Food was disappointing- very different to last time when we thought that the food was amazing (about 8 months ago).
The food was brilliant! Moro is my all time favourite. Every course is genius. I have all the books.
A fabulous meal from beginning to end. All the staff welcoming and attentive.
The food delicious and flavoursome and the drink pairings perfect!
A truly memorable meal and we hope to return soon!
In the past yes, I feel it’s not as good as it used the be. The food was not as flavoursome and the plates were smaller and not as generous. Also moro always had amazing bread, which it still does however my mum is gluten free and we were told they had gluten free bread, which they did but it was shop bought sliced bread which they had toasted... I feel they could endeavour to make their own or source better. The choices for my mum were very limited on the starter list and slightly better on the main courses, maybe they could do dishes which could be altered easily? We still had a wonderful time, but I feel it’s not as special as it used to be. I prob won’t visit again which is a shame.
Just as wonderful as ever !
Very smooth and attentive service matched by delicious flavours from staters to dessert.
Love this place! Consistently good food and worth the extra cost for a special occasion
Food was fab. Service a little slow in terms of taking orders, getting the bill. Forgot to bring our drinks.
The lamb was great but the brill a bit tough. The staff were helpful and efficient. We moved table as the guys one were so loud. The noise level generally was really high. The corridor and the loos could do with a good clean and repaint. It was obviously well done originally but now very tatty.
This place has really gone downhill..and ridiculously expensive for no reason
The menu sounded very good but we were slightly let down by the dishes. Starters were nice but the mains didn’t really live up to expectations. Lacked flavour and were rather plain. Shame really.
For the first 18 months of Moro's existence, I think I was their most regular customer, lunching there at least three times a week as my business was nearby. I now live and work miles away so get back there rarely. It was therefore wonderful to find that the food was as good as ever, even if the ambiance and welcome were perhaps a little less personal and warm. Service was though impeccable. Still one of my favourite restaurants.
An amazing experience; great food, great wine, great ambience and a truly lovely (funny, kind, helpful) waitress.
Thanks Moro xxx
I think it was probably the weather, time of day etc but the restaurant lacked atmosphere. The food was really very good, but with all other factors combined (service, ambiance) didn't feel good value for money. For similar prices you get the 'wow' factor at other restaurants
First time at Moro and has been really looking forward to it.
Had to wait ten minutes at cramped bar without enough room for us all to sit or stand to be sat down.
Small table for four right beside door and pillar with coats in it with constant bustle and chill of people coming and going and frequently bumped by or bumping into waiters.
Food and drink were very good but ambience was spoilt with lack of space and “corridor” effect.
I would go back but insist on different table.
Outstanding food as ever and good service, but it’s very noisy. Not sure that can be altered!
Still one of the best restaurants in London. Always feels special. Even the bread and oil is superb. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. Always a treat.
Great dinner at Moro - noisy but with attentive service and delicious food it was a treat.
Pretty average food, was disappointing as I loved Morito. Interesting menu, but a lot was rather bland, or just ok at best, nothing special, especially for the price. Service was great though. I’ll stick to next door.
This is the third time, over many years that we have been to Moro. Whilst it was enjoyable the food wasn’t that special sadly. It’s good but lacks the sparkle, especially given the high prices.
Asked to leave table after ordering dessert due to timing mixup - poor service when table next to ours had just finished paying.
Fantastic meal - fresh fish and well chosen menu.
Another lovely evening at our favourite neighbourhood restaurant. Lovely food as always although the Lamb kofta meatball starter could have involved larger meatballs! Great service and a warm welcome.
Starters nice, main course overcooked - like it had been reheated.
Only 4 pieces of bread for 5 people.
Service pleasant and prompt and lovely building.
We were put by the coats though when there were other empty tables - bit old.
All in - resting on it's laurels.
Excellent food, perfect service, great atmosphere! We will be back when next in London.
A great lunch My stars say it all. Nothing boring here!!
Been coming here, on and off, for 25 years and when I go, I always wonder why I've not been more often. Probably my favourite sit round a table, restaurant in London. Which I'm about to leave. Edinburgh is going to find it hard to compare.
Interesting menu, enough choice, all dishes prepared and presented well. a couple of enjoyable wines by the glass; the white quite unusual from Basque country. Pleasant attentive service.
Lovely Mediterranean food, very friendly service. We particularly enjoyed the imaginative starters.
The food was fantastic, but service very poor. I have been in the past and service was good but this time it was terrible. We arrived early to have a drink at the bar. As our table was ready we sat there but it was 15 minutes before we were offered water. Another 15 minutes before we offered wine, then it arrived wrong and we had to wait another 15 minutes for the correction. It took 1 hour before I had a sip of wine!? For a meal that cost over £60 a head!!
This is my daughter’s favourite restaurant. We celebrated her wedding there and every birthday for her since it opened and she goes there as many times that she can afford it. Staff very friendly and informative. Good excellent, staff brilliant.
Very nice food. Never fails in that. I love the fish dishes. This place is now a classic.
Lovely date night sat the bar. Chargrilled cod was delicious and mezze plate was huge! Definitely will come back.
While the food was good, the prices were over the top. every dish was priced very generously whatever the ingredients, especially the deserts. plus the noise was not "energetic", as your star rating provides for, but intolerable. A conversation is impossible without shouting. I have been there before and it seems that both things have got worse.
Been here before and enjoyed going back. Interesting part of town with good pubs, bars and restaurants. Food and service was good and food came promptly. Only real complaint was price and value for money. Stuck to fish and veg courses and these were interesting but meal come to over £200 for three of which was £100 for two bottles of wine. Would like to see better choice of wine at lower end of price range as £50 a bottle is steep for non West End.
It is as all delicious as ever!
Excellent food, wonderful service, lovely wines, great ambience.
Went after a show for early Dinner.
We were welcomed warmly.
We ordered variety of vegetarian food to share. The platter contained mushrooms and they happily changed it as one of us don’t eat mushrooms.
Overall it was satisfactory.
There is always a great welcome and very friendly service. The starters are interestingly different for each new menu. For a main, I particularly like the charcoal grilled lamb with a glass of Vina Muriel. There are also good vegetarian choices.
Food as always was great and service was good too. They just need to clean the restaurant a bit more - there is always food stuck to menus and cutlery is never quite clean
