Arrived 5 minutes early for our 7pm reservation. We didn't get seated till 7:30pm
The filet was exceptional and many choices were provided, the legendary hot chocolate cake is a must try!
From walking in the front door to walking out our experience with the evening was absolutely fantastic.
Terrific as usual, great ambiance. Perfect for a romantic evening or a business lunch or dinner. Surrounded by wonderful shops and a cinema to round out the day or evening outing.
Very busy restaurant this time of year and a loud crowd.
We stood to be seated for 15 mins as others walking in were seated before is. We all had reservations.
Appetizers came fast but main was real slow. Two steaks were bang on and mine rare and not medium. Took a while to get our cocktails to kick start the evening.
Great location and fun crowd maybe just too busy to meet their usually high service standards
I'm afraid I was a little disappointed with the service. The restaurant was not full, yet the wait staff seemed to rush us. They tried to take the bread and plates before our entree arrived and I had to stop them. Then I was still eating my meal and the wait staff proceeded to take my lunch mate's plates making me rush through my meal AND took my break plate with my last bite of bread before I could finish. I will go again but speak up to the staff if they rush me again.
We had a great meal. Steak was tender and delicious. Everything was terrific. Great service as well.
Music much to loud.......soft holiday music much better........service food, great......BUT. turn down volume, business to discuss
Service and ambiance were excellent, consistent with the price. The meal was mass produced, with coconut oil substituted for butter in the Bearnaise Sauce so the sauce would sit longer without degrading. Our steak and lobster tail tasted like suntan lotion. If we'd had the business man's three-martini appetizer, we never would have noticed the coconut oil. Instead, we had the oysters on the half-shell, which were perfect. We wished the rest of the meal had met that standard. As a Chicagoan, I am embarrassed.
Lighting was too bright. Musics was too loud. Service was very slow.
For over 20 years Mortons has been considered our “special occasion” restaurant where we have dined at least 5 times over this past year. Sad to say , that although the food is still top notch, the service and overall ambience has been continually declining and has reached an all time low at our last visit. When you pay $60 for a steak you should expect first class service not only from the wait staff but from managamegnt a well. It appears that long gone are the days where someone can get a classy meal where you are not surrounded by t-shirt clad classless patrons, a hostess not offering to check your coats, and inexperienced wait staff. For the price point , you really are better off going to another venue where you will ultimately get your moneys worth -simply put, Mortons has lost its allure.
Always a wonderful and quality experience.
Celebrated the graduation from USMC OCS of a nephew, great staff and meal, as is typically the case at any Morton's.
Awesome food, service was great and the ambiance is PERFECT!!
Waitress seated us near open window kitchen although there were PLENTY of other EMPTY tables. She took forever with our drinks even though Place was relatively empty. She never brought us bread although we asked for it. We stopped a passing waiter and asked him for it. He brought it to us ten seconds later. Waitress ruined an anniversary evening for us.
We had dinner at this location of this restaurant twice and both the time the service was extremely slow and the food was below average. It’s an expensive place and we have always enjoyed our meal at Morton’s location in DC and Arlington and was expecting the same however it was not the case.
Our last dinner on Sunday - November 3rd is the last time we are going here.
Our server Daria was awesome! Did more than just "wait" on us. Very engaging and made the meal a memorable one!
It tastes good. Very good.
Probably slightly overpriced (especially for some sides) but you know what you're getting into when you go to Morton's. Don't let that stop you.
(Note - I'm not a big drinker, so all I can say about the wine and cocktail menus is "they are big" and "there are a lot of them")
The staff went above and beyond to make our night special.
Our service was pretty bad. The waiter was never around. It was dim and very loud. While the food was good, the cost was too high
We go to Mortons several times per year and it never fails to impress. Excellent food, service and wine selection make it a consistent performer.
We were not disappointed. The new cauliflower augratin is excellent.
BUT, PLEASE think about having a prime rib night. I was so disappointed when that was taken off the menu!!!
The service and atmosphere is not as good/nice as other Morten’s or even the Ruth Christ over in Fairfax or Crystal city. We were here two year or so ago and it was great, but things appear to have changed. We did notice that if you were one of the local “regulars” they were seated earlier and had more attention from the staff, but overall the entire staff appeared nervous/hectic/over-tasked. I would rather drive into DC proper for the same quality meal and higher-end service at a different Morten’s . Don’t get me wrong, this is still a high-end Morten’s for steak, but it has that small town politics feel which isn’t what I expect for $100/meal. Maybe just hit Jackson’s up the street. Service is better, steak is good, prices about half.
Every thing was great
Great food. Enjoyable atmosphere. Wonderful service.
Quiet evening together to celebrate my birthday
Opted to take a high top in the bar. Table service was excellent. Nice to see bar staff working together to stay on top of our dining.
Great menu knowledge. Drinks always timely without being pushy.
Would never have guessed but the Shinto pepper appetizer was really very good. Recommend a “Mortini” with this dish. The fresh blue cheese olives make a perfect fit.
Always enjoy myself here
Excellent menu selections. Servers were exceptionally attentive. Meals came quickly and were delicious!
We have celebrated several anniversaries at this restaurant. There is a Morton's closer to our home that we pass by in order to dine at the Reston location because we like staff and dining room at Reston best of all. Window shopping at the Reston Town Center before and after dinner is also a great experience and worth the trip.
We had the lobster bisque and both got extremely sick right after we left. I eat at Morton's a lot. This is a first.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. It was nothing short of awesome. We were provided outstanding service, complimentary anniversary photo and dessert.
Great dining experience at Morton's in Reston! This was my second Morton's experience and I have to say that this experience blew the last one away. The Prime, Bone-in Ribeye was top notch and on my short list of best steaks. The other diners with me also thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well. The server was engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining.
Overall great experience, keep up the good work!
Fatima gave us outstanding service and made us feel like rock stars!!!
Outstanding! Thank you Maura.
Wonderful atmosphere and very attentive staff. A bit pricy but delicious food!
Excellent service, amazing food, a perfect dining experience. The staff went out of their way to help us celebrate a special evening. It was unexpected and we were grateful to have had such a great time.
Love Morton's and our waiter Alex was top notch--professional and attentive. He made the dining experience even more wonderful. As always, the filet mignon was fork tender and delicious and the bernaise was perfect.
Disappointed with this dinner out. I expect exceptional quality when I dine at Mortons and this was just ok. French onion soup was very garlicky and gave me an upset stomach that evening and next day. Au gratin potatoes were recommended and I did not think they were anything special. Filet Mignon was just ok. Not very tasteful at all.
Lighting was too low at 6:30 PM. This is all I have to say even if it does not add to 50 characters.
