Morton's The Steakhouse - Bethesda
The manager, Todd, and his staff always makes my wife & I feel welcome...Our server, GG, was outstanding!
I swore off Morton’s about a year ago. I was a regular diner there. We had terrible service there one night and the meals came out incorrectly. I spoke with the manager and he had us come out again for dinner on them. Everything was good that time but still switched to Ruth’s Chris. Being Father’s Day we asked where my in-laws wanted to eat and he chose Morton’s. Well I once again remember why we do not dine there anymore. The service was absolutely horrible and they were empty for the most part. Our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes at a time and drinks were ordered and never delivered. The appetizer was not as asked for and one of the steaks was not served correctly. I can spend 700.00 for dinner a lot of places and Morton’s is not one of them again.
We really enjoyed are meal service was great would definitely recommend this
I was there with 3 teenagers- grandkids- waiter seemed immediately disappointed as we were not ordering alcoholic beverages. Tables/dirty dishes cleaned after each course with delay.
Not up to my expectations with Morton’s in NY and Florida!
Bartenders were great! Friendly and helpful! Summer menu is also great@
We went for my son’s graduation. The experience was ok. The lights are way too dimmed in my opinion. So dimmed in fact that some people of our party struggled to read the menu. The food was good (especially the shell fish) but not awesome, which instead is something that you’d expect for the price.
Excellent service from start to finish except that bottled water was not offered again after initial bottles ordered had been served. Several steaks were not cooked to requested temperature preference; one was sent back to the kitchen.
Absolutely LOVE Bethesda's Mortons! Literally the best dining experience in the DC area!
This was one of several visits we have made to Morton's Bethesda. This was a birthday dinner and the staff and particularly our server Raphael were fantastic. We took advantage of several specials and Raphael made some fantastic recommendations. We will return soon!
We went in to try their burger of the month, which was excellent. When we arrived the bar area was quite with just two other groups of customers and the TVs had the Nats and the Phillies playing which was perfect for me as a south jersey transplant. After we ordered, one group of customers asked that one of the two TVs playing the Phillies be changed to the basketball playoff game, that was fine since they were there before us and the Phillies game was playing on one of the other two TVs. However, just before our food arrived another couple came in and asked to change the Phillies game to hockey playoffs - this was done without asking the existing customers were okay with the change. When I asked to change the TV back I was told that playoff games are priority not who arrived first. At this point I did not feel welcome at this bar as a Philadelphia fan! Disappointing experience!!
Clean the walls down. The picture on the walls where very dusty.
About what you would expect
Nice place. Very good food. A little on the pricey side, but you know that going in.
Our waitress Vyktoria was great! She was on top of when we needed water refills and overall a great waitress. She took care of us. As always, the food was great and celebrating. Birthday was fun! We will be back for a graduation at the end of the month in the DC location!
Some of us at the table had the steak/ lobster special combo. Cooked perfectly. We request pink int he middle ,medium, and perfection! The horseradish mashed potatoes..out of this world if you like horseradish and the creamed spinach does not disappoint! The chocolate lava cake for dessert...gone in a snap!
Came to Morton’s for dinner and of course they didn’t disappoint. They made us up a nice appetizer of oysters and shrimp. We both had steaks. Always a great meal here and Ed our server was terrific. See you again soon. Thank you for the great meal.
Today there is a party so understandable that a bit noisy.
We had an amazing time at Morton’s Friday night. The device was amazing, they were always very attentive to us and very knowledgeable of the menu. The steaks were the highlight of the night, I had the porterhouse and my girlfriend had the Filet Mignon. They were cooked to perfection. I was very satisfied and I would totally recommend it
What a difference service can make. Fined at same Morton’s 2 Friday’s in a row. How was excellent and make the expletive so enjoyable that the same food even tasted better! Thanks Joe.
Morton's has always been our go-to for special occasions, but this visit left us reconsidering whether it may be time to look elsewhere. The food was OK, but nowhere near as good as it's been in the past. Same with the service, and just generally the entire experience overall. Morton's has made some changes and not for the better, to include the food preparation, which was just average. It's been a great run, but no longer anything special, which is really a shame because Morton's used to be the best.
Food was very good - service was a bit slow. We waited quite awhile for our bill at the end of the meal - had to have the hostess locate our waiter.
Went for my wifes birthday dinner and they treated us great. Great staff and amazing table service. Our waiter kindly played science trivia with our datghter over the course of the evening (asking each other science questions) great evening
This was our first time at Morton's and I didn't know exactly what to expect. I expected the food to be excellent, especially given how expensive the restaurant is, and some things were. My steak was perfect and my husband's bacon entrée was great, but the appetizer left a lot to be desired, as did the side dishes. Overall I would say it's a nice place to go once a year, but it definitely could use some improvements.
Waiter was great and the restaurant did an excellent job helping us celebrate a birthday.
Food was amazing! Service extraordinary!!!
The hostess was a bit dull not very welcoming but everything else was great.
The service was very much lacking especially with a not very busy dining room. Our server was very unattentive and not very helpful. Restaurant is tired and dated - even thought the hotel has recently had a major renovation - Morton's has not left the '90s. The actual food was very good and cooked correctly. The bartender was very good and pleasant. I could recommend the bar but not the dining room.
Outstanding, once again. Love the seasonal special, always something new to try without ever being disappointed.
This was my first time at Morton's. It was for my boyfriend's birthday. Everything was perfect, the food, the service, the atmosphere. Everything! I highly recommend Morton's Steakhouse.
For a steakhouse of this reputation and price point, we expected it to be better overall. Service was great from start to finish. It was relatively quite as there was only a handful of tables seated at 9PM on a Saturday evening. The air temperature in the restaurant was extremely warm. We were on the other end away from the open kitchen. In the end, it was so warm it really took away from the enjoyment of our dinner. The rib eye steaks we had were slightly over cooked. They were more medium, than medium rare for which we odered. Due to the climate in the restaurant we were not interested in sending it back to wait. The sides were delicious though. When paying over $50 for a steak and $200 for 2 steaks, 2 sides, and 2 drinks, you expect it to cooked as you requested.
Food and service is always great. I receive Morton's emails so I am aware of specials. You always have to ask the server about if they have any. Servers will not volunteer.
And once again 100% perfect. Always enjoy trying the new menu items
Very nice service and the food was very good.
I reserved my table online and the host placed a custom printed menu with our 35th anniversary noted across the top. Food and service was amazing. The General Manager stopped by and made us feel special.
Parking was odd since this is part of a hotel. You can park yourself or valet but it’s still $7 even with the sticker validation. Atmosphere was calm and luxurious. Steak was amazing of course and the sides were really shareable because they were large. We had soufflés for dessert and they were also amazing. You just have to order them as your main meal arrives so they have time to make it.
Came for the Twin Lobster Tail special. It didn't disappoint. Very good. Salads we're great. Had some mixed berries for dessert. Service was very attentive. Missed seeing Todd. Will come again.
The restraunt was great. Very easy for a business discussion. Would recommend to others.
I've been going there for years so I am very comfortable there. Staff is always on their game and quality of food is always superb. Please could use a little sprucing up, maybe ditch the carpet floor, dim the lighting and enlarge the bar if possible. Considering parking yourself is nearly impossible, I feel (and many friends have said the same) that they take advantage of valet parking by charging so much.
But I'll be back again.
The food itself is very mediocre. As a steakhouse, the steak was very disappointing. It was not bad, but very very mediocre. The meat was not juicy, kind of dry and soft at the same time. I had way better steaks in other restaurants. If you take the price into account, the experience was only two stars.
Everything went well great service Waiter was nice
food was great
Great! We’ll go again
The manager, Todd Bricker, and his staff gave my wife and I outstanding service. It was my wife's birthday and they made her feel special and attenddd to her in detail.
Of all the Morton's restaurants we've been too? Todd is one of the best managers to host us.
