Mulligans of Sandymount
Within seconds of the Aviva stadium and the lovely Sandymount Strand, Mulligans of Sandymount is the perfect place for pre-walk bites, post-match drinks and all things in between.
Mulligans has firmly established itself as one of Dublin’s eminent sporting pubs with all the top football, rugby and hurling matches showing on the screens. Not just a jubilant hotspot on match days, those with more traditional tendencies can also enjoy our famous food surrounded by the old Irish style wooden interiors creating the feel of an authentic Irish pub.
As well as an extensive selection of draft and bottled beers and ciders, spirits and wines, Mulligans also offer a mount-watering range of cocktails.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Highly recommend the chicken wings and the sweet potato truffle fries with Parmesan
Excellent food. Short menu, cooked really well. Service first class. Reasonably priced for such quality served locally, avoiding taxis in and out of town ( and absolutely not guaranteed similar quality) And always served with a smile. Thank you Mulligans
We booked through Open Table. When we got there, we learned that an Open Table booking meant that we wanted fine dining. However, our waitress was kind enough to allow us to order from the bar menu. The service and food (seafood chowder, fish and chips and salad) were very good. The noise level was high because the bar was full of patrons who had just come from a rugby match which Ireland won. A good place to go for dinner.
Pre match meal, match day lunch menu very poor. Husband got fish and chips. Fish was soggy and full of water, it was obviously frozen and just thrown in a fryer, it cost €16 very bad value for money. I got pratis bravis and felt sick the whole day after. Service was very bad, we won’t be back.
very enjoyable meal ,food was lovely presented ,tasty and enjoyed by a party 7 adults .The Staff were very pleasant , would certainly make a return visit.
Lovely food, nice ambiance. Little pricey but worth it.
Good burger, even by London standards. Very good fries. Service was decent. I would go back.
As always superb food and outstanding service and welcome from Bernie
Very nice decor with excellent staff. The brunch menu was varied from traditional Irush breakfast to potatos gravis. A bit expensive for what you got but overall a pleasant experience.
We absolutely loved our dinner at mulligans. The food was amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Staff were pleasant and friendly. The food was very good and portions were good, not too large.
The meal I had in Mulligans of Sandymount was second to none. Checked out the recommended House Red which paired beautifully with the Ribeye Steak with Red Wine Jus with the Deconstructed Baileys Cheesecake for desert finished off the meal perfectly. Not to mention the Black Sole which was on special.
All recommended and service by the extremely tentative and knowledgeable Bernie who provided an excellent service on a rainy ☔ Summers Father's Day.
A delightful evening and I'll be back again, in better weather hopefully.
Thank guys 💐
Nice food and service, as always.Great to have as local pub.
Gute Location, Service sehr aufmerksam, das Essen super lecker.
We celebrated my dad's birthday here and we were very impressed! The service was great and the food was delicious! We mentioned to the server it was my dad's birthday and they gave us his dessert free with a candle! Very nice touch to our evening! Steak was amazing, we can't wait to come back :)
Amazing dinnear best stake around the area with out a doubght love this place service outstanding will definitely be comming back soon thanks mulligans at sandymont
Sadly only one vegetarian option on menu which was polenta with a few roast veggies on top and a sprinkling of goats cheese. Very bland and tasteless. Could not eat it.
Enjoyed the meal was great sit down before ethe rugby
Amazing food in a lovely setting. Everything from our daughter’s “kids meal” to the Tomahawk steak we shared was absolutely fantastic. Great service and wine selection as well!
Great food and great service. Accommodated us really well before the match!
Six of us had lunch at Mulligans prior to the Leinster V Ulster game last Saturday. Food was excellent as was the Guiness. The only disappointment on the day was Leinster's 3 point win.
Food was very good, had the Sunday roast, my daughter (10) had the children’s portion which was tiny and again expensive for what you got.
Lovely staff, went for lunch during a match day and the food was great, as was the atmosphere.
We really enjoyed the evening. The fillet steaks were superb, not to mention the delicious wheaten bread. It was excellent overall and we will definitely be back!
Such a fab meal. We both said it was the nicest rack of lamb we’d ever eaten!
Had the chowder and it was bland. Wouldn’t go back
Lovely venue with very good and attentive staff
The food was simple but very tasty just like mother used to make
Very friendly service and was able to sit in the bar to eat having requested to be close to a screen to be able to watch one of the Six Nations matches. Uncomfortable though as the stools are really high and your legs don't fit under the table. I booked based on the fact that Mulligans is described as having established itself firmly as one of Dublin's eminent sporting pubs. I disagree with this. Yes it has screens but they won't even put the sound up for the matches in fear of disturbing those seated in the restaurant. This spoilt our visit if I am honest. The food was excellent and really tasty but we came primarily so we could watch the match in a sports pub. Atmosphere was a bit boring unfortunately.
What a great location for lunch before watching the rugby at the Aviva. Just a 10- 15 minute walk. There was a great atmosphere, the pub is charming. The staff were really attentive and experienced at handling a busy rugby crowd, so service was slick in both the restaurant and the bar. There was a reduced match day menu, which helped the speed of service, but certainly no compromise on quality or portions. The Irish stew, Cottage Pie and Fish and chips were all excellent as was the chocolate fondant pudding. Thank you Mulligans!
Tomahawk steak is amazing, and the service is great!
Very limited menu with an unaccommodating and unfriendly waitress. Anyone who is trying to reduce red meat consumption should avoid.
Great food as always
Will definitely go again as go to Dublin every new year
The food at Mulligans was very good with good service
nice restaurant nice people love it to be there
We where with de familie in Dublin with Chrismis and having a good time
Fish of the day, black sole, was excellent. Some of the best fish I’ve ever had!
First visit on a colleagues recommendation. First class food great seafood and steak and excellent service. Well worth a visit
Excellent venue from the moment we arrived, service was friendly and very attentive. We arrived early and were offered our table or the opportunity to have drinks st the bar. We chose out table in the cosy restaurant. We were served very good Guinness and one if the best bloody Mary’s I’ve had in years. The food lived up to its reputation. Really tasty and tender surf & turf. I chose fillet it was a generous portion very tender with wonderful flavour. Great vegetables followed by a delicious and varied cheese board. Wine was very good also. Likewise their fish. Looking forward to returning.
Wonderful service. Great food. One negative thing was on internet previewed menu which was old!!!
