Service was fantastic. Super friendly staff. Of course, the food was amazing too! Will definitely come back again ❤️
Great place for a breakfast in town. I always return.
Staff were a little distracted on Friday night. Not as good as usual.
Just great overall ambience really good food and friendly service
my office is close by so we often go for breakfast lunch and dinner. Mortimer House is always consistently excellent. the team are very efficient and friendly food great and ambience good.
Last minute booking accepted. We were happy to see the kitchen running in front of us, lively and fresh.
We enjoyed our dinner so much, the bread was simply great! The only thing was the beef carpaccio's sauce was a bit overpowering. Otherwise all went very well, with the friendly lady serving us throughout the entire dining experience. The mille-feuilles was another highlight, it looked ordinary but tasted heavenly good, pairing with the orange peel, mmmm.
The cauliflower was delicious!!!
Such a tasty brunch. Portions are small, but all the more reason to order more and try to have everything on the menu!
I really like Mortimer House - I've eaten there twice. I ordered the Croque Monsieur on Saturday and I have to say with hindsight I was a bit disappointed with it. There was hardly any cheese inside or ham and no garnish which for a tenner was a bit of a shame. Probably should have flagged this up at the time but was enjoying the ambience and company too much to think about it.
It won't stop me returning though. (and I know the head chef is very reputable)
A gorgeous room and excellent, friendly service. A very tempting menu with lots of dishes that appealed. We had two salads for our main courses - a halloumi one and crab one and my only criticism is that the portions were a bit mean, particularly of the halloumi and crab. Otherwise everything was excellent. A great place to meet people.
Great place, portions a little on the small side, but tastes were fabulous. Lively place and quite loud. Overall an enjoyable evening
There was a great choice of dishes on the menu, and the idea of small, medium or large plates was a very good one, and was very flexible.
The atmosphere was very good and we were impressed with all the front of house staff.
Would definitely recommend to all our friends.
Delicious food, wonderful service and a great ambiance! Perfect for a week day dinner with friends and great for out of town guests!
Our second visit was as enjoyable as the first. Food was simply delicious and the ambience perfect for our occasion. Service most attentive and swift. All in all a perfect evening. Thank you all at Mortimer House kitchen.
We asked for our starter and mains together and only our starters came. then we waited for 45 mins for our main after asking again where our food was. I think they forgot all about our mains.
However, the restaurant did give us a small discount to the overall price.
Great space and loved the vibe. We had a very unfriendly who was not welcoming at all- it was uncomfortable. Maybe he was having a bad day and took it out on us.
The food was basic and the menu was limited- no appetisers or started but rather 'medium' and 'large' dishes. I ordered the steak and it was very disappointing and came with sad looking chips. When I asked if they had any sauce for the steak, the waiter said ketchup...!
Brilliant venue and service. Lovely décor and the food was outstanding. I'd be happy to come here again as both myself and my guest thoroughly enjoyed it.
Beautiful space! The staff let you feel at home! They are all so nice!!!
Food is great as always with the chef Favuzzi.
One of my favourtie place in london.
Food was lovely and great value. Would happily go again
My wife and I enjoyed our time here. The food was good and service was too.
My wife has some food intolerances and an incorrect dish was brought but then quickly replaced.
I have been for lunch before which had more atmosphere and much of the restaurant was quiet dark for dinner.
Slightly expensive at £70 ph which included two glasses of red and a negroni ( one 2 course one three course ) but I suppose that's what a decent meal costs in town on a Saturday night.
We will return.
Dined there Saturday afternoon for brunch. Nice setting, nice ambience - ruined at times by an exceptionally noisy table nearby. Food ok, somewhat bland and not memorable. Drinks ok. Price ok but overall just not worth it.
Good location and nice vibe inside
Loved it! Great food and service!
we ordered the so-called “big plates” but they were small portions and we were starving. my order was an octopus with potato and it was only one small tentacle with one potato! because of this i ordered extra fries but it took 15 minutes for them to come, by which time the main was cold. i asked the waiter about the status of the order and he was upset that i asked and acted rude for the rest of the meal. the coffee was not very hot either. i feel it was pricey but not worth the value given food and service.
I came here for lunchtime catch up with an old friend. A wonderful dining experience. All the staff were really friendly and very attentive. Customer service here is excellent! The menu is varied and the food was delicious, although the portions sizes are quite small for the price. Overall a lovely experience.
On the whole a great restaurant. would recommend for any occasion, group small or large.
Friendly service and good food in an animated but not too noisy restaurant.
Okay, but nothing special, food was disappointing, ambience okay, service generally good.
Had a fantastic night here with the Mrs last night for valentine's. It's a laid back casual dinning experience with exceptional food and hospitality from our server.
The food came swiftly and we were fully satisfied by the time we paid the bill and left. Definitely coming back here again very soon!
Very good food, relaxed ambient and full of stylist plants and furniture. Definitely recommended.
Very nice design and cosy atmosphere. Good food and good service for brunch or dinner.
I recommend strongly
Excellent staff let down by mediocre food. I will not be going back.
Great food and service. A mix up on ordering one of the dishes but the waiter resolved it within minutes for free.
Would definitely recommend for work meetings and any social occasion.
Customer service is really great and based on this I would recommend.
The atmosphere is very nice and food was great. Delicious crab salad and my octopus main was really good. Was £50 a head for a shared starter and two courses. My main was sold as a big plate but definitely seemed like a medium/small one and was expensive. Didn't feel like great value for money so probably wouldn't go back.
First time we have tried this place and we all enjoyed it.
Outstanding service. Nice wine list.
Very good ambient.
amazing place for brunch, the menu is comprehensive and has lots of great plates to try. between two of us we ended up having 4 plates because they were all pretty light, and had a juice and coffee each. came to £40 each. would come back and do recommend!
A lovely upscale restaurant with great service and good food in a lovely setting with a view to the open kitchen. Interesting to watch the chefs at work.
Love this place for breakfast but they had an event in in the private part of the room and it seemed only about two waiters for the rest of us. Everything took so long to arrive ( and no plate given when the toast arrived so got up and went and got one myself) that it was hardly worth the bother when it did. I'd have loved a second cup of coffee but knew I'd never catch someone's attention and even then, it would take ages. I was with a journalist from a national newspaper and it was a shame
