An extraordinary experience of having mordern Thai food, especially the starter was excellent. The spicy was just perfect to us and did not alternate the taste of food.
The services was good and the atmosphere was just perfect for us to enjoy a birthday lunch!
Awesome combination of fish & shellfish. Autentic Thai flavors. We are coming back
Amazing set menu, extremely creative, mixture of spice levels....very fun evening! Staff was very friendly and helpful but not over the top. Will definitely be back on next visit to Bangkok.
It was really nice to try a star restaurang with asien food. We are use to visit star restaurang but never with asien food.
The first half of the meny we had, discovery, was very good, but the other half its to spicy. In my opinien its to destroy good products to but that much spice to the food. I mean to but that much greenpepper in a waguy meat its to destoy the best meat. The very nice shrimp only taste chili. You can use all kind of produkt when you put that much spice in it. You dont need waguy then.
And i did not like that they put all food at the same time on the table, it make me feal stress because i dont want the food cool.
But totaly it was a very nice experience and im happy we whent there.
The last time I was in Bangkok, in 2018, I couldn't get a reservation. So I was excited to go on this visit. Let me start by saying that the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, poor timing and disorganization made for a disappointing experience. The first couple of courses arrived pretty quickly and smoothly but the main courses piled up on the table. As a result; some of the food was lukewarm as we ate it. And we were also both required to order the same tasting menu when we’d have preferred to try 2 different menus. Needless to say, it was a poor experience for a much anticipated special night out. There are a lot of great dining choices in Bangkok spend your money at one of them.
Overpriced. Over promised and u set delivered. Poor service. Food was cold. Very disappointing.
3 dishes from first were nice and charming. But unfortunately after that I could not get any satisfaction from those foods.
Nahm was a wonderful dining experience. The service was attentive and very accommodating. The ingredients were top quality, beautifully spiced - a real treat for the tastebuds, encouraging us to try a variety of new dishes, which we greatly enjoyed. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet comfortable. The only thing letting the meal down was the dessert course. You could see that the Chef(s) were more comfortable cooking the entrees and mains and the desserts lacked imagination, taste and in some instances were quite unpleasant. But overall a lovely dining experience we would recommend.
Only criticism - the restaurant was over chilled. Would have been fine if we had sweaters or jackets with us. Otherwise superb!
Food was hit or miss, plus too many dishes from 3 different courses (9) all came at once. Bad idea.
Amazing flavors. Beautifully presented
Shockingly bad. Nahm has been on our radar for a couple of years, since achieving high ranks on the World’s 50 Best and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants lists. We were unaware until after dining here that they recently changed chefs, and the food has rapidly declined since.
Guests can choose between 4 different tasting menus, priced around $110 USD each. Only a few dishes were good, with the majority being monotonous, improperly seasoned, sour, and salty. The pacing of the meal was strange-amuse Bouche, and a few small appetizer bites, then everything else all at once. It was overwhelming having a table crowded with boring dishes that ranged from okay to inedible. There were 5 or so dishes that we could not even eat. Avoid!
Amazing place! The dishes on the prefixe were generous and so delicious. Vivianne took good care of me and made the meal memorable by alerting the staff of my birthday and having them sing. I was truly surprised
This place is simply amazing, I recommend Nahm to all my foreign friends coming to Bangkok. I missed the a la Carte menu last time we went, but you still get 5 stars as everything was impossible to complain about! Thanks
I couldn't tell that this is a Michelin Star restaurant.
First of all, the location and design of the restaurant are of high-standard.
The overall atmosphere is classy but not over-the-top, which is ideal. I was sorry, however, to see customers in shorts and sport shoes. Maybe you should change your dress code policy.
The food was innovative and yet very faithful to Thai cuisine, which we found very special.
The service was perfect ; friendly and professional.
Congratulations to Chef Pim Techamuanvivit and the whole team.
Sandro & Anders - Principality of Monaco.
It was a mediocre hotel restaurant. There are much better places in Bangkok for sure such as Bo.Lan and Sawaan. It was definitely disappointing for both food and service.
Excellent food and beautiful presentation from the amuse-bouche to the espresso. Relaxed atmosphere and attentive service. Would definitely recommend.
We went for lunch and we had a sublime menu with fresh cocktails. High recommend
Restaurant overvalued in the specialized guides with a service without brio and a terrible sound level !
Something else is expected of a Michelin-starter restaurant or one of the 500 best restaurants in the world, where it should not stay long if it continues in its current register ...
Nothing intimate or gourmet.
If you don’t have time to read this - TLDR: DON’T DO IT. Not worth the money. I’ve lived in NY for 15 years and am a huge foodie. I’ve had the privilege of dining at places like Daniel to Casa Enrique in NY - which are both at different spectrums of dining on the Michelin list. The thing has been consistent is amazing food and impeccable service.
Nahm is far from it. The service was bad for a Michelin starred restaurant. We had to try and flag down multiple people to get new plates or wine refills. There was only one server for multiple tables..which is not something you expect when paying $250 per person. Empty food plates weren’t cleared from the table for a while.
The food...disappointing. The flavors were either to bland or too spicy and overpowering. They brought out multiple courses at the same time, which led to a lot of the food getting cold by the time you even get to that course. The server didn’t care to explain much about each dish or how to pair them. It was all rushed. There wasn’t anything that was an absolute standout that I’ll be raving about! Which is sad considering there are so many street carts in Bangkok I loved given their bold flavors!!
I’ve never written a review - but I’m compelled to now because I wish I hadn’t ignored the recent negative reviews I saw. I’m hoping someone else doesn’t make the same mistake I did. If in doubt, don’t do it. It wasn’t worth it. It was a huge disappointment.
everything is good but it's little bit to much spice for me . but it's still worth to try.
The tasting menu offered a huge amount of food, far too much for one person. It was a good review of different dishes from across Thailand. My server did a nice job of describing the different dishes and how to approach them. I rate them as only a 'fair' value in comparison to the "chef's designed food tour", which offered as good or better dishes at a far cheaper price.
The environment of Nahm is excellent and quiet. But I do not like dishes served by Nahm for these reasons. First of all, wine doens't really fit Thai Food because there is already sour and sweet tasting in my food. While the waiter recommended me a white wine and taste awful. Secondly, I am unfamiliar with Thai Food, but there is no obvious feature that Nahm has done better than any other Thai restaurants I have tried. Actually, food of Nahm taste delicious, but not enough while it costs 3000 bahts for one person.
Nahm was very well executed. Unfortunately it left expectations flat. The food was well prepared and the flavors were there, but we left uninspired and disappointed in our meal and our experience. I am an American. I lived in NYC for almost 10 years and have dined in many of the ‘top establishments.’ This obviously is my lens on this experience.
While I understand what they are trying to accomplish, I just don’t understand why there wasn’t much variety in the dishes. Meaning, the tasting menu had zero noodle options. It walls as if the kitchen felt that if they continue to serve: crab, lobster, prawn in almost everything we had, they could justify the price.
Dinner for two with one bottle of wine ~$400 USD!! If there was an option to order a pizza on my way home, I would have.
The tasting menu took me on a heavy Thai seafood journey I didn’t want to go on. We both left our mains, two ginormous prawns in their exoskeletons eyeballs, legs and all staring back at us. If I wanted peel and eat shrimp, I would order it.
Afterwards, we chatted briefly with the GM who mentioned they have heard this feedback a few times. They are trying to better educate patrons on what they are trying to do.....
For $150 USD it was a fine meal and and an Ok experience. For $400 USD I felt ripped off and disappointed in a Michelin Star restaurant.
Nahm is not what you think. I was embarrassed that my dinner guest asked me if I had even reviewed this place or looked at the menu.
You have better options. If you must spend $400 please go to the nearby Siam Mall and purchase a sweet pair of new Golden Goose sneakers instead. You will be much happier afterwards.
We had the set menu which was terrific except the soups.
The big surprise although we ony had two glasses of wine and two gin and tonics was the extras cost more than the food!
Mineral water 700 baht a bottle!
It was a very disappointing experience. Food was really spicy. The restaurant is definitely overrated.
My experience in Nahm was terrible and disappointing. I understand that my 2 1-year-old babies made noises which disturbed other customers. However, the restaurant manager just came to us and told us that some customers had complained us. He sound like he wanted us to leave and he didn’t give us any help. We have tried our best to keep the babies quiet, but they are only 1 year old and sometimes they cannot behave well. If your restaurant doesn’t welcome babies, you should have told us beforehand. Anyways, the service we received was definitely under expectations. I can’t believe it is one of the finest restaurants in Bangkok.
Very disappointing, we ordered a red duck curry which was horribly tangy. The prawns were ok, certainly not worth the price. Won’t be back.
We'd hoped that some of the Michelin star quality of the previous chef had carried over into the current chefs cooking.
Sadly not - the food was mid to mid-high and failed to have the something extra that you expect with a Michelin star.
My ratings are rather generous as we still had a great time due to the fantastic service.
The restaurant was very accommodating to our last-minute changes, and sent reminders about our reservation. The service was excellent, and staff spoke English well. The food was authentically Thai, and prepared to pretty high standards. It was a little noisy due to the crowd, but still acceptable. I particularly like that it was dark – creates a relaxed atmosphere.
Staff is very friendly and gave my brother a birthday surprise. We had a good time there
For a tasting menu, the taste was far from there. Highly disappointed with the amount we paid to what we received. Appetizers were fine but the entrees and main dishes were not good at all. The broth the wagyu beef was in our soup choices was straight up vinegar. The fried catfish with whatever greens it was in was just breading with bitter leaves. Nothing special. All hype. Desert was the best because how could you mess that up? Would never recommend or come back. The draw was the Michelin star chef and to be honest I had better quality in the street food than here.
An amazing experience! Exceeded our already high expectations. Food was superb and our server, Jhun, went above and beyond and made it a truly memorable experience. Will definitely return when we are Bangkok again.
It's a boring space with bad acoustics. Some of the food was great but others not very sophisticated. Beef was supposed to be wagyu but seemed thick, stringy, plain. The greens with shrimp were delicate and surprising. Crab was also good but not amazing. Dessert fruit option was really bad and almost like eating straight produce. Not acceptable for Thailand where the same fruit awaits you right outside for 1/10th of the price. Service was professional, but for a moderately busy restaurant of such renown we had to wait a long time to get noticed when we wanted to order.
Out of our overall expectation. The food is not surprised us. The service is not good as other Michelin restaurants.
Goooood food and service but too much cold with aircon and too much noisy
Great experience. Very tasty meals sometimes quite spicy but we where always warned. Beautiful coconut desert. I will come back.
