   This was an unsual Ukrainian restaurant with an interesting backstory. The food was very different and we enjoyed it. The service was great- polite and interested to chat and explain the food, wine etc. The majority of customers were Ukrainain but we were welcomed and included. Got chatting to the table next to us :) Thankyou.

   Decor is really interesting. Staff are absolutely charming. They gave us a yummy complimentary fruity vodka shot before desert. The food was delicious and quite distinctly Ukrainian. The borshch and the rabbit in sour cream were superb. Would definitely recommend.

   We had a delicious meal on Sunday- really enjoyed the borsch and kiev cake in particular. Each dish we ordered was thoroughly enjoyed.

   New modern restaurant in the heart of Earls court.I had a lunch here today.Golubtsy so delicious also had a glass of red savignion from Ukraine.was nice. I was so surpriced that waitress are not allowed to speak russian.Well,i am Russian,but its ok didnt make me feel uncomfortable.Will probably come back with a friends

   Looks like the place is understaffed while quite a few people are hanging around the open kitchen chatting to the cooks. - It took the team a while to get us to the table although a couple was free. Long time to get the menu, even longer to take the order. The wine we selected was out, the waitress suggested us to take a bottle that was double the price and not even in the wine list - part of the revenue from those wines goes to the refugees but still it is severely overpriced for the quality. Tongue with barley was severely over-salted to the uneatable state. On the flip side the Rest of the food (forshmak, borsch, chicken kiev, honey cake) was great and we got a free desert as a bonus. In the end of the night chef came over to check on us - apparently he was not in tonight. Was a nice finishing touch but didnt compensate for a less then enjoyable evening.

    I am still talking about my experience at Mriya days later and recommending it to all my friends & colleagues. The food was flavoursome, and the staff knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back

    Very tasty ukrainian food. Beautiful place. A little bit pricey compared to other good restaurants in Central London, where the bill is £50-60 for 2 people. In Mriya bill was £85 without drinks for 2 people.

    The food was delicious. Wine from Ukraine nicely complimented dishes. Personal was very friendly. The one downside which ruined experience is that air conditioning was blowing so much it was freezing on the ground floor and this is where we were seated. I assume it was due to an open plan kitchen but the draft was too much especially on a rainy day in mid-November. Will definitely come back and recommend this great place but will request table away from air con and ventilation.

    Happy to give detailed feedback on food, but it was tasty. Service was a little shambolic: mains brought before starters cleared and we had to wait for our drinks while we ate our mains. It’s a new restaurant and could do with a stronger front of house presence to manage the young staff. A nice touch would have been for the chef (it’s his new venture), who was in an open kitchen as we walked in, to come and say hello at the end, or to have greeted us (or at least smiled and said hello!) as we walked in. Wine by the glass was a little overpriced. They made delicious flavoured vodkas, can strongly recommend. I was interested in buying a bottle which they sell. But guys, £80!? I think £40/45 a more reasonable price. That said the young guy who showed us the vodka told us a nice story about it (ingredients from Ukraine etc). The restaurant has a good story to tell, but just needs a bit more finesse in the way it relates to customers.

    Service was ok, but we felt a little bit rushed, even tho restaurant wasn’t that busy. Downside is when you leave restaurant your clothes smells like fried food if your table is on a ground floor, where open plan kitchen is.

    I went to the restaurant with my husband who is English to enjoy the Ukrainian cuisine. He ordered duck breast as a main (which is not very traditional), I went for chicken Kyiv. At the end, his duck was perfect, while my chicken Kyiv was very fair. It was dry inside and when I cut there was no butter coming out of it. They didn’t have the cake which I wanted, and the waitress offered me Kyiv cake instead. The cake was nice, very close to the original. Overall mixed feelings as my husband was satisfied while my impression was ruined due to the main course.

    Second time in a week we have been to the restaurant and it was as wonderful as the first visit. This time we took friends and they were as equally delighted. Sophisticated delcious food and great service.

    Went to the restaurant for a romantic dinner with my partner, for which the place would be ideal: soft music, nice food and cozy atmosphere. The only problem was that we were seated next to a table with 3 rowdy children that took off their shoes and started playing like they were in a bouncy castle. I know it is not a problem with the restaurant, but the fact is that the place is really small and the servers should have, at least, said something to the mother to calm the children down. I fear that the staff is too nice (also quite young) to actually say anything to the customer. That is both positive as it is negative in this case. A part from that I loved all the food and will be coming back as much as I can. Probably one of my new favourite places in London. The only other nitpicking note would be that the desserts are quite a let down compared to the rest: they are not bad, but there is little choice and the quality is quite mediocre, especially when you are coming off the high that are the main courses.

    Phenomenal started. Duck bit tricky to cut but delicious. Apple and curd were incredible. Felt rather rushed so maybe offer cocktails with that superb sea buckthorn? Also we would have spent more money on wine if we’d not been so rushed. 1.5 hours for a Saturday evening isn’t what we’re used to when there’s such great food on offer. Thank you

    I really really wanted like to Mriya Neo.. the people and the menu were good and the food itself was good but a little expensive for the quality of some of the ingredients used. I’m not sure if it was just where we’re located but not the ground floor there was zero vibe / ambiance. Party or do to the lighting and quite cramped setup. That staff were incredible and very attentive but overall, I would not recommend to Mriya to a friend or plan to revisit. Which is really sad as I had been really excited to try it out. That said, please don’t let my experience stop you from giving it ago yourself, especially if affordability isn’t a problem. But if this would be an extra super and expensive trip for you. I’d recommend Mari Vanna or Ognisko in the same part of town and in my opinion slightly better value for money.
