In keeping with Moro and Morito on Exmouth Market, Hackney Road will draw influences from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Eastern Mediterranean including the island of Crete where Head Chef Marianna Leivaditaki grew up and worked in her family’s fish restaurant. Samantha and Marianna have worked hard sourcing exceptional produce, some of which is not yet available in London.
We have concise offering of wines from the Mediterranean - primarily mainland Spain and Portugal - with a couple of lesser known wines from the Canary Islands. There is a selection of sparkling, white, red, pink, and orange wines, with many available by the glass. For those looking to venture past these, there is also a list of Sherry and Vermouth.
Love this place as the food never disappoints and is just so tasty!
AmaZing! Would definitely recommend
Amazing food, super warm setting. Staff were friendly and the food came out in good time. Very pleased with how tasty our meal was
Have been a regular here since it opened but this last visit was a huge disappointment. No service whatsoever for the first 40 minutes (so it was 50+ mins after arrival before we got our first drinks), and again, no service at the end of the meal. The restaurant was all but empty and we had to virtually jump on a table to get someone to give us the bill.
In between there were unwelcome tweaks to listed cocktails (replacements took an age to arrive) and haphazard delivery of the set menu (the first dish arrived quite some time after ordering and successive courses arrived before the starters were eaten). Felt like a restaurant in it's teething phase rather than an established institution. The lamb was overdone and at nearly £70 a head I don't think it was a great experience (there were 5 of us) . The food is usually very good so will dine again, but if the wait staff don't step it up will happily find out other places to frequent.
Morito's is simply a great dining spot. Great atmosphere, food and service.
Incredible as always, my favourite restaurant in London!
Always amazing - for the price, I have never eaten better than this!
Amazing attentive service. Lovely chilled atmosphere. Incredible food that I will be going back for. Can’t recommend highly enough!
Outstanding every time, always with new and interesting, tasty dishes......
The food was way too fat.
Loved eating here- the only small problem that was there weren't a lot of Vegan options on the menu.
Great food but I do find every time the bill is always quite a bit more than you feel it should be.
Waiters are very nice but on this trip waitress had a habit of interrupting at the crux of every conversation which was quite annoying.
The food is not just cooked but subject to some alchemy.Don't think it can be done at home.Just by magic. And the cocktails....well some deal with the devil .but all worth it.
The food at Morito is always excellent. Many thanks!
Morito is my fave restaurant.
Everything on the menu was so tempting, we certainly over-ordered because we couldn't restrain ourselves. Everything was absolutely delicious. I am only disappointed by the capacity of my stomach.
Amazing food as always. The pheasant was a great Christmas-y touch. The filo dessert totally memorable.
Visited morito for lunch last year and it was superb. Did not disappoint on this occasion when we had breakfast prior visit to Columbia road flower market
Excellent Food, Great Service, Nice Friendly Atomosphere
The experience was spoilt by the level of noise which meant there was no chance of a conversation with my partner. The tables are far to close particularly as if we did had someone sitting on the next table who had a big mouth and throughout our meal spoke at the top of her voice even when the level of noise reduced in the restaurant. Would think twice before making an evening reservation again!
This is the third time I have eaten at Morito this year and every time I've had a truly memorable meal. Service is outstanding and the food is simply some of the best in London.
Fantastic- as always - wonderful in all respects x
The Food was great - the atmosphere super. Had a three course meal that left me feeling immensely satisfied but not overly full.
As a Spanish person, these are the best tapas I have ever had in London. The North African twist gives the food a bit of heat and adds some lovely spices and ingredients. I would say though that given its highly controversial name, I would brief the waiters and waitresses about why the restaurant has that name or at least offer some kind of an explanation on the menu, etc.
Lovely ambiance and friendly staff. Food was good but servings a little smaller than usual
Omg the best food ever. Everyone left very, very happy.
Always perfect, one of my fav spots in the city. I love the food, service, interior decor, and atmosphere. Great for dates, anniversaries, weekday dinner with a friend.
Got to be one of the best restaurants in the city. Unpretentious, great staff, food 10/10. Woke up hungover and wished I could get it delivered.
always so brilliant to eat here, and the food is just wonderful
Wonderful food as always . We had lots of small plates , fried aubergines, labneh, gorgeous bread, the lamb chops were juicy and crispy , a cabbage dish which was so delicious ! Service was very good , bit noisy this time as there were lots of Christmas party groups but not usually quite so noisy on Sunday mornings.
Everything we had was amazing. Safe to say we can’t wait to come back again soon!
Excellent, creative food; lovely staff; stylish and relaxed environment.
Great food, awesome service and always a pleasure to be back.
Thanks to the team for having such a great place to meet and enjoy with friends.
See you soon.
Love this place. It's always delicious and the staff are great. Thoroughly recommended.
The service was a litte unorganised and distracted. The food was great with the exception of one main course. Mushrooms with chicken and an egg made for a not so cool combination - especially with the taste of the mushrooms dominating the whole dish.
I was celebrating a special occasion with my partner - the food and atmosphere really created a special evening for us. The starters alone were delightful, creative and very filling! We had the set menu which is a great way to sample a range of dishes with no pressure. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and we had a terrific evening.
Outstanding food, try the mussels with chorizo!!
Closes very early on Sundays which is not the best if you are looking for a relaxed dinner.
Have been coming here atleast once a month for years
The food is always amazing as is the atmosphere and the staff is amazing ... especially Andy always makes you feel very welcome as does his staff
the ever changing menu is a nice touch too and do yourself a favor and buy the cook book
Greatly overrated. Service mixed. Food mediocre. Very poor value for money.
