Morton's The Steakhouse - Bethesda
For a steakhouse of this reputation and price point, we expected it to be better overall. Service was great from start to finish. It was relatively quite as there was only a handful of tables seated at 9PM on a Saturday evening. The air temperature in the restaurant was extremely warm. We were on the other end away from the open kitchen. In the end, it was so warm it really took away from the enjoyment of our dinner. The rib eye steaks we had were slightly over cooked. They were more medium, than medium rare for which we odered. Due to the climate in the restaurant we were not interested in sending it back to wait. The sides were delicious though. When paying over $50 for a steak and $200 for 2 steaks, 2 sides, and 2 drinks, you expect it to cooked as you requested.
Food and service is always great. I receive Morton's emails so I am aware of specials. You always have to ask the server about if they have any. Servers will not volunteer.
And once again 100% perfect. Always enjoy trying the new menu items
Very nice service and the food was very good.
I reserved my table online and the host placed a custom printed menu with our 35th anniversary noted across the top. Food and service was amazing. The General Manager stopped by and made us feel special.
Parking was odd since this is part of a hotel. You can park yourself or valet but it’s still $7 even with the sticker validation. Atmosphere was calm and luxurious. Steak was amazing of course and the sides were really shareable because they were large. We had soufflés for dessert and they were also amazing. You just have to order them as your main meal arrives so they have time to make it.
Came for the Twin Lobster Tail special. It didn't disappoint. Very good. Salads we're great. Had some mixed berries for dessert. Service was very attentive. Missed seeing Todd. Will come again.
The restraunt was great. Very easy for a business discussion. Would recommend to others.
I've been going there for years so I am very comfortable there. Staff is always on their game and quality of food is always superb. Please could use a little sprucing up, maybe ditch the carpet floor, dim the lighting and enlarge the bar if possible. Considering parking yourself is nearly impossible, I feel (and many friends have said the same) that they take advantage of valet parking by charging so much.
But I'll be back again.
The food itself is very mediocre. As a steakhouse, the steak was very disappointing. It was not bad, but very very mediocre. The meat was not juicy, kind of dry and soft at the same time. I had way better steaks in other restaurants. If you take the price into account, the experience was only two stars.
Everything went well great service Waiter was nice
food was great
Great! We’ll go again
The manager, Todd Bricker, and his staff gave my wife and I outstanding service. It was my wife's birthday and they made her feel special and attenddd to her in detail.
Of all the Morton's restaurants we've been too? Todd is one of the best managers to host us.
The service was great and the staff was curtious, prompt and friendly. Great experience!
Valentines at Mortons was the best!
Rafael was amazing as always!!! Food was amazing will be returning soon!! Thank you everyone who works at Morton’s in Bethesda!!!!
Morton’s is always great but tonight it was exceptional! The tomato and blue cheese salad, shrimp cocktail
, strip, filet, lobster tail, wine, margarita (it’s strong so beware) and the molten chocolate Cale were all perfect tonight as was our waiter.
The medium rare steak was more on a rare side or, as a manager put it, "medium rare minus".
Great food and service! We very much enjoyed the night.
We were seated promptly and our server was there shortly after to greet us. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the grand marnier soufflé was delicious.
Great food and excellent service!
Fantastic!! We were treated like royalty by Phillip Constantine, and by our server Nadia(?). Food was top-notch, too. Perfect date-night experience — and nice to be able to have a grown-up convo without shouting.
It was my birthday. We come here every year. It is the best steak I have ever had. The Chocolate Lava Cake is greatest dessert on the planet. I wish I knew how to make it.
Ashley was an excellent waitress. She was attentive and helpful. I appreciate her taking over for our original waiter who became ill
Very freindly and attenative staff. The dinner was delicious!
As always, wonderful service, great food, and the best Chocolate souffle that I’ve ever had.
Awesome dining experience in every way. Food was delicious and service was top notch. Excellent restaurant week menu. Everyone in our party was thrilled with the food and service.
They are always at the top of their restaurant game. It's my default upper end restaurant of choice, simply do their overall food and service consistency
Good experience. We went during restaurant week, so the food/price was definitely a great deal.
Always a winning experience. Interesting mix of business diners and a spot for the locals.
Fantastic service. Has become very very pricey for the portion size
It was restaurant week and we were not offered the restaurant week menu. Had to ask and waited a long time to get menu. Other than that, service was good. Food was not as good as in the past.
It was a restaurant week and we want to celebrate friends birthday! We choose the Morton steak house! It was disappointing. I had Morton’s salad! It was awful! Couldn’t even have a second bite. It was nothing special about it and there was hardly any salad dressing on it. They chopped greens and topped one tiny anchovies on top. Main dish was good which I had steak - filet. Deserts were OK! If you order hot chocolate cake it was extra $10. I didn’t realize this restaurant is part of the hotel! We will not go back for sure...
Always a great meal, especially restaurant week for the cost! Great service and our waitress was very attentive even though the restaurant was very busy! We will be back!
My friend and I were celebrating our belated birthdays and went to enjoy Restaurant Week. The soups were great as was the steak and salmon but the potato side dishes and salads are much better at Ruth Chris.
The service was lovely and getting out picture taken to celebrate was lovely.
Waiter had no personality and wasn’t very responsive to our requests. Steak was burnt and dry even though I got medium rare. Maybe they use bad food for the restaurant week special? Who knows, but a little disappointed because Morton’s has been great in the past.
We decided to go to Morton's for my daughter's 23rd birthday - and, boy, did we make the right choice!!! Morton's made the evening special right from the beginning with a menu that had "Happy Birthday" and the date printed at the top of the menu. Our waiter even rolled it up with a ribbon for a souvenir. We had an AMAZING souffle comped for our birthday dessert! And, OF COURSE, our steaks were perfect! The evening was full of wonderful food, service, and ambience!
Delicious dinner and excellent service. The porkchop was huge. The tenderloin perfectly rare. Meat is excellent here. The hot onion bread is addicting. But the creamed spinach was slightly heavy on the nutmeg. And desserts are a necessary splurge, if you aren’t too stuffed by then.
We went for restaurant week and it was fantastic. We arrived 10 minutes early and they offered to seat us immediately or we could choose to wait. Our server was outstanding as was our food. We went to 3 different places this year for restaurant week and Morton's was far and away the best. We'll be back long before the next restaurant week.
Service was excellent for restaurant week. Definitely recommend ordering the rib eye vs. the sirloin.
