Mustard Ratings and Reviews
The fish and the seafood linguini were both delicious and our friends who are vegetarian were delighted with the choice on the vegan menue. Excellent Sicilian house red. This was our first visit to this part of London and we could not have made a better choice. Would certainly come back.
Such a lovely lunch. I went with my boss and four colleagues. The service was lovely, attentive but relaxed and the girls that served us were so friendly. I would definitely return for dinner and would recommend. The fishcake was fab and the Rhubarb dessert were great. lovely small cocktail menu that was very reasonable.
Absolutely brilliant restaurant. Superb food, excellent value. Only reason food quality hasn't received an "outstanding" is because my girlfriend had to send her steak back as it didn't come medium rare as ordered. However when it returned it was perfect and the servers were apologetic and extremely efficient. Everything else was absolutely perfect.
I just loved this restaurant! Such a lovely vibe, very pub like but without the noise and rowdiness of a pub. The starter I had (goats cheese) was very fresh but nothing notable, however, the fish main was one of the best fish dishes I have ever had!
I was here with a friend who had the soup of the day and loved it. She had the burger for a main and thought it was great. I tasted her fries which were really lovely and clearly homemade.
The service was super friendly. We ate with the 50% off the main course when having a three course meal deal, and ended up with a bill that I cannot imagine having in the cheapest of pubs. Fantastic quality, and absolutely stunning considering what we paid! I cannot wait to go again!
Forget the chains in Hammersmith or Westfield. Where would we be without Mustard? Relaxed yet professional service & interesting choices of food always makes this brilliant Brook Green destination our first choice. We have been coming to Mustard for 6 months now, it's safe to say it's a favourite. As regulars, we have tried most of the menu & since it recently changed we have been happy to start over! The tables are roomy enough for everything (other restaurants we find a squeeze!) and the layout is generous, so you can have your own experience without bumping into others. With our dog tucked under the table & wine or coffee in our hands, we are happy here. Hoepfully the newly opened place on the corner complements rather than detracts from Mustard as Brook Green becomes a food destination. I think next door is a better choice for casual family brunches, let Mustard keep a bit of old fashioned glam!
A short walk away from the hubbub of Shepherd's Bush. Mustard sits cafe/bistro style, against the road with large windows or outdoor seating for people watching. Decor is fresh & tasteful - homage to Paris early C20 cafe/bistro. A good sharp amaretto sour went down well while choosing from the broad & varied menu. Extensive wine & cocktail list and one of the few places in London not to charge through the roof for prosecco or champagne. Foodwise, some old favourites: a steak, a burger. But some fresh new dishes too. I had a delicious cockles & leek starter which came beautifully presented & cooked in rich, creamy cheesy sauce. To die for. Main course was a chicken stew... could have done with a bit more chicken, but tasted rich & Iberian. Would also highly recommend the huge fluffy delicious bread & butter pudding! In summary, attentive but considerate service; not rushed, lovely atmosphere and good food with quality ingredients. Great value set menu. Will visit again.
Spotted on our way out of our hotel and decided it loooked good. Booked on interweb and went in for dinner on our way back to our hotel after a lovely day in London. What a lovely reception, great menu. Good wine list, great service and atmosphere. We really enjoyed our evening at mustard.
It was our first time at this restaurant, and we will certainly visit it again. We were there for Sunday lunchtime, and it quickly became full, but notably the acoustics were still good even when full. Toilets clean also - always a good sign! The service was very pleasant and efficient, and we did not feel at all rushed, but neither was there a delay at any time. The produce and ingredients seemed very fresh, and both chicken and steak meals had good flavour. We noticed that at weekends (or certainly on a Sunday), the Brunch menu extends right through to late afternoon, and we don't think the A La Carte menu was available, apart from a few selected items.
We enjoyed a very nice dining experience here with our friends at the Bank Holiday weekend. We were offered a lovely table near a window as requested and service was friendly and attentive. Each of us found our starters and mains delicious (the mushroom poêlée on toasted brioche was SO moorish) and the wine list provided a good selection at fair prices. A great local in a lovely brasserie environment.
Great find in Shebu! We met french friends for brunch. They were horrified at the tagline "British Brasserie" ;-) but loved the food which is a good sign. Crab was great but we got extra sides which was a good idea as it was small. Veggie + normal full breakfasts were superb. Only issue was the Bloody Mary jug which may not have had any vodka in it at all. Would nonetheless recommend! Very nice decor, ambiance and terasse.
