Moro is now open again !!! For the time being we will be closed for lunch Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and for dinner on Sunday.
Moro restaurant in London’s Exmouth Market may retain its reputation as one of the hippest restaurants in one of the hippest parts of the capital, but this Clerkenwell restaurant still focuses more on good food than its own image. Moro’s décor with its polished wooden floors, long zinc bar, open view to the kitchen and its charcoal grill and wood-burning oven, is functional and welcoming. Cuisine of the southern Mediterranean, from the Iberian Peninsula into Northern Africa, is the menu’s exclusive province.

With pistachios and pomegranate. We recommend a glass of 'MR' Moscatel, 100ml - 9
celery, tomato, fresh coriander and olive tagine
Great food, good service - plenty of spacing out of tables - got table at the back
Food was delicious, lovely airy relaxing vibe, with good atmosphere.
Staff very attentive.
Only thing was that some dishes were quite small for the amount we paid for them.
Small portions, food was not amazing for the price they charged. Menu is confusing
Lockdown dining is a little different to normal, but hey, when the food is this delicious, and service so good........get in there!
Tasty but overpriced food . Good for a treat. Good service
We toke the hake and received a small portion from the tail of the fish. This was rather little for the price we paid.
On the menu you have to mention the extra cost of 12,5 % service. This was a suprise for us. As we are from Belgium we are not used to the fact that the price on the menu does not include service.
Thank you for reviewing this.

Very nice to be back and find the food a good as ever with a wide choice
Sat inside for lunch and it was quiet although most of the outside tables were occupied
Very nice Spanish waitress gave good advice about food and wine
Good food but now they have moved to a tapas menu it not as good as it was. It was one of our most favourite places to eat in London. The sherry ice cream is great, lamb dish good as is the anchovy, egg and harissa “brick”
Great to be back at Moro - they’ve changed the menu format so there are more items to order. Excellent food.
The food was as excellent as always. The staff were happy and there was a good distance between the tables. Can’t wait to go back again soon!!
Great to be back . Everything was exceptional as always . slight change to the menu but food was really tasty . cant wait to go back.
Visited day after re-opening and impressed by new menu and enthusiasm.
The food at Moro is deliciously - but, sadly, the noise is excessive and uncomfortable
Was so wonderful to eat out again. The service was great! The food was delicious and was a wonderful dining experience!
With covid19 we were one of only 5 tables. Excellent food, service and ambience. A very jolly evening
We went on Monday this week, just as London was emptying out. There were perhaps 6-10 tables occupied. They seated us all well apart, the food was its usual wonderful standard and the staff were relaxed and cheerful despite the likelihood that the restaurant would have to close within days. If you live close enough and if Moro offers a take away menu, please support them. We will need Moro more than ever when this is all over. Stay safe, be responsible and support Moro.
Loved it. Flavours are spot on. Service is fun and knowledgable. Nice wine.
Exceptional food every time we visit. Cannot recommend highly enough.
My favourite restaurant. It’s always a pleasure to go there.
Great food with creative flavours well cooked and presented, from the home baked bread dipped into virgin olive oil to the crackling on my belly pork.
My favourite restaurant and is always good
Moro always delivers a stylish night out
We always save it as a treat or a celebration
The staff are always intelligent helpful and understanding
The food is great and it’s always buzzing
Moro is a neighbourhood restaurant, a great place for business lunches and a wonderful spot for dinner for two. Friendly, welcoming, great food, lovely room. Somewhere to return to frequently.
A great place to eat for foodies and theatre goers.
Hadn’t been here for a while and don’t know if it was just an off-night or it has gone downhill. Ordered 4 starters between 2 and all of them were pretty awful, two almost took the roof off your mouth there was so much vinegar. To be fair they discounted the bill by 1 starter.
Creative and fine food. Especially enjoyed cuttlefish, lamb, and jamon Iberico( it was carved perfectly) . Olives too were perfect. The wine ( Nestal Mencia- Bierzo) chosen by the waiter was Excellent as were the cocktails -their take on a mule and the Negroni.
Very enjoyable but quite pricy
Lots of hype about this place and it's definitely worth the visit, but be prepared for high prices.
Moro is still one of the best restaurants around: highly recommended
Everything at Moro is utterly delicious, beginning with the bread and oil, through to mouth watering desserts and perfect coffee. Go! Enjoy!
Great Friday evening with friends. Been quite a few times over the years and never disappointed.
Firts time for our friends and pretty sure they will also return.
Very good food, very good service, good atmosphere, well priced, friendly, easy going. Overall very enjoyable
Both our meats were cooked to perfection. Wine list could have done with a few more options at the lower end
Absolutely delicious and delightful staff. Book a table! You won’t regret it.
I love this place! Great food and kind and patience staff that help to explain the menu. We all traveled to go there and it was well worth the effort.
We absolutely loved our dinner at Moro. The service was top notch. We opted for small plates and it did not disappoint! Creative and fresh. Don't miss the potatoes with aioli- absolutely sinful!
I always make a point of having and enjoying a meal in Moro on my visits to London and on this occasion I think that the lamb surpassed my previous meals. Excellent.
Everything that I look for in a restaurant. Super delicious food, good service and a relaxed atmosphere. Moro doesn't disappoint.
A Saturday lunchtime treat for us - the staff were lovely - really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere relaxed and as ever the food was absolutely gorgeous. Simple dishes cooked to perfection with beautiful flavour combinations and great house wine. My succulent wood roasted lamb was paired with a delicious piquant olive and anchovy garum and sublimely olive oiled patatas a lo pobre. They'd run out of Seville orange ice cream so we tried the cardamon and rose instead - delicately flavoured heaven! Not a cheap meal but compared to the National Theatre restaurant the night before at the same price in another league of cooking alltogether. Always worth it for Moro. Thankyou Sam and Sam and your wonderful staff.
