spread the word that you do not honour bookings or promises.

Nice food, though for the price point would have expected slightly better. Service had that typical annoying thing of being exceptionally attentive on arrival but then no one to be seen by the time of departure. Lastly was frustrated at being somewhat lied to. Had booked in dinner in advance, and was staying in hotel and wanted bit more time for the spa, so walked over to restaurant to ask if could shift back booking by 30mins. They said no as fully booked (without checking any tablets or paper work). Fair enough. But for the whole time we were there the restaurant was at most 70% full with multiple tables empty for our entire time there. So that was pretty frustrating as clearly they could have accommodated us.

We went at 7 o’clock and there were a lot of children so it was a bit noisy. By 8 it was fine. The food was very delicious and service excellent. This is only my opinion, but a Moroccan restaurant is always very opulent to me and I think that was the one thing lacking, it is after all the room they use for breakfast in the hotel, which s what it felt like. However, this should not distract from how good the food was.

Excellent food, but service was slow. Took a long time to have our order taken and we didn't even get any water at any point. Glasses were there on the table though! Food however was excellent and service quality was very good.

Very good food and excellent service. Only downside was they ignored my request for Birthday celebration ( most restaurants will provide some personal “treat” for the person ) so could sharpen that aspect for the extra mile . Otherwise very good and we will return again.

The food at the Fairmont is delicious and the staff friendly and attentive however Moreish restaurant lacks atmosphere and could do with being redesigned with smaller more intimate areas which would not emphasise the vastness of the restaurant when the restaurant is not full . Also music would help to create a better ambience . We went to celebrate my sons birthday so regardless had a lovely time

We went to the Moreish restaurant which was very nicely laid out and had a good buzz. The had cauliflower and cheese soup to start which was very rich and tasty. I then had the Sea Bass in Papillote (cooked in a white paper parcel) which although tasty with the tomatoes, black olives and capers, the fish was pretty dry. My wife had the Dukka marinated duck breast which she said was great. All in all a nice meal just needing a little more attention to the fish and service (as they seemed a little short on staff).

We went to Moreish to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday as a family. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the restaurant’s ambience was beautiful. But what really stole the show was the level of service. Our server, Edward, was exceptional and very attentive and so polite. Even the kids loved him. The food was excellent and portions huge. We didn’t expect such good portions and ended up wasting a lot unfortunately. But what we were most surprised by was how reasonably priced the dishes were. Not more than eating at the Ivy. I can’t wait to go back.

It was a date day and the hotel and staff where lovely. We weren’t staying, we just went for breakfast and I think the team struggled with that a little. Took quite a while to sort the bill etc. Apart from that, lovely and will return

Visited for dinner on 22 Dec and was underwhelmed by the experience. The menu and food were passable but not exceptional by any standards. The staff were courteous but lacked any empathetic skills, going through the motions like disinterested drones. Noise levels were obtrusive on this occasion but I put that down to a large group of diners with young children, who were not making any attempt to keep the children quiet. The lady who seated us did apologise and try to seat us at a quiet spot Disappointed. Very disappointed.

Excellent quality food and good choice. On Sundays it is a buffet. A bit pricey as the range of choices is not that wide. Service is on and off. Some staff are excellent, other need more training .
