Delicious food and impeccable service. We felt very looked after!
Lovely meal for a large group - good food (the lamb (for 2) was particularly lovely). Waiting staff divine. Ideally would have liked a larger range of wine by the glass due to different preferences but that won’t stop us returning.
the very talented Antonio "Lelo" Favuzzi, of L'anima fame, is on show in the open kitchen and has added some middle eastern inspired flavours to his Italian Fayre.
Cooked and presented beautifully in a relaxed room with a great ambience.
Professional but low key overall
Good menu and good food
Great food but small portions and big prices unfortunately.
Went to Mortimer House Kitchen for a business breakfast. The service was wonderful, attentive, friendly and helpful staff and the food served promptly - everything was delicious. The avocado on toast with smoked ricotta was presented especially beautifully. The coffee was also fantastic. Will definitely be returning.
it has a lovely atmosphere
staff are great - in general it was a good brunch was a little disappointed with a couple of our courses
in general would recommend it
An enjoyable evening with very good table service in buzzy surroundings. The menu is a little challenging but our main course was excellent, shoulder of lamb for two, preceded by "green soup" which was mainly pea and lived up to its name. My desert, the cheeseless cheesecake, was disappointing. Only real criticism is that the maitre d' who served us should learn to smile and not be gutted because we did not order cocktails or bottled water. A bonus is how easy it is to park.
Fantastic staff, great food, nice crowd.
Highly recommend this restaurant, mainly as the staff are so accommodating and friendly-not something one experiences all the time. Good menu choice and drinks offer, will definitely revisit.
A little Mediterranean and Aegean, a little inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine. All these cuisens are blended in Mortimer House Kitchen.
It is a place where you can eat tahini with aburgine next to Italian pasta.
Also I recommend their tiramisu which is quite balanced sugar and cream.
Staff are very kind and friendly.
We go every week! Wish the menu would change though. and to describe the asparagus as ENGLISH in October is a real own goal. Please change it - or stop serving it - it creates a bad impression.
Excellent service and great food. Mortimer House Kitchen is one of my favourite places to eat in central London especially after a West End show. Relaxed atmosphere with a nice bar and drink selection paired with really top quality food.
Mortimer House Kitchen is a bright comfortable relaxing space with very attentive staff and good food at reasonable prices. It is perfect for Sunday brunch.
Really great food and ambience. Perfect place for breakfast / brunch.
Top place, great service, amazing location
The food was of good quality and the price was acceptable. The waiters were attentive and changed a dish for me due to special dietary requirements. There was a rather rude lady who told us we had to give up the table about 5 minutes after we sat down. It turned out she meant in 2 hours. She also came by a few more times yanking away the menus we had wanted to keep. It was a bit of a disappointment as the venue is lovely, and the rest of the team were great.
Great atmosphere. Delicious meal. Excellent service.
Spent a wonderful evening here for my birthday- the food was absolutely delicious. Stand out dishes for me were the lamb meatballs, burnt carrots and aubergine carpaccio however, everything was superb. We will be back soon and please write a cookbook !!
This was my fifth visit and the food was as good as ever.
My one complaint is that we were seated in the depths of the room to the left of the kitchen which has zero atmosphere and is very echoey - very disappointing when the main room is so lovely.
When I book again I’m going to specify the main room because it really detracts from the experience to be tucked away in what is a completely anonymous spot. It also made service not as as good as usual because it’s harder to get anyone’s attention.
we really enjoyed everything! the food, the service, the wine and the prices! loved the soft shell crab, tuna tartare, beef carpaccio, raw prawns, the lamb meatballs, the octopus and everything else!
The restaurant is attractive and not too noisy - quite buzzy in fact. The menu looks delicious and the service was fine.
The food however was really bland and frankly no good.
Burnt carrots were tasteless soggy and black with none of the gorgeous caramellyness one would hope for and the tomato burrato was also tasteless and the tomatoes were awful. I left most of it which is really saying something because I am known for plate clearing
The soft shell crab was excellent. The turbot was delicious. The octopus was very good. Not a fan of the “cheese-less” cheesecake.
They make a good Negroni and the Rhubarb and Grapefruit cocktail was also very good.
This is a favourite dining spot but this time it was disappointing especially from a menu and food point of view.
It was good - can’t complain about anything
Loved the whole experience. It was buzzy and modern and the staff were lovely. The food was gorgeous and we went home very drunk and very full. Would definitely return but would only recommend to some friends because it was quite expensive. We don't mind but some of them do. All in all a great dinner
Delicious breakfast but the window tables are extremely close together meaning you constantly bump chairs with the people behind you. Service was bit slow
Perfect destination for breakfast meetings - welcoming setting, relaxed atmosphere, friendly team and delicious menu. One of my favourite avocado/poached eggs on toast options in town.
Great for gluten and dairy free, delicious fresh healthy food, lovely atmosphere
On arrival the manager took a while to come Over and acknowledge us. He was functional but no welcome smile at all. The waiter was charming but couldn’t talk us through the beer or wine list. He admitted he didn’t have a clue. Food was average - nothing stand out amazing. The tables we had for four people were tripod tables so every time you meant on the table it tipped and one point our whole bottle of red tipped off the table. Wouldn’t go back - not special enough. Looks lovey but no atmosphere.
A light and airy place for lunch and an enjoyable meal too.
Good food and service. Nice ambience.
The place itself is lovely and the ambiance is great - we wanted a relatively quiet place so we can catch up with our friends whom we haven't seen for a while. However the quality of the food was poor - we ordered 7 dishes and enjoyed only one of them.
Very nice evening, nice staff, beautiful decor. Food was great and quite original. It's a bit pricey for a casual evening but perfect for celebration. I will be coming back and checking for menu updates to discover more of their food.
The staff are friendly and attentive. We booked a table for brunch at 11.30 only to find that the breakfast menu finishes at 11.30 and lunch starts at 12noon! I don’t think it should be an option to book at 11.30 - or the breakfast menu needs to carry on until the lunch one starts - say 11.45?
The food was delicious, healthy, well presented and filling.
All good thank you
Very overpriced, I had tagliatelle which was tasty but ordinary and massively overpriced for what it was.
Best evening in a restaurant for a long time by far! Beautiful dining room, excellent acoustics, great atmosphere, impeccable service (friendly & attentive but never intrusive), gorgeous food - faultless evening. Will return. xxx
Loved this restaurant so much! Innovative food, great table, friendly service. We booked again before we left.
Excellent food; I'm not a veggie but I loved the spiralled courgette with smoked ricotta and pistachio. Also the tuna tartare was amazing. My customer was very pleased with her dish also - soft shell crab followed by home made tagliatelle. Excellent. We will definitely be returning soon.
This was our first time at this restaurant having been recommended by friends. A party of 4of us went on a Saturday night for a meal. The decor was very pleasant and the staff very helpful and pleasant. Our first choice of red wine was not to our liking and it was changed with no fuss. The food was the best we have experienced in a long time. Very unusual and extremely tasty without being very spicy. Although we were all full we still managed a desert. The price was very reasonable. I can’t wait to return
