Morton's Grille - Niagara Falls
The food was fantastic but the service left a lot to be desired. It was disorganized. Ny server was not very attentive although she was very pleasant. I asked another gentleman for bread and I never saw him again. It took 20 mins to get my check. Over all the only thing I can say is the food was great and that’s it
Unfortunately we never had a chance to eat at Morton’s in Niagara Falls. After an hour of waiting for the food we ordered (a simple order of two fillets and a side order) we reluctantly made the decision to cancel our order and pay for wine we ordered and did not even finish. Our server indicated they prioritized two large groups before our order. A business decision that means we will not return to this establishment which was indicated to the server. While she discussed the situation with the “manager” no direct discussion with the manager ensued. Very disappointed given the high end prices and cache supposedly associated with the Morton’s name.
This was a watered down version of the Morton's experience. The drinks were watery, salad was cold and wilted (not prepared to order) and steak was overdone (ordered medium and got nearly well). The sides were just okay, too much salt on everything. I resent paying top dollar for a mediocre meal that is supposed to be up to standard. I would not return here.
The steak was cooked wrong and inedible, and the manager could not have cared less and was borderline rude, don’t know how he got to be a manager as he has had little or no training in customer service. It was our anniversary and we were told when we got there that we could not sit in the section that had a good view of the falls because they did not have enough serving staff to serve that section, which we had requested in advance for our special occasion. A $45 ribeye steak had so much gristle in it that you could not chew it up. We were also told that this was a Morton franchise and not part of the Morton family, so we could not use the $50 gift card we had been given for our anniversary. Overall a terrible experience it all the more frustrating by and I’m caring and defensive manager. He reluctantly deducted $20 from a $45 steak that could not be eating and was not eating And which we should not have been charged for.
Travel dinner overlooking Niagara Falls
Excellent food and service. So glad we decided to go!
Our server Crystal was top notch.
Excellent food and service.
Definitely over priced. The steak at the keg is was better and priced better as well. The view of the falls is obstructed. I would probably never go back. However waiter was friendly and helpful. But the experience and food just not worth the price we paid.
Our steaks ordered as medium rare and received as medium; unacceptable in a noted steakhouse. Manager discounted and gave us a dessert; still disappointing.
The only thing I noticed was the large quantity of young loud kids - Morton's isn't the brand I think of when I have to tolerate loud screaming kids.
Our Food was Great and our Server: Chantal was Excellent! She made our experience here Wonderful!
An “ok” experience .. food average and service average ... we had to keep topping up our wine as the waitress had many tables to look after ... overall an average meal.
Entree came out a minute after the salads. Steak was ordered rare and brought out well. Out of many menu items. No apologies offered.
The staff was incredibly understanding and polite. The waitress was very nice and friendly, also delivered on the service side. As for the food, all you have to say is Morton’s.
Now for open table. I made the original reservation for 7 pm but then realized that we really should give our selves an extra 15 minutes. I modified the reservation by changing the minutes from 00 to 15 and saved the change. I received the confirmation email and glanced at it to make sure it showed the change and it did. What I didn’t notice was that it had changed my reservation to 5:15, not 7:15.
I then realized I forgot to add that it was our anniversary, back into the reservation. I modified it to add the anniversary and to request a window seat, received the confirmation email but again did not notice the time. This change did not have any impact to the time, it still said 5:15 which I did not notice.
We were very lucky that they had kept one open table by the window. So our evening, thanks to their staff, was incredible.
Very disappointing. We stayed in the hotel, and were looking forward to a nice dinner. Food was overpriced and only okay. We had a much better meal next door at the Keg, and it was cheaper. It took over an hour for our food to come out - ribs and a medium steak, and my husband's ribs were almost raw - not cooked at all. Had to send them back and have new ones cooked. Wish we had chosen a different restaurant. They did give us a free dessert, but still wasn't worth the cost, and we were there for over 2 hours.
I, my wife and adult daughter were there on Saturday June 30. We had an early reservation (6:15pm). The restaurant was almost empty yet the hostess sat us directly next to a young couple with 2 young children. The kids were running around and being disruptive. Please understand that I remember those days. But with a little thought we could have been placed away from this disruption and everyone would have been accommodated. The food was great and our wait staff did a great job. But we were run into a couple of times by children misbehaving. It was disruptive. Given the prices and the chance to have an adult dinner, this was a disappointment.
Our waitress was excellent and attentive. The foos was outstanding.
Out last night at the hotel and we wanted a nice dinner. Good portions and food was very tasty. Was a bit pricey but we expected it. Mario was an amazing server!!
Steak was excellent. The rest of the food was good but not great. Kids menu was lacking. Ruth Chris overall is a better experience with more options. Service was mediocre. Waitress went missing for extended periods. We had an issue with one of the meals and it took a long time to bring it back. The restaurant was steady but now overly busy. She seemed overwhelmed.
We went to Marriott Falls View for vacation Morton’s was our favorite dinning experience
We came in late due to a long drive the restaurant was not busy. We waited for a table to be cleaned which took an extended amount of time greater than 5 min it was a small 2 person table. We were seated and it took awhile for our waitress to come greet us and take our drink order. She finally returned no drinks with her and to please excuse them because they only had one bartender so it was taking a while for drinks to come up. My food came out cold not even luke warm for my steak and my husbands potato was hot and his steak was warm enough. I ordered medium for my steak came out rare and I sent it back which I don’t usually do however just to rare for me. My ribeye was overdone and grizzly. My husbands filet was cooked well and he said the combo of hot potato and steak was good. $250 plus tip for a disappointing meal.
I wanted my steak medium but it came well done. The pasta bolognese wasn’t up to par. The sauce was bland but noodles were good. Service was good. I have been to the one in Chicago which was excellent. No comparison.
Very good they made it special for our 25th anniversary
We were celebrating a special birthday with family and couldn’t fault the venue of course with a great view of Niagara Falls. The meal itself was fabulous, best steaks we’ve ever had and the staff couldn’t have been nicer : polite, friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back.
Tracey our server was excellent providing great advice and insight.
Stayed at the Marriott at Niagara Falls in Ontario Canada. Morton's was the restaurant associated with the hotel. We were looking for a fine dining, steak and potato restaurant. We decided on Morton's. Waiter was honest, and I wanted the flank steak. He indicated they had some complaints, recommended the another cut. My steak was undercooked, and my dining partner's steak was overcooked. Restaurant was loud, and over priced. We would have been better going to outback across the street. Don't waste your money. Restaurant should be taken over by another chain, just not worth the views (could not see the falls for the trees), and the food is just not up to par.
The twice baked au gratin potato were amazing. Loved the 16 oz cajun ribeye.
Very nice steak & chicken where excellent but the vegetables were salty.
Good view, good service, mostly standard Morton's dining experience. Best meal we have had the past couple days in Niagara Falls. Dining across the border here in Canada has been disappointing until we dined here tonight. Finally a good meal!
Terribly disappointed. Worst Morton’s I’ve been to. Service was slow, had to request more drinks, waitress never asked. She had to be reminded. My steak was sadly over cooked and poor cut for a sirloin steak, complained but never offered a replacement and was too hungry to wait so I just ate it. Only positive was that I now know where NOT to go in Niagara.
Diner was wonderful and our waiter was fantastic , I believe his name was Matt
Met our expectations of a Morton's Steakhouse.
Pros: We were seated promptly (made a reservation that turned out to be a good idea) and the food was good.
Cons: The service was so bad when we went that two tables around us got their meals completely comp'd and we got 25% off the bill. It took over an hour and a half to get our food, which was an appetizer and two entrees (no dessert). Because the meal stretched so much longer than expected, we missed the fireworks on our only night there. Additionally, the food was ragingly overpriced, even for the area, and the view of the falls is almost nonexistent because the restaurant is located to low in the hotel.
Steak couldn’t be eaten at all. Returned twice. Server was asking us it’s too much food “do you still wanted bread and butter”?
Worst birthday experience ever!
Was expecting an experience like we had in Chicago, world class service and ambiance. Got nothing like it. Enexperinced wait staff, no dress code at all! (Guy across from me in jogging shorts and flip flops.
There are many other high in places on Niagara try any of them!
We’ve been to several Morton’s around the world and this was outstanding in every way. Never a bad meal at Morton’s of course, but the view and the service was terrific here. Our waitress, Miriam, was particularly excellent. Personable, helpful, attentive, and expert in her menu Couldn’t ask for anything better
Excellent food and service, wonderful views and ambiance.
The view at our table at the falls was wonderful. The service was awful and it took over an hour and a half to get our food. It was so expensive and the steaks were ok but the sides weren’t very good. The bread and butter were good. I don’t think I would go back. It was convenient because it was in our hotel but the bill for 5 of us was $465. Crazy. Nothing special and took so long and they weren’t very busy. Our waitress kept forgetting our wine and things we asked for.
Very disappointed food was not up to Mortons standards.
Wouldn’t go back.
Very attentive staff that was both friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone took the time to make our visit the “special occasion” that it truely was.
