The place was a lot smaller than I expected. The staff were knowledgeable.
The menu was small, which always help when making a decision.
Very cosy and welcoming.
Comfortable, easy going atmosphere.
Yummy food, with a science behind it which made it fun.
I love Mythology, and I love the new decor but I do think it's lost its touch for brunch. While I understand vegan food isn't cheap, I still think $22 for two 3 inch latkes and what was basically half a sandwich was too much. I was still hungry afterwards and if that's the case, the restaurant has failed in its job. I think what's worse was it was delicious so I was very much left wanting more. Other party members had cold half cooked "egg" and we were given cold coffee twice in a row. Over all for the $50 plus tip we spent, it was not worth it. Little things that added up to an ok experience and not the amazing one I'm used to when attending.
Love this incarnation of Mythology. Music a bit too loud but overall, great food, service, and space. Check it out.
I was looking for a spot for dinner for one night in Toronto and came across mythology online. I liked the look so went ahead and booked a reservation. The food, ambiance and decor were all excellent and really made it a great experience.
Our waitress was amazing. Even though the place was busy, it was like we were the only table there, and she made sure we were always taken care of! Great food and service with the ambiance to go with it!
Service was wonderful. Server was attentive, knowledgeable about the wine and food, and we felt well looked after. Wine list was very good. Food was very good, servings quite generous, especially liked the appetizers - calamari, and avocado tuna tartar.
Exceptional food, bursting to the full with flavour. Excellent amuse bouche when we first sat down. Excellent cocktails. Lovely decor and ambience. Service was great and staff were really lovely and accommodating. Only recommendation to bring the whole place to the next level would be to step up the professional of the service staff - but that comes with time and experience.
Most of it was great. The Tuna tartar seemed very salty to one of the two parties. The Mushroom Rav was perfect. The mock Kumquat Jalapeno had all the simple syrup in one place in the drink. The Coo Vin seemed spongy and lacking in flavour. The floors are really slippery. There is one point where the floor dips down when walked upon.
Wonderful, super tasty brunch 🥞 Little bit chilly inside but a beautiful space and excellent service.
Cannot recommend this place enough. Outstanding vegan food with exceptional customer service!
Delicious and super creative dishes. Absolutely love mythology it never disappoints.
We loved the brunch menu and the perfectly-on-theme decor! It was bright and inviting inside. The drinks were creative and delicious, too! We are so glad we found this place!
Amazing breakfast, great gluten free options! There is something for everyone !
Great food, great service.
Our server was THE BEST. So helpful and knowledgeable with a wonderful attitude. I love the concept and design very much. Menu is inspired and beautiful and the virgin cocktails were amazing! I’d eat here all the time if I lived in the area and can’t wait to go back once I’ve given birth to enjoy the full cocktail menu! Don’t miss the calamari, it’s exceptional!
We were honestly slightly underwhelmed. The garlic aioli on the panisse was not garlicky at all. Just could've had more flavour overall in all the dishes. But that's just our preference maybe! Excellent waiter, but the waitress we sometimes had didn't know the explanations of the dishes, and we couldn't hear her half the time :)
Vegan food at it’s finest! Beautiful for the eye and the stomach.
As good of food as high end places I have been to in Chicago, LA and Miami.
I can’t say enough good things to do this place justice. We missed out on their Sunday brunch and regret it.
Go and enjoy!!!
I would still recommend Mythology. I have rarely been disappointed there until this weekend. The soy milk for my coffee was curdled, and the latke and seitan in the Croque Monsieur were tasteless. The food was incredibly bland. I would go back for dinner but not so sure about brunch.
Excellent and inventive food. Outstanding service. The scallop special was amazing, I hope they are considering making it a menu item. Calamari was so convincing I was shocked. Delicious. Too full for dessert but, looking forward to trying next time. Will be back (with carnivores to convert 😜).
The food was great, love the palace and ambiance! We waited a long time for the food because a mistake was made... and I think it’s a little too expensive.
Food, alcool, service, decor... Everything was perfect.
I've been to Mythology twice and both experiences were the same. It was a very cool experience in terms of the atmosphere and the service. Everything looked absolutely beautiful, from the furniture to the cutlery. The food also looked very beautiful and impressive but unfortunately the taste didn't meet the same standards as everything else. The ravioli dough felt undercooked, the "grits" were tough and tasted like citrus which was weird and not enjoyable. The shakshuka tasted like it came straight from the can of crushed tomatoes that I use to make my meals at home. The eggs looked very impressive but tasted just okay. The hollandaise sauce tasted too sweet and it tasted like almond milk. I was ready to pay a lot because it's a fancy restaurant but the food just didn't warrant paying all the money for...it seems like so much care and attention went into the look of things that the taste was compromised. Yes, it looks exactly like eggs..which is an awesome science experiment...but I think the taste needs to be worked on to warrant paying so much for eating there.
Food was great, plate presentation was lit, waiter was fun and nice, place was chic, cosy, beautiful ambiance, loved the experience ! Will go back for sure nect time I’m in Toronto !!!
The food was excellent and this is the place to bring non vegans for a lively food experience. Who knows, you may even convert the scepticals!!
The service was excellent and the atmosphere was upbeat
Absolutely fantastic. Our server was very good, and the food was amazing!
Definitely one of my top 5 dining experiences. The food was refined but not pretentious. The flavours were deep and complex but not overwhelming. Diana, our server was awesome. She is knowledgable and engaged in friendly banter but gave us space to have our own evening. The space is just the right size to be cozy but not claustrophobic. The benches are a bit uncomfortable so hopefully that will change. The music was excellent but I like it to be a bit quieter to be able to have quiet conversations. Highly recommended.
Everything was cooked and presented with a true professional at the helm. Visiting from Vancouver but will definitely come again to eat here
Service was fantastic. Food was pretty good, interesting flavor combinations. Portions were too small though - I get that they are going for an elevated experience (and corresponding prices), but I think 4 ravioli for $24 is a little too pricey. The dessert was the equivalent size of maybe 3 timbits. After a main and a dessert, I walked away feeling like I hadn't had a full meal.
Excellent food excellent service.
Renovation resulted in a far more comfortable environment......the food was spectacular as always.....service was beyond expectations......great evening......THANKS !!!
Great food and music.
Server was awesome.
I am sorry excited to visit again
WOW! What a wonderful evening- from arrival to leaving everything was perfect! Congratulations on a fabulous fine dining addition to the vegan world! If you're looking for high end and quality fine dining, look no further.
Cannot wait to return!
Lovely ambiance, creative and tasty food. It was slightly salty but tasty none the less.
Exceptional food , amazing atmosphere. Great service.
An unforgettable experience in vegan food
Our server, Nick, was amazing! He was everything you'd want in a server. His recommendations were perfect. The food was a feast for the eyes and the palate. Great care is obviously taken in the preparation and presentation of each dish. It's nourishing to the soul to enjoy such a meal with the knowledge that exploitation of animals is not involved. I'm so glad to have discovered Mythology and can't wait to return, on my next visit to Toronto.
FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! DIDN'T THINK YOU WERE EATING VEGAN AT ALL!!!
WAITER NICK IS VERY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS ON TOP OF THINGS....
GOING BACK TOMORROW NIGHT WITH A GIRLFRIEND WHO IS VEGAN..... STAND BY.... HA...
LOVED THE RAVIOLI AND THE CHICK PEA FRIES... DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! YUMMMMY!
ALSO THE DESSERT WHICH WAS A POACHED PEAR IN SOME KIND OF LIQUOUR AND DATE CAKE....DELICIOUS
Food was not very impressive, but might have been what we ordered (avocado app, lobster special, brussel sprouts and Caesar salad). Lacked flavour and the brussel sprouts were dry. We were also not informed that the lobster was more of an app than an entry. Lovely atmosphere but food could use improvement.
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! The food was delicious and our server was very friendly, attentive and knew the menu inside and out. We had a lovely time!
I absolutely loved the old Mythology, so I was pumped to try Version 2.0!
My glazed tofu on crispy sushi rice was REALLY good, but the coq au vin with garlic mash my husband ordered was REALLY bad. It tasted like a wet sponge. And honestly, we typically love everything. Our server pointedly asked how we liked it, and when we told him, he said that they were changing the recipe because the feedback hadn’t been stellar. He then quickly and graciously replaced it with the cauliflower, which was much better, but still not exactly mind-blowing. The coq au vin was such a let-down, I doubt we’ll be back...I’m surprised McNish missed the mark on a seitan dish of all things.
The panisse chickpea fries were crispy and tasty (we fought over the last one), but the mushroom appetizer with fingerling potatoes I chose was a surprisingly bland instant regret. Desert was meh.
They’re going for a much more upscale menu, so there are only a few curated choices, as they do in most fine dining establishments. As a diner there was a lot more to select from, and this new menu has a lot of mushroom in it, so if, like my weirdo husband, you don’t love mushrooms, you’re even more limited.
My other critique is that while very ‘Queen West’ stylish, it’s not particularly comfortable; they sat us at a high top table, which I absolutely loathe. There were two other tables for two that sat empty for the almost 2 hours we were there, but apparently they couldn’t move us.
I know that based on this review I sound super picky, but man, I just had high hopes, especially at the much higher price tag! I’d rather have the old Mythology back. I miss the wings.
The service was excellent, though. 🤷🏻♀️
Absolutely delicious, beautiful cocktails and food!
