A fabulous iconic restaurant I love Moro and our meal here did not disappoint!
The food was fresh deliciously seasoned and unusual flavours,
Our waiter Sam was incredibly knowledgable about the all dishes on the menu but also about the all wines,
We decided in having wines by the glass so we could try more they have an amazing array of wines by the glass,
We had an orange wine a chilled red and a few different desert wines and sherries fantastic!
Cannot recommend highly enough looking forward to going again v soon!
Absolutely fantastic evening. It was everything we wanted and more, will definitely be back. Worth every penny.
Lovely evening. Great food. Nice, unitrusive snd gentle service
Food disappointing as previous years we have loved it. Mackeral particularly was poor . We liked our starters and puddings. We were put in a side room so ambiance not so good. Staff excellent. Wine we liked but thought it very expensive for what it was. No options on the wine at less than £34.00 so options limited.
Heavenly to return to Moro. The food as delicious as always.
Have been to Moro scores of times, and have never been disappointed. It's everything a good restaurant should be - welcoming, wonderful food and drink, faultless friendly service, totally genuine.
Wonderful atmosphere, with friendly staff. So good to be back here again.
overall a very enjoyable dining experience and attentive and knowledgeable staff
This was a much-needed reunion of five good friends....we laughed, cried and ate well. The food was delicious - all mains were tried with success and we left feeling full and happy.
The whole experience was nothing short of exceptional! I called ahead to say I had an allergy and this was consistently managed by the friendly staff thought our lunch. Their attention to this was amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat and would highly recommend. Compliments the the chef!!
Wonderful food. Wine fine but pricey. Service excellent.
I've been wanting to try Moro for a few years now - inspired by their cook books, and was really excited to eat there recently. The food didn't disappoint - one of the nicest, tastiest meals I've had for a while. Their yogurt cake was perfection!
I am have been going to Moro for 25 years . An old favourite . The food these days is very middle if the road , unimaginative and overpriced
Fabulous , only criticism was the food was rushed
An absolutely outstanding experience, food, service and wine list all spot on, highly recommended
Excellent location and atmosphere, friendly and efficient service as well as delicious food & drinks.
Beautiful food, lovely knowledgeable staff, always been one of my favourites
Lovely leisurely lunch with warm welcome by staff and lovely food. Great mix of unusual and familiar seasonal ingredients cooked well.
The food was amazing, great and friendly service!
Portions for mains were quite big.
nice to be back in a lively retaurant with excelletn food and service.
Moro’s is an informal dining experience in a buzzy environment with excellent food.
Wonderful food, really nice to sit outside in exmouth market and great service
Hasn’t stood the test of time. I had mackerel - which kinda felt like a pub meal level of mackerel & chips - okay but for £26 kind of expect something more special. Think I will stick to Morito next door.
Understandably first visit in ages but left really deflated. Fantastic service from a new waiter. Really poor choice (none) of vegetarian dishes as a starter. Lamb well cooked but rather bland. £6.50 for some mixed salad leaves, insulting. Very overpriced. Completely understand the cost/knock on effect of the pandemic but this is very short sighted costing which will ultimately have a knock on effect. Really wanted to love the experience, educate and broaden my daughters culinary experience but left really, really disappointed and rather embarrassed. Real shame.
Delicious Dinner with great waitress service. Just perfect for pre Sadlers Wells food and drinks.
We came early for a pre-theatre dinner, and the food was OK for what it was but really was overpriced. Mezze were good mixture and flavourful, but £20 where £10 would have been more reasonable. The £7 vitality salad was fine but consisted of maybe 5 lettuce leaves and half a chopped tomato.
We used to love Moro but the food was mostly average at best and some was really poor
Great food and service! Not sure if it’s possible but few more tables outside it will be better or more distance the tables in-between.
Food felt somewhat overpriced and not as exciting as i had hoped. Having been to NOPI and Morito hackney road many times, i felt the level at Moro was not nearly as high. Came away somewhat disappointed. Asked for wine recommendations and the waiter did not know anything about the wine list.
As always a very nice restaurant. I would like to have seen a more extensive wine selection but what there was was good enough.
I’ve been eating at Moro for years but this was the First time since 2019 - for obvious reasons. Delighted to be back and see (taste) the quality of the food hasn’t diminished in the slightest. Unfussy, delicious, and breath taking flavour combinations.
Great service with excellent wine recommendations. Friendly staff throughout and as always food exceptional
1st visit with 4 Moro cookbook fans, and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious food and generous sized portions. We were all happy
another great meal at Moro - food extremely good and good choice
Love this place . Food is always exceptional. Staff are really friendly . Great atmosphere.
Moro food is always sensational and the service friendly and attentive. The only challenge is the noise level which made it hard for one of our guests to hear. Nonetheless, he was determined to return as soon as possible!
Firstly it must be said this restaurant is absurdly expensive.. £29 for some chicken and chickpeas is loony. My food was also lukewarm... I was going to complain but it was hard to attract our waitress's attention. The table for four was very small so fitting everything on was problem and there's always the fear of the wine bottle falling off. Bigger tables please. It's quite a fun place in terms of its interior and it's full and bustling, but I don't see why the food and wine is so expensive. It feels like a nice cafe you'd pop into for a bite to eat, but the prices are like those of a super posh West End place so I guess we won't be going here very often. Staff not quite friendly enough.
Lovely atmosphere, great service as ever and fabulous to be able to eat in again!
The vegetable mezzo was delicious - a varied selection of tastes. Highly recommended.
Delicious inventive food, very good friendly service looking forward to our next visit
Slightly disappointed, as Moro is one of my favourites. Could just be I made the wrong menu choices for me. My starter of ox-tongue was ok, had the distinctive tongue taste I was expecting but the other flavours were a bit overwhelming, especially the mintiness. My main course of lamb was a triumph of quantity over quality. The lamb succeeded in being both melting and tough at the same time. There were just too many redundant lentils. My partner had gazpacho, which was ok, and the chicken which she really liked. The dessert of rose petal and cardamom ice-cream was superb.
