Morgan's Brooklyn Barbecue
If beer and BBQ were all Morgan’s did, we would already be the best restaurant serving ‘cue in the Brooklyn area. Add to that an original menu that features regional classics done right—house-smoked queso, tacos and sliders, pecan pie—alongside a deep well of liquor and beer knowledge provided by a staff that knows and cares about having a good time…well, you’ve got yourself not just a restaurant but a destination.
Get there early, we sell-out often, and stay late, because we always have a good time.

Awesome! Ribs great. Fall off the bone. Wings great. Brisket taco were phenomenal!!!
First time there. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.
A good experience. Seating was tight and the place was a bit noisy. Food was good. Brisket okay, ribs nice. The Mexican corn was the standout item. A great selection of whiskeys.
This food is very heavy, meaty and salty. I wish they had more options; for example you can get chicken and waffles but not fried chicken by the piece. Everything comes with wads of strongly flavored meat: brisket, chili, etc. Definitely have to be in the mood for it.
Cocktails are great - try the bloody Mary with a rasher of bacon in it. The cord bread is excellent, flecked with red and green peppers and served with honey mustard.
It's got a woodsy, sunny feel to it; can get noisy.
EXPENSIVE! I paid almost $100 for brunch this past weekend, and we only had one cocktail each.
My party was late but more then 40 minutes yet they still accommodated us and sat us down once they arrived. Service was great and our waiter was friendly and very attentive.
I’ll come back again.
Also we were going to Celine Dion concert after and the restaurant was playing her songs. 😊
This was my first time coming to Morgan’s, and the experience was bleh! Honestly, Dino BBQ is better! The waiter took a long time serving us, then the hostess in the front started yelling at the waiter to take the order of another person, and it was a little rude (that made me uncomfortable). I had the bacon curd ribs, longhorn mac & cheese, and Mexican street corn. I wasn’t impressed, and I’ve gone to plenty of southern food/BBQ places. I won’t be coming back.
Came in Friday nite. Had a wonderful dinner. Slight issue but the manager on duty rectified everything. Would definitely come back. Great Place
The food was amazing. The Mac and cheese was incredible. I made a reservation on 2/15 for a table of 2 and when I arrived I asked them if it can be changed to a table for 3 and they easily accommodated us. We sat down and ordered and the food came out very quickly. Everything tasted great and we will gladly be going back
Great BBQ and conveniently located next to the Barclay's Center. We went before a concert and, unsurprisingly, it was pretty busy and crowded. It took them a while to get us our food and they forgot one of the items we ordered. I'd recommend this place before any event at Barclay's so long as you're aware that it can get hectic.
The food was excellent service was amazing bartender was a little bit curt and short sighted in her approach towards happy hour drink price after she pretty much forced me too pay the bill prior to my table being ready… Rest of the experience was awesome
The Brisket was very good. Brisket tacos were great. Pico de Gallo very good. Dim lighting good atmosphere.
We arrived early after an event at the Barclays. Our reservation was for 5pm so our table wasn’t ready when we walked in at 4:20. The host was super apologetic and promised to try and seat us ASAP. So we sat at the bar. The space is cute, kinda urban rustic. Full wall of windows facing Flatbush ave and St Marks. There are a few high top tables with bar stools along the windows, the bar wraps around a little and in the back there are booths and tables. Dimly lit but it’s a bite casual spot.
True to his word we were seated early and the waiter quickly came to take our orders. Drinks were good, I had the Ginger Fresca which was really good - ginger ale, vodka and lemonade. Food was good. Their specialty is BBQ (and bourbon- their list of bourbons and whiskey took up a whole wall near our booth). But the BBQ was well cooked, not necessarily well seasoned... my pulled pork was a little dry and served naked, so I had to add bbq sauce. Mashed potatoes were ok. Collard greens were ok. All needed a little something. One of my friends had fried chicken with collard greens and Mac and cheese. It wasn’t what we expected: the fried chicken breast was just a cutlet, and the Mac and cheese was not baked, but served soupy on the plate. I would probably add a bbq chicken option to the menu. Anyway It was a cute spot and service was good but I probably wouldn’t go back.
Morgan's Brooklyn Barbecue was excellent from start to finish. We were visiting Manhattan from the UK and had tickets to see the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. A little google search and I decided to make pre-game dinner reservation at Morgan's and I am so glad I did! It was a good job we had a reservation as it was a busy spot. We were put on a table by the window as a big group reservation was in the back and our host said it would be nicer for us to be away from the big group. The food was excellent and and service throughout was nice and friendly. Only a short walk from the Barclays Center it was a great start to our evening. I would't hesitate to recommend Morgan's!
My family and I had a wonderful time. The service was great the food was delish. We are definitely going back.
Most of the food was very good (and the only thing we really didn't like, the chef insisted on replacing with something that was excellent) and the service at the table was very attentive. But because we had arrived really early we sat at the bar and I am not sure what was up with the bartender - he might not have been their normal bartender because it seemed like he was making an effort to not make eye contact with anyone, which made it really difficult to get a drink.
order the brisket nachos as an appetizer, you will not be disappointed!
This is my favorite BBQ spot. Brisket, Pulled Pork, mach and cheese with bacon are all great. Sometimes the mac and cheese w bacon comes with a side of bacon, sometimes it doesn't.
Host and servers were friendly
Food was great
Walking distance from Barclay Center
I love this place. The staff is great! The food is delicious. I recommend it highly.
Good western fare. Quick service. The ribs fell off the bone and the coleslaw was nice and creamy. The restaurant was packed with locals when I arrived, always a good sign. Only downside was being served a cherry in my Old Fashioned instead of orange peel!
Excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. Brought the desert over with a candle for sons birthday. You need to try the Mac and cheese with bacon.🥰
delicious food and drinks. didn't have to wait that long. good place to have conversation
Well, ok. Definitely recommend the Brooklyn Brewery Winter Lager on tap.
Really nice restaurant and friendly staff. Food out of this world. I had the Ginormous Beef Rib.....fell apart in my mouth. AMAZING!
Wife had the bbq smoked chicken that she is still talking about now.
Really recommend and nice start to a night out in Brooklyn.
The food was delicious! Perfect for a bite before an event at the Barclays Center. Quick & Easy
Good food and great atmosphere
Wonderful place. We will be back!!!
Food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!
Lovely place! Would definitely visit again. Food was really good and very good service.
Pre Concert dinner was great. Fast, courteous service.
Fine BBQ Fare, fun spot.
Really accommodating for birthdays. Lovey staff and great decor. Would love to see more vegan options (especially deserts).
Great BBQ. It tastes the way BBQ should with tender meat that falls off the bone and quality sides.
This was my second time at Morgan’s and it lived up to my expectations! Loved that truffle Mac and loaded potato. Yum!
The barbecue brisket sandwich was very good - and the meat fairly lean. Go for it.
Heard it was great. It is.
My friends and celebrated my husband’s birthday and the food was absolutely delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone. The service was great.
This place is a wreck. The service was mediocre. There appeared to be some hardworking wait staff and some who had no idea what they were doing. The food was overpriced for what it is.
Food was cold. Service was slow. Meh overall.
Really great southern bbq comfort food
The food was not very flavorful. My family of 4 had cornbread, brisket nachos, sausage, candied bacon, old school Mac and cheese, and the 36 layer cake. All dishes were mediocre. Not horrible but not a place I would return to.
